There are conversion kits that allow for the hard drives, for the R3 systems and cabling that keeps it clean and professional looking. I used a conversion kit in mine, I have the R2 which is mostly the same. I also put two laptop Hard-drives in mine, an SSD and a HDD for storage. I also have the GTX960 graphics in mine and 16gbs of ram in it and the intel i7-2600 3.4ghz. This was pretty informative though. Thank you.

It's a cheaper option that doesn't require additional parts.

Thank you very much for uploading this video. It helped me switch my HDD into an SSD. I was able to do a fresh install and now I don't have an issue where my computer is at 100% disk and crashes when I try to play Dead by Daylight.

Call me cautious but I wouldn't use flammable material to have that SSD fix in a better position. Thing is, without something underneath the SSD, it does look pretty wobbly so I'm not sure if that would impact the user experience down the road. It's a tricky situation with these things. Great video, thank you.

@@ItsBinhRepaired Thanks. After I did this I tried changing the RAM speed to 2666 MHz but as I had upgraded the RAM prior it seems that RAM didn't have support for it.
For me the fix was to short the CMoS jumpers while the PC is plugged in until it turns on, then turn it off, reinsert the GPU, and I'm good to go.

I was thinking of upgrading my machine but was told that "Alienware, especially their older systems, often use proprietary components--they're non-standard and therefore not easily upgradable or replaceable. And even if the motherboard were standard and could support a modern graphics card, there's a strong chance the system's current power supply would be insufficient, another part that would likely be hard to replace or upgrade."
Is that true? Can I save myself money by upgrading GPU and other parts or not at all? I'm somewhat computer savvy but not when it comes to hardware.

@@ItsBinhRepaired it's much, much better to save up some extra funds in order to finally build your own PC. Follow Paul's Hardware on how to build one and what to do once you finished installing the parts and you turn it on for the very first time. He's got videos on these two critical stages of custom PC building. P.S. Alienware is such trash. I guess they're only good as a gift if you get one with really good parts and the user doesn't have to worry about all the bloatware having such a negative impact on performance due to the overhead that modern CPUs and GPUs would have.
