- Hey Everyone!! Fighting Risen Valstrax With Bow In Monster Hunter Sunbreak, In todays video i was asked to go fight risen crimson glow with a ranged weapon (preferably bow) so that's what i did. Hope You Enjoy

Great video! I hated this monster as a bow main at first, but once I memorized when to DB, the fight became much more fun.
By the way, his super spin and super stab can be Dodgebolted. None of it is a multi hit. Timing of DB for super spin is a bit tricky since you might need to check where he will start spinning, sometimes the start of the spin hits you, sometimes it takes him a 1 whole spin to hit you. Super Stab is cake walk to DB. if his wings start to move forward a little bit while charging the super stab, that's the time to DB.
The only move I hate in this monster is the laser as the second laser seems to lock on you no matter where you evade plus that BS explosion hitbox is annoying af.
Hey Pyrac, great job from what ive seen. I come with a challenge if you like, LS without any kind of counter or evasion attack (evade window still permitted), something that you know it can be fun to play without great reflexes and timing, no matter the monster, something that you know can be interesting, thanks for your attention :)
Fighting CG Valstrax with Greatsword is like the worst experience for me due to all his follow up attack and explosion. My fav weapon to use against CG Valstrax is Insect Glaive. Being able to easily target it's spine is a plus with IG.
I'd suggest berserk along with adamant charged slash paired with rage slash, along with stun res 3. As long as you're paying attention to your health the hyper armor from both moves make his explosions less annoying.
GS definitely has a harder time compared to other weapons because it really relies on your knowledge of the monsters movesets... For me I find fighting valtrax with GS a relaxing time because he's basically a slower and less erratic version of Primordial Malzeno, and I spent so many hours trying to beat him cause I was stubborn and refused to switch to my LS which I know I definitely could have used to beat him much earlier
@@Muyshtic agreed, honestly I had much harder time in HR fighting Barioth compared to fighting Risen CG Valstrax in MR. It is just I'm way too used on Insect Glaive XD. So using great sword feels too slow yet it was my 2nd choice of weapon after IG.
@@blacktelogretchen477 ohh I know that feeling haha, when I picked up learning LS and HH it made GS feel so much slower and clunky after returning to it 🤣... It made me wish I had the fluidity and easy to land counters of LS and the stun and knockbacks of HH
But I will always love and miss the feeling whenever I land a perfectly timed (mostly luck and definitely not calculated) Rage/True Charged Slash that sends a monster reeling back, and especially with strongarm stance I think it really helped bring a bit of fluidity to GS that was missing before, it took me quite a while and lots of frustration to try and learn it and get used to using it... Especially having to unlearn a bit of old habits from World (tackle through everything)
I wish I could see your Palico's full setup with skills weapons and armor o: and palamutes aswell xD it always looks so smooth on your side im every video. Meanwhile i have no clue what to do with them xD
For the cats the only thing that's important is to have the extra wirebugs they can place down and i just keep the jellyfish weapon on them for para you can also choose whichever secret support moves, i generally have one with lottery box and the other with healing bats. Dogs have a little bit too much to explain in a comment but its basically just elemental chain blade setup with the highest element for each weapon on them with elem atk up,counter hit,melee centric
@@Pyrac uhh okay thx, and types for cats? Healing or smthing else?
@@kehakusuzumiya1473 whatever you want, i run healing cat for the health horn (thing that randomly heals a bunch of my hp) and the fighter gives you like 30% affinity every now and then
We feel the same way about risen shaggy. Even with Lance i find that fight a little frustrating
How about trying to get stuns with weapons that normally aren't associated with them? Like RBD spam GL.

Hi , can you do a throwback to base rise and try an emergency apex zinogre with dual blades using only HR equipment ?
I mean maybe? That's kind of pointless since the values on attacks got adjusted with sunbreak so i would just bully him regardless
Was this a special investigation because he felt soooooo much faster than what im used to
na it was regular, the special one you need 2 evade extender to get away from his combo consistantly
@@Pyraci learn this the hard way...especially the ult where he spin n double stab u..the stab part is the problem for me....
u need proper positioning even with 1 evade extender to counter those..bcos once yr counter hit the wing on the 1st stab, the delay from the animation will slow u down making it hard to counter the 2nd stab😅

At this point Risen CG Vals are the easiest risen for me...bcos u can script his run...so much topple moment...n also bcos u can use khezu bow😁
Is it save to play bow in berserk mode without Kushala blessing3 ?
