The first one was great, the second movie was a failure. Great review 👍👍👍
This is one of those movies where you know the sequal has no chance of being better. Reminds me of the Cube movies
Man I was so confused when I saw Trimagasi, but I just thought he survived somehow, and then I saw Baharat and I was confused even more but still I didn't think that this might be a prequel, because for me I thaught Goreng was the one who brought the loyalist system and he is the master, so I thought it has to be a sequel but only at the end, that I realised it's a prequel.
And I believe when I there is no kids left that's when the platform is beaten.
And man that Zero gravity thing confused the hell out of me 😂😂
Trickle down foodonomics
I also noticed something about the last floor.
Last floor's number is 333.
Hell's number ( for the boomers, the number of the beast ) is 666.
Its literally telling us how the whole building is a purgatory.
Or at least thats how I elaborated the info.
About the two movies, I totally agree with you.
Most of the stuff in the second movie feel forced, and none of the characters are expanded too much upon, unlike the first movie, where you feel the danger and the anxiety of the characters who don't know which floor they will land upon the first day of the month.
I also felt like the connections to the first film are too forced.
Its a prequel, that began as sequel, and ended up in the nothingness.
They also tried to tie up the child story of the first movie by showing us her and the mute girl, with that strange pyramid and the children running around it.
I believe they tried to give an extra meaning to the end of the first film, by telling us that the true exit from the platform is by saving one of the children who is so "lucky" to end up in the platform.
I actually believe they are chosen based on the height they reach by the time the lamp goes on? Dont really know.
That felt kinda lame to me, as I believe the ending of the first film was perfect as it was, leaving space for discussion.
Its like nolan coming after 8 years to tell us that the totem would indeed stop cause Leo Di Caprio was not in a dream.
But much, much, much worse.
And unneeded.
Greetings from Italy, nice video.
Bummer man. Was looking forward to this, really enjoyed the first one
Great review! While I enjoyed the first one I was expecting this to feel unnecessary. Will you review Heartstopper season 3?
I’m not sure? My season two review didn’t get much love haha
just watched and was lost exactly why I'm here lol
I really liked both hope they keep making more
This could have been so much better smh first half was decent than it got confusing for nothing
I liked both and I think this movie is pretty solid, yeah the pacing isn’t great, and I agreed you don’t really connect to the characters as much but I think it’s just because they’re so many more in this film compared to the first. I liked the ideas and the twist up that it’s not a sequel that was great to learn. I’m interested to get some answers if they make a third movie though. Hopefully an actual sequel this time and answers to the symbolism, what the bottom of the pit actually is, how it was made and so on.
Are You Going To A Live Steam This Month?
Watched it before going to work and hated it but as I was working and thinking about it and letting it digest I was liking it more and more. I had to sit with it for sure. Ya had to go into it knowing the divine comedy theory from the first one for sure.
I have to check this out.
the first 5 mins was like watching a mrbeast video
Another movie that didn't need a sequel.
Amazing review! Felt exactly the same. Nevertheless, its a movie you have to watch!
I feel like the things ppl complained the new one lacked actually showed just that 😭💀 I don’t get the hate
The first one motivated me to lose weight n did .
Nice, how much did you loose?
...how? why?
Congratulations!
loose? you mean lose
4:36 💀💀💀
Everything about this movie was strange. Tryed to be "art" ended up complete nonsense trying to much.
Back to back dookie sequels, first joker now this 😢
