Right behind that Shamrock Inn is the Withlacoochee State Bike Trail. Its the longest paved bike trail in Florida. Yes, Longer than the Pinellas Trail. I was up there on the trail a few times. It goes straight through many of these small towns. The inverness area has lots of airboats and swamps. You could visit Flying Eagle Preserve, Juniper Creek WMA, Ft Cooper state park, Potts and Halfmoon WMA's. Beautiful unspoiled wetlands, some of the best scenery in Florida. Acess by airboat and kayaks some boats. Another interesting video.

I didn't know that they made the Alicia into a State Park. That shows how long it has been since I've been canoeing down the Alicia River since I moved from Tampa to Inverness. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the info!

This brought back memories too, when we started on our RV life we had a break down and a lady on my fb friends list offered to let us park in her back yard in Inverness Florida and connect to her power until we got it fixed, she needed her home painted and we stayed for many weeks while hubby painted her house for free as a thank you. We visited the courthouse where Elvis made the movie but did not go inside. Gonna check out your inside video. Subbed PS happy that you aren’t afraid to get out without a mask 😷 we are going to Dollywood tomorrow face coverings are mandatory, it will be the first time we’ve worn anything to cover our face during this whole mess 🦠 we’ve been in Tennessee and masks were not required, we did respect social distancing so that we did not put anyone in fear

The Burger Station burgers aren't as thick or as good as they used to be. I was there around the same time as you & a few times after & they were awesome. A friend & I were there recently & the burgers weren't even as big as McDonald's cheeseburgers & the food was cold when we got it. So sad because the food used to be awesome. It's too overpriced for what you get now. The price was a great price when I first started going there & well worth it then, but not anymore. You should go back to see for yourself. I enjoyed this video about Floral City, Inverness & Hernando! I live in Inverness & I love living here. I used to live in Tampa, Temple Terrace & Oldsmar areas before moving to Inverness 16 yrs ago. Definitely different lifestyles than Tampa, but I love it & don't miss the bumper to bumper traffic of the big city. I'm retired now & loving life. I love to travel, so keep up the good work & keep us all informed about other places to travel to. Take care & stay safe!
My Dad made a lot of iconic fiberglass roadside attractions like Paul Bunyan,Bobs big boy ,the Ford Mustang horse which is what the emblem was copied from,he made a elephant and many others which can be seen in a short Amazon ebook for only 14.99 called "The man behind the mufflerman ".
I don't even eat meat but that chicken sandwich looked so good! Side note: I cannot wait for Busch Gardens to open this week, how do you think the crowds will be?

I went to the Chicken King to try the fried chicken sandwich that you got from there & needless to say the meat portion was about half the size of the one you ordered, it tasted good but however for $7 for the sandwich & a bag of chips I think I will go to McDonald's & get 2 cheap McChicken sandwiches 😏
