    Dude I get nervous just holding someone else's phone, worried I'll drop it and break it, I cannot imagine the stress of being in a submerged cave pulling along an unconscious child where any mistake could lead to them drowning. My god.

    10+ days straight in a cave , low oxygen , no place to sleep , cold af cave that's wet and deep. I would cry till my eyes bleed honestly. such despair situation.

      The young assistant coach was honestly the MVP, he kept the kids calm and rationed the food they had, and never gave up on hope. Despite it was him who led the kids inside the cave, he tried his best to be a leader and it showed. Dude even started his own soccer training facility now and is doing great.

    There is a fantastic movie that was made about this recently, called Thirteen Lives. I recommend it to anybody, it's a gripping watch and it portrayed the sheer terror of the situation and how impossibly difficult the diving rescue mission was perfectly.

    "Afaik there's no threat of war inside a cave" is the most savage argument for the british guys' contribution lol
    Awesome job on their part, they were willing to do that.

    Bro if that kid didn't get picked up by his mom would anyone even know where that team had been this whole time?

      Likely they would've found all their bikes at the cave entrance eventually, but the extra time might honestly have made the rescue impossible. Had the rescue been just a day or two later, I think the flooding would've gotten too severe.

    To answer your question about what the boys were doing in the cave to begin with, if memory serves I believe the caves during the dry season are like an attraction or a park that people can go and explore.

    The movie is actually really REALLY good I would highly recommend watching it. I remember seeing this story on Sky news and praying for their mothers. It was a terrifying situation. 10 mins in a dark cave is terrifying, especially if its not your thing.

    sitting in absolute darkness. no food. dirty water to drink. Hearing 12 other people move around stressed out of their minds. Never knowing if the water's going to get worse and drown you in your sleep.
    That does sound fun, I should go find a cave in my area to walk around in! christ, I'd rather just die

    Imagine killing 2 people and using a lot of tax payer's money just because 12 kids and a coach got bored and want to explore a cave during the worst season possible. And instead of getting punished they actually become legends.

      It's not explained here but the boys went to the cave to celebrate one of their birthdays and the storm came much earlier than expected. The cave is closed during rainy seasons but is otherwise a tourist attraction and somewhere the locals enjoy. At the time it was open for anyone. I think they've started closing it earlier now.

    Lol the cringe Elon hate in chat. Basement dwellers thinking they know more and better than a billionaire engineer. One guy even typed "hes larping as an engineer" homie you larping as a useful person to society.

    • @gaynorhead2325
      @gaynorhead2325 Рік тому +18

      The “billionaire” engineer turned up in Thailand offering up a submersible to “rescue” the boys. He had no idea how narrow some of the passages were barely big enough for a human to riggle through, no way could his submersible get through. Plus he’d given no thought to how the boys were supposed to breathe during the 3+ hours journey out, it had no supply of oxygen. When told his contraption was no use he called the guy a pedo! What a hero! Not!
