@@LoneWulfRick, why??
No worries. I've downloaded all the missing episodes I need 😂👍

Adore both of you, great sons (am sure) 💪♥️
Easily one of the greatest shows ever produced
Thanks for watching
I agree. I grew up watching the entire series on it's second release, I think it was 1971 or 1972. I was glued to the tv when this show came on at around 8 years old. I'm glad someone has finally uploaded it so thanks Lone Wulf Rick!
Make no mistake: this is the greatest TV series ever made.
Thanks for watching
I concur!
Yes, the greatest TV series ever made!
@@aileenwagner2576 I concur with you.
I must agree. When I put myself back in that decade this series was part of the backdrop. We lived with it every week for 4 seasons. And when he was free we felt WE were free. Oh, what good TV once was.
Love that back in the '60's, hour long shows had only 10 minutes of commercials!!! 50 minute shows vs 38 minutes today...
Thanks for watching
And Remember back then when they had 25 - 30 episodes per season Starting in Sept. to May then maybe summer reruns & then new eps. started again in Sept. & unlike today you didn't have to wait YEARS for new ones
@mikeprimok41 nobody swore but we were all passed off back then too, and then there was the CHEWING GUM🤣🇦🇺
Ps PISSED
On top of it, now the commercials are shorter, so they cram more of them in.
This was pretty much what everyone in America was watching every week; it was that popular. I'm in my 70's by the way.
The fugitive was a huge hit in Australia 🇦🇺 as well David Jansen a unique actor .
Thank you for watching
Australia too - sigh, oh for those blessed good old days!
This and Peyton Place
I'd rather stay home to watch "The Fugitive" than go out with my friends when I was a teen. The final episodes were like the final "MASH" episode. Everybody was watching!
THIS WAS WHEN TV WAS WORTH WATCHING !! NOT NOW !!!!!!!!!

You got that right! All I watch is old shows

Jansen must have been the most perfectly proportioned actor. Loved his calm and collected demeanor
He was perfect for this roll. Thanks for watching
David Jansen was such an understated actor , he had a certain presence and created an atmosphere.
Guys, I like Jansen because I grew up watching this show, but truthfully? He's kind of stiff!
@@WintersWar Calm demeanor upon surface, but ranging pile of anxiety underneath. I loved how Janson used subtle clues, the nervous tick of mouth; apprehensive looks in his eyes. Especially when encountered law enforcement.
I remember watching this religiously in the 60's with my whole family on our B&W Astor tv in Melbourne, Australia, I was about 7 or 8 years old.
Hello there from the other side of the world in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. I watched this as a kid in Brooklyn NY

I was born in 1956 and this show figures huge in my childhood. I would go to the movies and buy candy cigarettes, it was the only place I could get them, and then I would pretend that I was David Janssen. I thought he was coolest. And the finale episode was epic.
I was also born in 1956. Candy cigarettes at the movies, YES!

I agree. William Conrad does a superb job of narration.

Sadly many smokers die too early. David and my wife both died from the same affliction. She smoked 2 packs a day and died at 50 years old. I stopped smoking 20 years ago. It's never too late to quit until it is. RIP

I adored The Fugitive as a young teen. It was a very good tv show with MANY great episodes!
You know a drama is great when it needs only a couple of rooms for the entire show. ;
I was born in 1956 in Argentina, the best TV series that I saw here were the USA series ever !!!
Best series ever, is amazing the further we go to the past the better it gets. And here we all are 2024 and tv shows suck.
Indeed
That fight between David and Brian at the end near the busses left David with a couple of broken ribs, but he kept working! One helluva actor!!!

Complete nonsense
I don't know. Seems like American civilization took a dive following World War Two, and I'm not sure we've hit bottom yet.
The story line is about an incompetent justice system convicting an innocent man. He goes to a town that looks sideways at domestic abuse. The local cops are moronic thugs that ignore domestic violence. The husband thinks its a good idea to murder a bartender his ex wife is friendly with. That's your "civilized America'??? My god. Agreed. I never missed an episode. Jansen was great as the star. He mastered that look of fear that someone would recognize him no matter where he went. Barry Morse forever known as Lt. Gerard. Great TV!

QM production, I love that dramatic music. The suspenceful music telling a story. Man , those kettle drums and horns.

The music for the series was very well done. And the theme was haunting and sad. I've seen all 120 episodes twice, and I'm going to watch them for a third time soon.
The difference between a studio orchestra and canned music.
Never get tired of watching The Fugitive ! When men we're men, women we're women & chrome was thick ! 🤔

When men we are men, and women we are women? 😂

I was 8 years old when The Fugitive premiered. My siblings and I loved it, watched every week. Dad took me to a local discount store to buy gym shoes for school. There were some greaser dudes with their girlfriends hanging out in the lobby as we left the store. "C'mon, man, let's go. I gotta get home and watch The Fugitive", one said. I thought how cool, greasers watch what I like. Maybe that makes me cool, too! Well, no, I wasn't. Thanks for this first episode.

This was my ALLTIME FAVORITE, "The Fugitive."...A Quin Martin Production. Staring David Jensen as DR. Richard Kimble. Back in the day when TV was made for FAMILIES, when the actors and actresses were SKILLED and took PRIDE in their Profession. When this series premired, I was 4 years old and turned 5 that July of '63. Today's TV shows aren't worth a DAMN!!

The unmistakable voice of William Conrad did the narration. The final episode holds 3rd place in all time Nielson ratings. 72% of US households viewed that episode
Vera Miles and David Janssen worked great together. Too bad she didn't do another episode together!
Thanks for watching
always loved this show…
Ms. Miles was a class act. As was Mr. Janssen.
It's a shame that Janssen the man didn't live the modest lifestyle that you'd have associated with his t.v. persona: instead, it's said that he partied, boozed and smoked to excess, all to a fatal- and rapid decline that aged him into an early, sudden death at 48.
@@None-zc5vg I totally agree!

0:08 - "The name: Dr. Richard Kimble. The destination: Death row, State Prison. The irony: Richard Kimble is innocent, proved guilty what Richard Kimble could not prove was that moments before discovering his murdered wife's body, he saw a one-armed man running from the vicinity of his home. Richard Kimble ponders his fate as he looks at the world for the last time. And sees only darkness. But in that darkness, fate moves its huge hand."

Just found this. Have never watched a single episode since it originally aired. Wow! Can’t wait to finish this one, and the rest. Agree with other commenters, this show was much more than the sum of its parts.
The whole nation was on edge in the final episodes. It was surreal actually.
TY 🙏 for bringing this back.

With pipes like that, William Conrad was a busy voice talent at the time. Like "Route 66", this series did most of its filming on location. The final episode of the series had the highest rating of any TV show before it. Wrapping up the story in the final episode also killed its value as a syndicated series.
Thanks for watching
Such a great series…one of the all time best.
I'm 70 and therefore remember this show. It was one of my faves so I'm so pleased to have re-discovered it and will probably binge-watch from now on.
Back when there was only three local TV stations on TV before cable and most people had rabbit ear antenna you can still feel today after watching this how powerful and intriguing this first episode was and still is today. Thanks for posting

Have watched for years but until now had never seen the FIRST EPISODE - seeing the actual beginning as it was happening - from the train ride to derailment. It helped define the whole series - along with hearing him, for the first time confessing to the woman in his own words, his circumstances.
