So this made me think of something I never considered before--does taking hormones affect your height at all? Like would you become taller as a man than you might've as a woman, or does that have more to do with any growth hormones? Not even sure you can answer this, but it made me wonder.

Final adult height is quite strongly determined by genetics but in your case, genetics messed up a bit and you were born in a female body, therefore your hight was influenced more by your Mum than your Dad, so that's why :) Also there's an environmental influence as well, you have some genetically given max height you can reach but if you have some negative factors present while growing up (malnutrition, stress, psychological troubles...) it might not have been fully reached.
