That's way cheaper than I thought it would be. The wife and I are talking about going full time RVing, and selling our house. This pricetag would be low enough to be able to be the trailer and the truck.
Not really there are a lot of good deals out there they really are you just have to be smart about it and no watch it really wanted and what you're willing to pay for it anything is negotiable
These are the absolute top of the line! My buddies parents bought the largest/longest triple axle model they make. They sold their home in the northwest and bought two small pieces of property, one in bend and the other in Southern California, had a covered pad poured and installed along with full hool-ups and they bounce back and forth between the two. There's isn't a toy hauler, it's a rear bedroom with side patio, middle kitchen/ dining with fireplace and TV with a front entertainment room with big couches and a 60 inch TV with surround sound. It has two bathrooms and a washer and dryer. They love it! They got lucky and found it brand new the way they wanted it for like 285k$. If they were to special order it, it would have been over 400k$! For 285k, it's nicer than many condo's of the same price. They bought a brand new ram 3500 dually that's FULLY loaded and it tows it like a dream! If you're in the market for a 5th wheel, luxe is the top of the top.
By far one of my favorite channels on UA-cam. Can’t help but appreciate someone who goes out and takes us places to see things we can’t all realistically go see for ourselves. Thanks for sharing kind sir.
Be careful, when that happens the price of this 5th Wheel is likely to be what your current estimated lifetime income is. Oh btw, this is currently listed at 172k :)
I love that there's a TUB! You forgot to mention the length of the tub. I wish they'd put in a soak tub in all RV's! So helpful for people with arthritis.
I've watched this 3 times in the last 2 days now. We have been talking about getting a toy hauler for full time living to accommodate our 2 daughters who may hit 6 feet tall as teens. This seems expensive, but at the same time, so many upgrades that are actually standard from this brand. It looks stunning, we really love the wider loft with the window overlooking the living room. I'd probably opt to have more seating as opposed to the dinette. This thing is amazing.
I have had a couple of beautiful homes the last one a very very nice Craftsman home that cost three times as much if that is the actual price that they stated above. And I've had things that weren't as nice for sure but if you think about it you really don't live in much space in a home not as much as you actually have in that rv. Also the importance of outside space I think is nice to decorate. You can really get a lot out of that as far as storage I've built a couple of side houses with concrete foundations to store my suits in and various things and it works out perfect. I highly suggest it if you were thinking about it definitely go with something quality though because many of them will simply melt so to speak.
Ours is currently on the production line. Same frame but a prototype floor plan. we would be happy to have @Big Truck Big RV to come review it once it is completed. We made quite a few changes based on our needs. They are expensive but it is the quality of the product that one pays for. Luxe delivers in that department.
We were set on the Luxe Elite, loved it! But by the time we priced it out, it was $179K! By the time we added a new Ford F-450, we were at $260K. Then we looked at a Thor Challenger Motor Coach 37FH at $139,999 and went with it! We love our Thor but Luxe would have been awesome! 💗
Because of my job I've been living in Rv's since the day I was born and am now 27 years old. one thing I find unacceptable for a $130K and up rig is at 2:10 the awning ends right by the door instead of going over the whole slide out. I have a 5th wheel like that and when it rains it rains x10 by the door because of this and it directs rain water to every RV's weak spot that is the slide out. then at 8:27 I also noticed that the front axle of the driver side has no inner fender or wheel well for the water to not splash yet again on the weak spot that is the slide out. For a full time RV those 2 things are just a matter of time until water gets in and ruins the whole coach.
Oh you have to know what you're doing and you have to know a lot and be educated on what you're buying are you can get a money pit as they call cars a lemon it does happen and there are absolutely unbelievable deals out there as well so you got to look at it both ways
Luke K Ray for sure! I pull a 45ft 5th wheel full time with a dually. Ive seen people pulling big trailers with 250’s. I wouldn’t pull anything that long without a dually. Even then I’ve felt some pretty strong crosswinds pulling across the Texas panhandle.
Bigger than half of NYC apts and CHEAPER!!!! 😂 BTW, I've learned a lot from you and your videos. I took a 6000 mile road trip out to Vegas. Saw nothing but buses, RVs, duelies, HD trucks hauling these, AMAZING. Makes me want to change my life style. Every place I went, there were camp grounds, made me less worried if I was ever to purchase 1 if these beauties. I personally love the Air Streams, because of the retro estetics. I don't really need all the bells and wistles. But, thank you!
Just know that many RV parks don’t allow RV’s as long as this. We have a 31ft. and we’ve ran into issues before. Maybe it’s just Cali that limits the size though.
Nathan Curet I would say an F550 with the 4.3 or 4.88 axle. That’s 6,000 lbs payload, not including fuel or passengers in the cab. You need something rated for 24000 lbs+ towing AND 7500 lbs+ payload.
Finally!! A good living room layout in a toy hauler! I don't get the mini tub in the bathroom which is common on toy haulers. No secondary entrance to bathroom which utilizes the space more effectively. I've seen a better shower layout in a competing unit but for toy haulers this is awesome!
So I think I like this one the best. I've watch a bunch of your videos and you do a wonderful job showing and describing the entire RV units. Thank you for making these interesting and knowledgeable, and not corny and lame.
Impressive. I like it. The main problem I see with this is finding a site large enough for it. The size limits accessibility, but when you find one, you're set for a good time.
Great home on wheels. He seemed amazed and made note of how everything was nicer than many. With the the price of this, I would hope it would be nice...very nice.
That look amazing. I am that person who has trouble with floorplans and liking them, I love that floor plan. I think I know where to get my final rig from.
She is pretty but I was shocked at how low the CCC was with a 16' garage I could fit my SxS and my big quad and a dirt bike or two or my current load and that eats up 2000 lbs in just toys. Plus all the normal stuff we take. For my family of 5 dry camping for a week with ATVs our load with lots of water and gas is right near 5k. She sure is nice and looks very well built.
@@tysleight I was thinking for stability in a sidewind to go for the F650, but you are right with 16 ft of garage you could blow past the weight if you filled it.
@@tysleight A lot of buyers like the TH for the garage flexibility ... in our case, we need a place for an office, a place for several people to sit around a table and we'd carry no more than a couple of scooters (Honda PCX-150's). There's always a trade-off ... if you want it super nice inside, it's going to limit the cargo. Seems to me there are weekend toy haulers better suited to weekend'ers and they cost a lot less to boot.
Single axle Peterbilt 389, 500 cummins, double over 13 speed, 3.25 rear, lo-pro 24.5s. Stable, plenty of power, and it would look cool as hell! Might even get 12-14 mpg.
Very impressive. One question, how difficult it would be to find a state park or an RV park to accommodate something this big, what is the percentage of not being able to get an RV spot because of its size? Please expand on it because we are considering to build one of them for a fulltime living and traveling in the US and Canada. Thank you!
Great Review!!! We have been looking at the Luxe 39FB for a couple of years. In Sept 2018, we drove to Elkhart IN and toured the factory. We were sold on getting the 39FB, then had a change of plans. We are now heading back to Elkhart, in June 2019, to look at their toy haulers. We are still 18 months from going full time in an RV; however, when we do we will be in a Luxe RV. Thanks again for the review.
Luxe and just about any other mass producer should never be mentioned in the same sentence. There's Spacecraft, New Horizons, Luxe and DRV (in that order IMHO). Then everyone else. Once you've spent some time in any of those, you'll be very disappointed with just about anything else. But you have to PAY for it. Which is a shame really. Other than clearly better, more contemporary materials and looks, the build quality is much better. I can't believe some of the stuff I've seen in RV's... even those that are at or over $100K (5ers) and $350K+ DP's.
I watched it twice and both times I missed the swimming pool. I think I'll take a nap then watch it again:-) For the record, he does a great job reviewing the different R.V.'s!
That was the nicest toy hauler I have ever seen. Only the benches would remind you that you were in a toy hauler. Didn't even know Luxe did toy haulers. Love the dinette. Looks like it had storage underneath. BTW, has anyone noticed Luxe doesn't seem to do dual bedroom slides?
My RV is a 2006 Springdale 292LR with 2 slideouts. 1 is the bunks and the other is the couch. I sleep in a twin-sized bed and beside it is a bathroom with a handtouch toilet and a sink with a shower towards it. When I play video games, It is at my gaming PC with a few games and a gaming TV and my laptop I watch your videos and comment. And it is a 5th wheel trailer with Bunk beds and a weight limit is 12,276 pounds
Caught myself watching this again because it’s such an awesome unit. This guy kills me. I also watched a video on selling RVs . The dude talked about “Tellers vs Sellers” the teller loves to talk about the RV and the seller focuses quickly on the intent of the buyer and what his or her needs are for the unit. I can understand both trains of thought here but so many people buy RVs and never understand all the options. I would rather spend the time telling so the customer feels more comfortable about buying the unit. It’s a major purchase. Why not treat the experience with respect.
This Rv is the best one that I’ve seen so far. It comes with a pop up den and a spot to grill or set outside and watch the kids play or just set and have a few drinks. This company did there thing, like they went all out and threw in the kitchen sink and then some
9:45 Really the spec labels are uneven adhesive not cleaned from the trim I stopped watching at that point if they can't do a simplistic task in plain sight what's out of sight
So glad you took the time to stop by and check out Luxe, one of our top picks. On the way back to Texas, stop off in Kansas and see New Horizons if you want your mind blown.
You can go on their website and build and price your unit. When I priced the things I wanted it was in the $160k range. But at the same time these are generally the last coach you buy.
I'm assuming they got their name from just removing the "D and E" which I've always found to be a perfect fit. Just absolutely gorgeous. Doesn't get any better than this.
My husband wants a Toy Hauler. I want the Keystone Montana 3921FB with the soaking tub. OK, THIS is a compromise! He gets his Toy Hauler and I get my bathtub! There are a couple of problems, however. His Chevy 2500 won't pull it and I don't think we could afford a semi to pull it AND the camper after we paid for the semi, IF we could even AFFORD the semi! Now my snobby in-laws could afford it but they're too busy buying yachts!
The very best. Spacecraft, New Horizons, these are the absolute best in 5th wheel manufacturers. After further review... This is a top end, very, very nice trailer. WOW!!!
We had a chance to tour DRV, LUXE, and New Horizons. In the end, New Horizons won our vote, substantially more but we felt it they were worth the additional cost.
@@krane15 one of the biggest reason we chose New Horizons is because they make all of their frames in house specific to the coach being built. Yes, New Horizons is 100% custom, Luxe is semi custom meaning you have floor plans to choose from and you choose you options of trim from what they offer. New Horizons will build anything you want with any wood trum/counter surface/flooring you want.
When he reviews rvs with out someone he makes complaints and says oh this needs to be improved and he picky but when he reviews with the designer he make no complaints at all
You know, I would have paid a lot of money to see a vlog with you and the former president Chris Eppers of Augusta RV (at the time) for his knowledge, dynamic, and enthousiasme that presented his passion of the productions reflected to the costumers. I really miss this guy, he was awesome and extremely educative! Again, great video JD as usual and you clearly know your material! It it The floorplans of my dream, but at 179, 999$ USD plus a new TV, I have to lean elsewhere...
Very nice unit. The major problem is how many camp grounds can you find to park it in? Campgrounds really do not like to allow that many large camping spaces, they rather have the more camping spaces for the units that there are the most of. It is a numbers game. If I were building a campground, I would not have that many camp sites to house something this large, because there are not that many this size. Beautiful construction.
As much as I can admire from afar these beautiful giant RV's. I first have to consider what I need to pull it. At a minimum an F-650 w/8.3 L.. The Tractor can't be sized so that it gets wagged by the Tail. Also, parking this anywhere would be a major headache. It's just bigger/longer than most parking spaces. Do parks charge Double?
Nice RV, maybe some day when we retire, this will be a contender for our hopefully full time Rving. I would pick different outside colors but that is just a preference. Thanks for introducing this line that I had not heard of before.
Holy cow - 3" sidewalls?!!! Is the fluid reservoir for the disc brakes? I enjoy watching people passionate about their product. Ed is obviously enthusiastic. If I ever purchase another RV, this brand will be on the short list :)
Can put a second floor section on roof can be air pressure pumped up to be more space for balcony or biggest room or others things and SOLAR panels on roof

Geez, That would be too stressful pulling that around. Very Nice...for someone else haha
If only uncle Eddie showed up on Christmas with this!
I’ve seen a few car/toy haulers that were 50’ but they were on triple axle duals.
Tony Ashford my toy-hauler has 3-7K torque flex and 48’ with a goose neck.
Damn, that thing is AMAZING!! I WANT TO LIVE IN IT FULL TIME!!!
I’ve got a weekend warrior made by the rv factory and it is a fabulous coach.
Not many places in CA would allow a trailer this big
Nothing is allowed in california tho
This Rv is the best one that I’ve seen so far. It comes with a pop up den and a spot to grill or set outside and watch the kids play or just set and have a few drinks. This company did there thing, like they went all out and threw in the kitchen sink and then some
THIS THING IS UNREAL. NO WORDS. SERIOUS.
My dream toy hauler 💜💜 I'm in love 😍 Now all I need is a man to drive it around and share it with 😅
I got you covered😉
Wow wow wow!! That thing is MASSIVE! Very few options for tow vehicles. 😳
Semi truck...tons of options Volvo’s are really nice and good used ones less than a 1 ton
WOW! I could live in this beauty! Put down permanently, what a luxury beauty it is!
Iam gonna start saving ! Wow- sure is Beautiful. The craftsmanship is unbelievable! !! : ) Thanks
Because after you buy it, you'll never be able to afford another one! ;-)
@@Milesco lmao, true.
I was thinking an app to use for used RVs for sale nationwide
You got me with the tv in the laundry room!!!
"So on this size of coach guys you're definitely going to want to be in at least a single rear wheel Prius"
chadly1337 I’d suggest at least a Smart car for stability. Plus it still fits in the garage
😂😂😂I was literally about to ask...."so my Fiat would tow no problem right?"
This is the first actual toy hauler Id want.. Even without toys all that space is so well layed out!
“Ok fine I’ll go camping”
This guy says beautiful more than anybody I know and the beautiful count starts now
Amazing rv makes my luxury 43’ grand design momentum toy hauler like an amateur... but I’m sure is freaking heavy
Every time the guy shows you something, “and the kids will love this!”
I'm assuming they got their name from just removing the "D and E" which I've always found to be a perfect fit. Just absolutely gorgeous. Doesn't get any better than this.
L shaped couch and U shaped kitchen??! AND a dinette? it's perfect, wow
Ha ha ha I am with Mountain Hobbler. When the year income is a monthly income. It is one beautiful 5th wheel there is no doubt. Thanks for sharing JD.
Lol 😆 You CAN'T Go wrong with this Hauler!
@@highlandgrip Can you give us at least one reason why? Did it offer something the others did not?
These are more of a custom manufacture, don't you think?
When I go camping I just take a tent. Lol!
Maybe in my next life. That is beautiful! But for right now I'm grateful for what I have and it works.
Super awesome review and RV
Holy cow - 3" sidewalls?!!! Is the fluid reservoir for the disc brakes? I enjoy watching people passionate about their product. Ed is obviously enthusiastic. If I ever purchase another RV, this brand will be on the short list :)
THIS WAS A BEAST 💘 IT ✔ SUPER BOSS . I love living this lifestyle from a SEMI to A TOYHAULER
I just subscribed to your channel!
Can put a second floor section on roof can be air pressure pumped up to be more space for balcony or biggest room or others things and SOLAR panels on roof
Loved the remark about watching tv in the closet. LOL
Doghouse 😊
Awesome, This would be something to sell everything (If You Can) & purchase this to live in for life
Wow! I do not own a 5th wheel yet, but now I know this one is on my top 5 buy list!
I like 👍🏼 that pass through storage, it’s huge and JD I bet you could probably crawl through it to the other side of wanted to 😮😊
I can pull that with my F-350 6.7L Turbo Diesel Dually w/410 Rear. My biggest concern would be the wind.
notsosilentmajority1 idk id want a 450 or even a 550 to pull that, just think that thing weighs more than three times as much as your truck
@@jaredchampagne2752
You may be right brother. I no longer push the limits on most things, that includes towing. I couldn't afford that sucker anyway, lol.
@@jaredchampagne2752 you realize the maximum tow rating on the new 350 is 35k pounds right
So is my Fiat out of the question?😁
That's a nice fifth wheel there's another video out on that particular unit that goes into more detail of what the options are.
Here is another video on this Luxe luxury Toy Hauler. Priced at $172,884.00. ua-cam.com/video/hdIhxPK-ups/v-deo.html
I missed your stern warning about towing at or near your vehicles capacity.... Oh wait, you only issue those kind of warnings to 1/2 ton truck owners...
I LOVE IT!!!!! the price is great as well!!!
Your F450 would look great pulling that, Honda Talon in the garage...
I agree
The price is way over my budget by $100,000 dollars
I cant imagine the down payment and monthly payments. Great video
I know how you feel about those hydraulic landing gears! Almost bought a Forest River Silverback and recall they were leaking on a new unit...
I think LUXE's standard spec legs are.

That was awesome! I particularly REALLY REALLY like the loft being part of the garage! That is huge for me. I want that to be part of my children’s bedroom space. I also love that front facing living room. Very nice.
Thank you for sharing this.
Have you gone a SpaceCraft Manufacturing trailer or yet! I’d love to see your take on them!
Would you consider reviewing an HDT tow vehicle? RVHLifestyles is one company I am interested in as well.
Thank you for considering it!
I'm waiting to see a review of Spacecraft's semi trailer campers.
It’s basically an RV for the Cheaper by the dozen family, everything seems only “good for kids” lol
