Whoa! This was a long one, but one of my favorite videos to make. We get to show your thoughts vs mine. Even though it's not fully a direct comparison, I loved seeing how your guys opinion differed from mine!
One of the common themes here is people not liking ability micro. Whether towers towers with abilities are actually good or not, having to keep up with a dozen abilities late game isn't very fun for most people.
I think what we're learning here is that a lot of people don't like deriving power from the abilities lol and prefer passive popping power, myself included
that's the nice way of putting it. how I would put it is: most people are awful at the game and refuse to improve in the name of laziness, you included. realistically, if they did try abilities, they'd find good timing isn't that hard to do on most of them and that they produce extremely good results. you can also just like look up a guide lol
I think bomb blitz got tons of votes because people were voting more for the path as a whole rather than only the 5th tiers. Recursive cluster is *easily* the strongest and most fun 4th tier, but when it comes to 5th tiers bomb blitz is just... okay. The others are a lot better as 5th tiers.
Bottom path Beast Handler is incredibly underrated. A decent Pouakai makes round 98 childs play. It struggles a bit with DDTs but if you pair it with a top path wizard or something it’s crazy.
@@prosnorkulous4831 no it’s fundamentally unbalanced in terms of support. I get the deleting 3/4 of the balloons makes him a good damage tower, but even removing that he will still be able to instantly move Bloons at the end of the track to the front as long as the track overlaps
Yeah, the Pouakai has been my favorite one so far. It's cheap, it can solo 100+, and it's got amazing defense and good offense. I would easily put it in S.
I wasn't thinking chimps but more like hard impoppable where price was definitely a factor in their power, obviously with super monkeys you can't think chimps mode only, but I feel like I'm one of the few that said the sun temple wasn't the best lmao.. but yeah I disagreed with a lot of the poll winners, mainly ninja, spike factory, and sniper were the most eye opening
I understand that the price of the flying fortress makes him harder to use, but he literally solos so many maps, and so many modes, even with just slight buffs. By far my most favorite tower in the game. Even spectre is an amazing tower to put into any combo. I would def put him in a tier.
@@arukari9730 u litterally cannot afford it on any hard chimps map. If you can afford a FF on easy maps u can just as easy go for alch + shredder and win without much micro even. unless u want to also spectre micro (no casual player wants to do that)
B.E.Z. is a weird tower but I agree with the placement! You need to focus on it with a lot of buffs, micro, etc., but when you use him correctly, he is extremely underrated
@@Null82085 not really i mean if everything was A tier than there wouldnt be a need to use other towers to support its weak traits.AND also having a balance game is really boring cuz you can just use any tower and you dont have to think on what would be good for certain maps and position on the maps.
Bottom path mortar (Blooncineration) is one of the most underrated towers. First of all, compared to a majority of other towers, it really isn't that expensive. Second of all, the burn damage, tick damage, and initial damage all stack together to create a power house. Third, the tower is very versatile, as both crosspaths are good. The top path contributes to damage while the middle path contributes to the de-camo speed. Finally, since that it's a mortar path, it has a really high, if not infinite, pierce cap. All of theses combined could create a very powerful tower; and if you consider what SJB said about crossroads, it would get even more damage, even outclassing a ray of doom.
Blooncinerator has some great popping power if you use the 2-3-0 monkey village next to it. Set it to the start of the stage and watch the bloon pop count rack up.
When the game first came out, Comanche Commander was one of the best towers. Then NK nerfed it into the ground, and it just hasn't really recovered since
I played a lot when the game first came out and I’m getting back into it and my go to strategy was always 501 Ninja, 401 Alch, 205 Heli, and a 230 village. Still works but it doesn’t seem nearly as strong. Going to have to look into something better.
I honestly love the bottom path boat, on most water maps i use it along with 10 central markets and 20 other boats and it’s a great money making strategy, i used it it get the 3 t5 beast handlers for the first time and i got them before round 80
Best thing about them is you get money and the needed power at the same time. No need to think "oh, can i get another farm in or do I need an acutal tower for damage", just pop 20 of those bad bois in and ur good money and damage wise
Honestly the main benefit of the boat money makers is they're still a TOWER, that can ATTACK and stuff. You're making money back, slowly to be sure, but they aren't doing *nothing* in the meantime.
My favorite strat with the bottom path village is load up on some banana factories, combine those together, and throw a central market super close to it so I don't have to ever worry about money. Then, when I have enough for it, toss a top path farm next to it and just watch the big number get bigger.
Pouakai is much better than most people give it credit for. It's the cheapest of the three beast handlers (at around 70k) and by far the least situational, due to it being able to utilize the beast handler's full area. Pouakai can solo R98 on most maps with minimal beast power and it does decent damage to the BAD. The only weakness is DDTs, but even then the bird isn't completely useless against them. I'd put it in A tier, definitely not good enough to be an S, but not average enough to be B tier.
I think re polling some of the towers that are used differently in different modes would be interesting. Chimps/boss/race/freeplay (not all the towers that would be to many polls)
One thing that makes me wonder in btd6 is how the spike factory pops bloons and moab class blooms because the bloons float and the spike factory shoots spikes on the floor anyone else wondered that
I have really started to like Druids as a whole, because my normal gameplay style is just using wacky and weird towers, and I’ve found that I can pop down Superstorm in just about any game and it is really good. I would rank it S tier just because of the infinite Moab stall, and also because it is just so coool!!! Saving up for it isn’t that unreasonable, I can easily get it before round 80 with a couple 0-2-3 or 0-2-4 marketplaces. Also, 2-3-0 druid is an absolute powerhouse that allows you to save up a TON of money from not really needing any other defense than something to give him camo detection. Having a bunch (like 5) 2-4-0 druids late game can also annihilate superceramics. Also if you give Superstorm 5 poplust druids it is just insane. One thing to note is that it should be positioned on a straight line so the tornadoes can keep hitting the Bloons and the ball lightning can do more damage. Honestly a good strategy for easier maps can be to just farm, and get Superstorm, Spirit of the Forest, Avatar of Wrath, and like 4 other poplust Druids in a group to buff everyone. Overall, all 3 tier 5 Druids are great, and I hope that Ninja Kiwi does it justice with the paragon. P.s I typed this entire thing holding my tiny iPhone horizontally my thumbs will never be the same😭😭😭
There are 3 that i want to fight you against. - Super glue: i want glue to do one thing: slow everything down. And he does that amazing. Love that guy. - birb handeler: he might be a bit hard to use, but very strong imo. Can make maps into a single line, pushes back moabs, pretty decent damage. I used him for my 2mp, was pretty easy. - middle path alch: why isnt he in F? Like, who actually uses that guy?
Ngl if bloon solver is S, LOTN is definitely S especially because the buff made it better against multiple bloons and personally pretty easy to get for the late game
@@pvzpokra8602 it’s really good, the first 2 tiers suck tho, The 3rd path is alright It gets good on the 4th and 5th 4th can dominate moabs and bfbs easily And the 5th can literally perma stall several zomgs at once, as well as being able to carry things wherever you want, it has amazing synergies with several area damage towers like glaive lord and mortars
My favorite thing with bottom path beast is turning multi track maps into single lane tracks, it can take everything from the whole screen to one place, allowing things like helis and POD to shine
@@Quts_ Pouakia is really good for the rnd 100 bad which makes him insane for chimps, but I think he might of been thinking of it later on, where the BADs have to much hp for him to do anything
What i saw from these polls is that people would usually vote for more raw dps and overrated towers. Sometimes ignoring some insane support towers like special poperations, it's ok if you don't like it, but less than 10%? Same goes with glue storm, grand sabo, trade empire and the worst of all, Poākai, wich is just insane. Also some other towers that are usually better and have really good damage outputs like tsar, esniper, pmfc wich just got destroyed by other ones, even though they can stand up to them, and even sometimes outclass them. And the overrated aspect, sometimes some towers got scores just way to high, not that they are bad, but the other paths can be better: solver, glaive lord, etc. I don't mind people disliking some of these towers, the thing is how low some really strong towers or high some not that amazing towers get.
@@waterrr6332 Yes that really sucks. And it isn't just CHIMPS that gets neglected, also races, although glaive lord. People just tend to go for casual gameplay, were dps=good because it's easy.
I think people took cross paths into consideration with some of these. Like an elite defender with top crosspath is pretty strong but just bottom path alone it can fall off for sure
My opinions as a Boss and deep freeplay player: Crossbow Master: C - It's my favourite dart monkey, but it's just not cost effective when it matters. I still use it on easier maps though. Ultra Jugg: B - far too map dependent. Some maps it's A+, some it's D, averages out to B for me. PMFC: A - I dislike using him, but I can't argue with its power. Glaive Lord: C - I love the glaive lord but he's so undertuned :c Permacharge: A - Amazing cleanup power for its cost, and good build up to fifth tier. MOAB Dom: A - echoing SJB Inferno Ring: B - I really like it, but it's a little expensive for what it does imo. Super Strom: S - god tier cleanup tower Tack Zone: A - even post nerf, you just can't argue with its MOAB popping power. Bloon Crush: B - It has its uses but I rarely use it honestly. It's not bad at all. MOAB Elim: A - it's an underrated tower outside of deep freeplay when it obviously falls off. Bomb Blitz: C - it's just not cost effective, sorry. Bloon Solver: A - I feel like its power is overstated, but it's in a much better spot than it used to be. Glue Storm: S - damage buffs are defacto S tier even without the slowdown. Superglue: C - it has its uses, but like Bomb Blitz, it's not really cost effective outside of specific use cases. Super Brittle: S - same as Glue Storm. Absolute Zero: A - amazing utility. Icicle Impale: B - DDT Solver, but there are more cost effective ways to handle them. Cripple Moab: S - Damage buff. Elite Sniper: A - it's a good tower that buffs your other snipers. And that's not even considering cash generation. Elite Defender: C - My favourite sniper but repeated nerfs have really hurt it. But he has his uses especially on bosses. Energizer: A - The buffs it provides are amazing but if you aren't using it for the buffs, don't use it full stop. Pre-Emp: A - An extremely solid tower. Sub Commander: B - I'm not a big fan personally. It is worth it once you have enough subs but before then I'd rather spam middle paths. Flagship: A - Bordering on S tier. PLord: S - Instakills for extra cash, AND it's powerful on top of that as a standalone tower even post nerf. TEmpire: I'm not ranking things that are only used for cash. You either farm hard or you don't use them. Ray of Doom: A - the cost hurts it a lot, but the power it puts out for that cost is amazing. MAD: S - Bordering on A, but its specific utility in bosses and DDT deleting props it up. BEZ: C - For its cost, I just don't understand its appeal, sorry. Apache Prime: B - I never understood its appeal. It's good, but it's not THAT good. S.Pop: S - Extraordinary utility. CoMCom: B - I may be a tad biased on this one. It's probably closer to C but I just like it, sorry. Biggest One: B - amazing cleanup tower imo, but it really falls off on maps without good loops. Pop&Awe: C - great with micro but it's just not good enough on its own merits. Blooncin: C - only use for removing reinforcement, and it's not the most efficient for that. Skyshredder: A - it's a top tier tower but I hate ace micro especially after they patched it. Tsar: B - it absolutely has its uses. But I'm not a fan of races, which would put it in S tier. Flying Fortress: A - it's THE way to pop farm for the paragon. But that cost... ouch. (V)TSG: S - is there any question? I know paragons have bonus damage to bosses, true, but that only puts them on par with a buffed VTSG Anti-Bloon: A - absolute powerhouse but similar case as Flying Fortress. Its cost justifies its power. LotN: C - it's just not worth the cost, sorry. I only get it for challenges or for VTSG. 4th tier is pretty great though. Archmage: A - a little underrated imo. Just all around solid. WLP: S - this entire path is dominant. PoD: A - I like it but I feel it's a tiny bit overrated, and being able to choose where the bloons spawn is an absolute double edged sword, it's ONLY useful on single lane maps because it messes up split spawning. Superstorm: B - top tier staller, but very pricy for that. It eventually becomes necessary in freeplay, but you only ever get it for the sendback. But the sheer power of that stall puts it in B tier for me as it is THE best at doing this. Spirit of the Forest: S - one of the few basically infinite pierce towers, and it's both strong and pretty cheap. Avatar of Wrath: A - one of the premiere early boss tier poppers, but he falls off. Pbrew: S - there's obviously no question here. Though the cost is a lot, he does what he does better than most others. TTransformation: A - maybe a hot take, but this is the magic monkey version of PMFC. Very underrated. BMA: B - like Superstorm, you use it for late freeplay, or you DO NOT use it. It's a neutral B because it does what it does for a reason, and using it properly is amazing, but using it outside of that is just. Bad. Grandmaster Ninja: B - close A. Expensive support needed, but it's strong when set up, and has an easy save up with Bloonjitsu. I don't like it personally. GSabo: S - there's no question for me. Slowing bloons and taking a huge chunk off MOAB health is an easy S tier. Master Bomber: B - He has his uses, but I feel like his cost doesn't justify how quickly he falls off. Sentry Champ: B - it's ok with a relatively easy save up. Not a fan though. Ultra-Boost: S - same as PBrew. XXXL Trap: A - blimpus deletus. After the bugfix/nerf though, it's more balanced. Super Mines: C - god I wanna love this tower, but its cost is just not worth the cost imo, and it's kinda laggy too, which is the exact opposite of what you want in freeplay. Carpet of Spikes: B - it has its uses but often it's better to just spam fourth tiers.. PSpike: B - it still has its uses but it's even harder to justify over just using more fourth tiers. This seems to be a theme. PEx: A - a very solid A on the condition that your strategy is based on using a lot of primary towers. In particular, Tack Zone and Overdrives. Homeland: S - an amazing buff. A little pricy but it gets better the better all your other towers are, it's basically doubling your towers on screen lol Monkeyopolis: n/a All farms: n/a Megalodon: D - unfortunately post nerf, it's just too damn weak for its cost. Giga: C - I feel like it's too pricy for what it does. Stop is so good though. Pouakai: C - it's a worse Superstorm.
thank god someone knows how good pMFC and how bad XBM is. Poukai is very very cheap, and very very good, superstorm requires much more setup and ball lighting saveup is not good. IDk why you would think that its a worse superstorm. WLP idk why you put it in S, it is a good tower but not S tier worthy
@@darthhydreigon820 After watching ISAB's video, I do agree that Pouakai is way better than I gave it credit for. I hadn't tested it as extensively as I should've. WLP is admittedly probably a bit of bias, and taking into consideration its third and fourth tiers more than I did for some other towers.
Someday y'all are gonna give grand sabo the respect he deserves. Solidly A-tier, I understand he's not always useful but you have to give props to the only tower that can scale damage infinitely with rounds including BADS
My best tier 5 votes from the polls are as follows: *Primary* -Crossbow Master -Perma-Charge -Inferno Ring -Bomb Blitz -The Bloon Solver -Icicle Impale *Military* -Elite Sniper -Sub Commander -Pirate Lord -M.A.D. -Apache Prime -The Biggest One -Flying Fortress *Magic* -The Anti-Bloon -Prince of Darkness -Avatar of Wrath -Permabrew -Master Bomber *Support* -Sentry Paragon -Carpet of Spikes -Homeland Defense -Banana Central -Megalodon (pre-bug fix) -Pouākai (post-bug fix)
I think BMA is bad because instead of getting the money from popping all the layers in a ZOMG you only get 1 coin from the red bloon. Not only that it doesn't target BADs.His basic attack is weak and compared to the Middle path the middle path is better.
@@Stirling96 I mean technically you don't even get 1 dollar from the red Bloon.. cause of money scaling it's only like 1/16 a dollar or something like that lmao but the tower does do a ton of damage and if you're farming then you won't get much money from popping Bloons anyways relatively.. like round 139 or whatever you can make 30k per round from farms and even without bma only like 2-3k from all the bloons on the round, so bma loses you less money the further you go realistically and using him with farms you definitely aren't losing much by using him
One thing to note is the reason why Permaspike is the most popular is simply because when people think of using the Spike Factory, we don't think of it offensively, we think about using it at the end of the track to save us. Which is why Permaspike, despite the nerfs is considered the best by most people. The other two are still great, but they're great offensively, not as a last ditch choice.
Energiser is an easy s tier. Bloon popping power and loads of amazing buffs for a fairly cheap price (imo he should cost at least 50k). Also looks cool. Rod should also be s, that popping power is just extreme and he has no weaknesses, you definitely get your money's worth. And blooncineration should be higher than the biggest one, it does roughly the same damage and de-fortifies Bloons, he is a late game powerhouse
@@MahaXad yeah middle path is really good at every stage of the game, but for me energiser is a must have. It just makes everything go smoothly bc you don't have to worry about Bloons sneaking through and abilities being on cool down when you need them bc you will get most abilities at least once per round with it
ima fr with you, bomb blitz is actually an op combo with ezili because the bomb blitz ability activates when you leak a life and ezili’s sacrificial totem drains 10 lifes, however, she only leaks 1 life at level 16
sjb im almost agreeing with everything but when super brittle went in c tier my jaw almost hit the floor XD keep up the good content and would like to see more tier lists in the future!
If I strongly disagree with sth here, I'll edit the comment and say it with its reason Comanche commander: no, if you get this tower with any ddt popping power and like a sporm, this can solo chimps in most maps with so little money, which makes this tower b or a easily Pop n awe: this tower does huge damage to ceramics, and its ability makes stalling strats work as you like, and the previous upgrade makes it easy to get, so it fits b best
Bottom path beast handler is definitely the strongest of the path. It can almost solo all the way to 120 and can do it with a few middle paths. With no other support, which is pretty absurd.
In my opinion, the Megalodon is insanely underrated. The ability to swallow a B.A.D. cannot be understated, because it's taking all those greens, reds, blacks, and blues with it. And it's swallowing one every second almost. if you max it at 132/132. Overall pop count versus most tier 5's is usually higher because it's nuking 50k hp per bite.
@@portman8909 Megalodon is plenty worth it late. It'll eat BAD's and all other moabs instantly all the way until like 150+, and you can get it by the mid 70s. In what world is that not worth it lol. Obviously there's better T5's like spirit of the forest, but the megalodon is incredibly useful. The sun god on the other hand is literally more expensive than most paragons, and does a fraction of the damage. If I'm spending 500k gold on a tower, it's gonna be a Navarch because navarch can literally solo until the 190s with zero help.
@@portman8909 I literally placed a max sun god last night and it got 20,000 pops on round 165. Stop capping lol. It sucks dude. I will never buy that shit over a navarch. Ever.
beast handlers kinda make sense for their placements. it's not that they're situational supports like alchemists or mortars, it's just that they are actual DPS that require a ridiculous amount of investment in and usually only used as a commodity instead of actually depending on them especially for their prices
It's weird to see Energizer as the top vote for subs. I would say middle paths (mostly because of abilities) aren't popular but sub reduce the cooldowns of them (some damage and camo detection). So why he is so popular? And I take me into account I like him very much but abilities not that much and often I build him just with 2 abilities max + heroes.
I think that similiar thing would be amazing but with 4th tiers. It could change things drastically and they are ctually more affordable in every game even without much farming so I'd love to see that
It is so refreshing to see someone rank the BH tower fairly. So many people just praise it and make it sound great (even after nerf) when in realty, for what you spend to even get to tier 5, it is hardly worth it.
Avatar of wrath technically is the best monkey in the game and has inf potential cuz the avatar of wrath t5 upgrade makes it so the more Bloons there are the more damage it does
My Top 10 Favorites Are 10. Apache Prime 9. GrandMaster Ninja 8. Sentry Champion 7. The Tack Zone 6. Sky Shredder 5. Flying Fortress 4. Crossbow Master 3. Archmage 2. Spirit Of The Forest 1. Inferno Ring
Hol up now... that bottom path alchemist should be S tier. In my recent playthrough, it got 320M pops. It got the most pops out of all my paragons, second to my monkey buc paragon.
spirit of the forest is hands down the best tower in the game based on how much it does for the price, the vines literally have infinite pierce you can send 999 ceramics in a single point and they will still pop almost instantly, there isnt any other tower that comes close to this except ray of doom which is pretty much 2 times more expensive also not to mention the fact that it makes the cash back for you after the end of every round, im glad people actually really like this tower as much as I do!
Great video, I've been a pretty big btd player throughout my life but only recently started playing btd 6. This video was not only entertaining but also very informative
As a boomerang Lover I can say that I think it would differ. Glaive is good at shredding anythings health. The permacharge is just op. It dominates the other competition. Finally the MOAB domination. It can be really good for starting rounds when you need that extra oomf but in late game it kinda gets thrown into the dust a little. This is all my opinion and if you have a different thought, cool. You do you
Plasma Monkey Fan Club -45,000 dollars -only affects Dart Monkeys -only affects MIDDLE PATH dart monkeys -throws darts in downtime Total Transformation -45,000 dollars -affects almost every monkey below tier 5 -uses Unstable Concoction in downtime the winner is clear
This dude is actually insane for putting bloon master alchemist in D. It consistently has more pops than a lot of paragons if you put him near the beginning and target strong then he will mostly likely be the best tower in your game
I don't know how everyone else voted but, when i was voting i voted for what tower was my favorite, not what tower i thought was the best. It might put some of the votes that SJB thought were trolls into context.
I conciderated damage reliability, game modes it is good at, price efficiency, support capabilities, farming option, damage style (moab ceram, single target, multi target, etc.) I took this really seriously :|
@@waterrr6332 I would have considered the whole path, just that the polls said tier 5, and the issue with just CHIMPS is that expensive and farming towers are useless, so I also kept in mind Bosses, Races and Lategame. But it's ok
Glue storm has been my most changed opinion of a tower in this game. The only one that comes close is monkeyopolis Used to consider it the worst tower in the game. Without the extra damage on glued Bloons ability, the glue storm ability is awful and completely unnecessary. The middle path already has super fast attack speed, this is a waste of cash most of the time. But with that extra damage utility, I love using glue storm. I use it everywhere; bosses, CHIMPs, maybe even races on occasion. A super useful support especially for how cheap it is. Also has glue rat so auto SS tier
I think super maelstrom would be far more useable and fun to use if he cost maybe 5k more but could auto use his ability like a carpet of spikes every 15 seconds but then be able to use his mega one for a longer period than normal. Basically a cheaper carpet of spikes specializing in bloon popping vs moabs!
my thoughts: >after going for freeplay round record, i noticed that perma charge actually did much better than moab dominator, it rly doesn't do much damage compared to perma charge. apparently making a 052 makes the perma charge gain a TON of damage, so it might be objectively the best boomerang, so i'd switch perma charge to A and moab dom to B >tbh overdrive just never felt to me like the best tack, and its price justifies it not being the best, however i can understand them nerfing it because of how effective it still is. for many times i placed both it and inferno right together, having both as buffed as i could, and it did worse than inferno ring, BUT for it's price tag? i can definitely say it's much more cost effective in money than inferno ring (and i love inferno ring, but i admit that because of its cost it's less effective). i'd say it still deserves to be on A rank, just because of how effective it still is (at least under brew + 4xx/5xx village) >ngl i personally *hate* moab assassin, its skill is just not worth it at all. pretty sure a 205 does better against moabs than a x5x, especially when there are many moabs. every single time i've placed a moab assassin i regreted deeply. a 230 is still good because it's a good amount of constant anti moab damage for its price, but anything beyond that is just not worth it for me >tbh i can see y barely anyone uses middle path glue, i only got to know that it makes bloons take more damage by checking on the wiki, if i didn't randomly check it i'd never know. also bottom path 5th tier might not be all that good, but my dude a ton of xx4 at the beginning of the map can do some CRAZY stalling, i did that to get the 1kk pop on alch achievement and they did amazingly well (but u do need to have some backup behind, i did get a ddt leak at some point, having a main moab saved my arse) >icicle impale was my first favorite choice of stall in the game, it's a great mix between 5xx glue with xx5 glue, it was my first reliable choice against mass of fast bloons and even tho i use other options nowadays, it'll always have a special place in my heart >i rly don't like any of the tier 5 snipers, tbh the only snipers useful imo are 402 and 420 (in case of no external camo), so meh, i'd probably move all of them down 1 rank >i do think xx5 sub should be a B, it's rly not that big of a deal, and it's hard to judge how much of a difference it does since sub spam by itself is pretty strong (then again, it also buffs the x5x, making it an even better sub) *>HERESY!* 025 boat is AMAZING, ever since i started going for boat farm instead of banana farm i've been having the greatest time and this guys seriously does a lot, it literally feeds u money to get any tier 5 u want, and no it's not all that much situational, it's worth on any hard mode that doesn't limit money making (and debatably even some normal modes), the only thing that limits it is amount of water. i'd place it on rank A at the very least. SJB might think different, but it's rly hard to compare a money making tower to damage ones, so let's think for a moment: trade empire might rely on a lot of xx3 boats, but it's a great money making tower that *ALSO* packs a punch because of the massive amount of boats u're placing. it might not seem much, but 013 boats are actually able to do massive amounts of damage, so going for a trade empire does increase ur defenses by a good amount, and when u finally get it u have a solid defense + a massive money farm, which u now can use to buy all of the strongest towers u want, and not only that, the trade empire also buffs the damage of all ur xx3 and xx4 boats. >I rly don't get y people don't like the bottom path dartling, it's pretty solid, u can make it auto target and it's the one that benefits the most from buffs, it's an amazing no brainer tower to have. it rly deserves more love >i think Comanche Commander deserves a spot on C, because it still packs a punch, + i think it'll actually do pretty well at stalling if placed on a specific spot. it just gets way too overshadowed by Apache Prime. Also for people that don't know: the special poperations can use door gunner on the engineer paragon's big sentries, i think it might be the best thing to use door gunner on if u ever manage to get both on the same run >Megalodon can just be straight up put to F lol, literally gone extinct twice. Giganotosaurus can EASILY be an A if maxed, whenever u upgrade the middle path they lose atk sped which makes them look worse than before, but u can get it back by maxing them out again, and this is especially a problem for t-rex, but the giganotosaurus's munch hitbox is so big it can be rly hard for it to miss bloons depending on where u place it, and it has a massive hitbox compared to t-rex. also here's something people constantly forget abt beast handlers: top and middle path can be MICROED! if u place ur handlers well enough u can pretty much have GLOBAL RANGE for the giganotosaurus, which imo could even place it on S, also let's not forget that it can be buffed by both villages, ultraboost and temples, so having all of that + global range does seem worth of a S rank (and A if not microed) >i think blooncineration deserves to be on D, the only thing it's good at is being a support, but the tier 4 already mostly does what it does, all u get from tier 5 is DDT defortify, and well good luck hitting DDTs with it, u'd need to slow it down to hit it, but if u're at a point where u can stop DDTs, defortifying it is not all that necessary. >i think flying fortress deserves S, it's just so absurdly strong, and i think it's the 2nd strongest tier 5 when it comes to dps >legend of the night deserves and easy S, it's the number 1 tower when it comes to dps, it literally does more damage than a fully upgraded sun god and has the strongest passive of the game. yes it's very expensive and u'll only manage to get it in freeplay, but it's still a massive powerhouse >prince of darkness is one of the worst towers in the game, change my mind. i've tested it so many times but it just does horrible damage, literally anything it can do the archmage can do better. it DOES NOT DESERVE S RANK AT FRICKING ALL, and i think even nerfed megalodon does better than this thing. it has never been useful for me, and i did test it many times, archmage always did a much better job than it. i honestly can't understand y people like this trash so much >druids choices was finally something i agree 100%, spirit of the jungle is the #1 tower at poping bloons, if u manage to place it, all u'll ever need to worry abt will be moab class. >couldn't expect anything different from the alch, permabrew good, other paths straight up forgetable. >i rly don't like master bomber, his damage isn't the best thing there is, and if i wanted to stun moabs i'd just get a maim moab, so not worth the price + overshadowed by another tower's tier 4, i'd put it together with the other ones. (tbh i rly don't like any of the ninjas, simply because they're overshadowed by everything else, the only thing they can do that no other tower can is the saboteur's skill (-25% hp for moabs entering the level), which doesn't seem worth the money unless u go in freeplay) >i think people didn't vote much on middle path factory because they didn't try it, it's pretty solid even without using its ability, and from what i've tested (well, tested at 10% cd) it's the 2nd strongest spammable skill, only losing to tsar bomba (at least for multiple bloons, when testing at 10% cd it managed to kill the round 100 BAD but tsar didn't) >i think homeland defense deserves being at S, it literally makes EVERYTHING u've placed be worth twice as much, INCLUDING BANANA FARMS. >i agree with the farms placement tbh, i recently found out that bottom path is indeed better than top path, even tho it technically should be the opposite
I agree with everything here except for the prince of darkness. The pod is used for moab cleanup and super ceramics, and you have to have bloons popped in its range for it to do alot of dmg, as at max graveyard it does 30 dmg a hit. Any big moab popping synergizes with it well, hope you can find a use for it. Also what are your thoughts on BMA as I think it's a B teir, very very good popping power and Iove the erasure of zomgs
@@acid9033 well i've had pod constantly maxed out and still doing worse than archmages, this upgrade just hates me for some reason BMA is kind of a meme, it's too inconsistent to be reliable and loses u money, i'd simply do better spending my money on a maim moab and then getting more dps towers tho now that i think abt it, BMA could have some use in freeplay
If you spread out the handlers it causes the birds effective range to be mapwide when merging Pouakai has the best potential stalling power of any tower rn
44:05 all bananas should be in B because B stands for Banana obviously jokes aside, the x-x-5 picking up bananas like a banana farmer is amazing utility, and 5-x-x has huge income, the bank ability is cool but its a lot of micro with money collection unless you go for a 0-5-2
Honestly the sniper Monkey is among my favorite monkeys all around in the game, useful anytime, anywhere. I can only imagine a paragon version of this tower. God absolutely broken, entire map crippling Moab's in Elite speed while earning cash. What I really like about BEZ is he does not require macroing. The weakest by far, but no macroing. Really disappointing to see him with 8% of votes, but honestly not surprising either MAD and ROD are just the GOATS. Dartling Gunners have always been good since their debut. Honestly the problem with a lot of the helicopter paths is they take up so much space, for a tower that is by far worse than the dartling gunner and extremely expensive. I think Beast Handlers are a bit too new for the votes to be accurate. I do think a lot of these categories people just did not think about money. That was just it. Like obviously the most expensive is the most powerful majority of the time, but money is a huge factor on whether it is the best or not. Since managing your finances is a core aspect of this game. Money is important. You literally cannot ignore that outside of freeplay.

Yeah, PMFC is undebatably the best Dart Monkey for high level people for instance
that's the nice way of putting it. how I would put it is: most people are awful at the game and refuse to improve in the name of laziness, you included. realistically, if they did try abilities, they'd find good timing isn't that hard to do on most of them and that they produce extremely good results.

Agreed

Bottom path Beast Handler is incredibly underrated. A decent Pouakai makes round 98 childs play. It struggles a bit with DDTs but if you pair it with a top path wizard or something it’s crazy.
Thats because its bugged still. Its going to get fixed.
@@prosnorkulous4831 no it’s fundamentally unbalanced in terms of support. I get the deleting 3/4 of the balloons makes him a good damage tower, but even removing that he will still be able to instantly move Bloons at the end of the track to the front as long as the track overlaps
The Pouakai is basically a Superstorm with infinite range and it doesn't make a round take 9 years to finish

Right! In a ideal game every tower should be A tier
@@Null82085 not really i mean if everything was A tier than there wouldnt be a need to use other towers to support its weak traits.AND also having a balance game is really boring cuz you can just use any tower and you dont have to think on what would be good for certain maps and position on the maps.
@adr6518 that's if everything was S tier

You can get vtsg before round 80 with that except upgrade one of them to banana Wall Street and place a banana central beside it
@@quantumAI-rg6rq yea I think I did that before
Best thing about them is you get money and the needed power at the same time.
@@steeledminer616 true but they also get a huge boost from the bottom path banana farm

Yea. They never care about Chimps Mode, support towers or even affordable towers they have this, "If this tower does more dps, it's better mentality"
@@waterrr6332 Yes that really sucks.
And it isn't just CHIMPS that gets neglected, also races, although glaive lord. People just tend to go for casual gameplay, were dps=good because it's easy.

I usually try to make up for its weaknesses with a bunch of support towers. Usually does fine.
My opinions as a Boss and deep freeplay player:
Crossbow Master: C - It's my favourite dart monkey, but it's just not cost effective when it matters. I still use it on easier maps though.
Ultra Jugg: B - far too map dependent. Some maps it's A+, some it's D, averages out to B for me.
PMFC: A - I dislike using him, but I can't argue with its power.
Glaive Lord: C - I love the glaive lord but he's so undertuned :c
Permacharge: A - Amazing cleanup power for its cost, and good build up to fifth tier.
MOAB Dom: A - echoing SJB
Inferno Ring: B - I really like it, but it's a little expensive for what it does imo.
Super Strom: S - god tier cleanup tower
Tack Zone: A - even post nerf, you just can't argue with its MOAB popping power.
I know paragons have bonus damage to bosses, true, but that only puts them on par with a buffed VTSG
Anti-Bloon: A - absolute powerhouse but similar case as Flying Fortress.
A little pricy but it gets better the better all your other towers are, it's basically doubling your towers on screen lol
Monkeyopolis: n/a
All farms: n/a
Megalodon: D - unfortunately post nerf, it's just too damn weak for its cost.

Bma makes the most pops late-late-game he`s just good man
Literally paragon level pops.
That's the only thing that makes it good, everything else is bad

@@wholelottawhale4103 yes elite sniper is goat. He got nerfed but is still great for chimps

Energiser slight below Preemptive strike for me. Late game is all about MOAB class damage, so middle path is easy choice there.
@@MahaXad yeah middle path is really good at every stage of the game, but for me energiser is a must have. It just makes everything go smoothly bc you don't have to worry about Bloons sneaking through and abilities being on cool down when you need them bc you will get most abilities at least once per round with it
Bloon master alchemist is one of my favorites for high round games. Throw him at the front on strong and watch him destroy pretty much everything
It hurts to see Archmage being swapped with the crossbow master, especially since it is the only one like that
ima fr with you, bomb blitz is actually an op combo with ezili because the bomb blitz ability activates when you leak a life and ezili’s sacrificial totem drains 10 lifes, however, she only leaks 1 life at level 16

Prince of Darkness has been a must for Chimps. It’s insane.
sjb im almost agreeing with everything but when super brittle went in c tier my jaw almost hit the floor XD keep up the good content and would like to see more tier lists in the future!
Im almost agreeing with nothing
Bloonincineration is definitely the best mortar. Very good endgame being able to get a ton of pops
I remember answering these pols and saying the worst tower for fun no clue it would turn into something
If I strongly disagree with sth here, I'll edit the comment and say it with its reason
Comanche commander: no, if you get this tower with any ddt popping power and like a sporm, this can solo chimps in most maps with so little money, which makes this tower b or a easily
Pop n awe: this tower does huge damage to ceramics, and its ability makes stalling strats work as you like, and the previous upgrade makes it easy to get, so it fits b best
i dont know whats more depressing, what people voted for or what sjb thought
the community votes were pretty wacky
is there anything more depressing than perma-charge in second to bottom tier?

Bro put the TRUE SUN GOD on the same teir as the chinook💀💀💀💀💀
Bottom path beast handler is definitely the strongest of the path. It can almost solo all the way to 120 and can do it with a few middle paths. With no other support, which is pretty absurd.
In my opinion, the Megalodon is insanely underrated. The ability to swallow a B.A.D. cannot be understated, because it's taking all those greens, reds, blacks, and blues with it.
And it's swallowing one every second almost. if you max it at 132/132. Overall pop count versus most tier 5's is usually higher because it's nuking 50k hp per bite.
@@SRTBOATNot worth it at that late you should have sun god.
@@SRTBOAT No it can’t. Paragons require a lot of pops and sacrifices to be even close to a maxed sun god.
The reason top path sub is most popular because they like the ability cooldowns and they use it for ultra boost
After the buff on legend of the night letting it bounce like Quincy makes it the best tier 5 super monkey probably.
I think that similiar thing would be amazing but with 4th tiers. It could change things drastically and they are ctually more affordable in every game even without much farming so I'd love to see that
Flying fotress and archmage definitly S Tier
this community is wack, but regardless an entertaining video!
this is what i like about btd. there's really no wrong answer in how to build your defense. unless its megalodon
It is so refreshing to see someone rank the BH tower fairly. So many people just praise it and make it sound great (even after nerf) when in realty, for what you spend to even get to tier 5, it is hardly worth it.
let's get some love for the carpet of spikes
Avatar of wrath technically is the best monkey in the game and has inf potential cuz the avatar of wrath t5 upgrade makes it so the more Bloons there are the more damage it does
I think this takes the cake as one of the dumbest youtube comments I've ever seen

Hol up now... that bottom path alchemist should be S tier. In my recent playthrough, it got 320M pops. It got the most pops out of all my paragons, second to my monkey buc paragon.
Yup
spirit of the forest is hands down the best tower in the game based on how much it does for the price, the vines literally have infinite pierce you can send 999 ceramics in a single point and they will still pop almost instantly, there isnt any other tower that comes close to this except ray of doom which is pretty much 2 times more expensive
also not to mention the fact that it makes the cash back for you after the end of every round, im glad people actually really like this tower as much as I do!
You do you
The best strategy is spamming summon phenixes.
Top Path Banana Farm should be S Tier. Its a staple of ALL Boss events and completing a boss would be way more difficult if it weren't there
Been waitin for this one
A cool trick with the best handlers is when you have the 5 tier you can sell 3 of the 4 best handlers and have 1 best handler controll the 5 tier
its very stupid to do, as you lose beast power

This dude is actually insane for putting bloon master alchemist in D. It consistently has more pops than a lot of paragons if you put him near the beginning and target strong then he will mostly likely be the best tower in your game
I don't know how everyone else voted but, when i was voting i voted for what tower was my favorite, not what tower i thought was the best. It might put some of the votes that SJB thought were trolls into context.
I conciderated damage reliability, game modes it is good at, price efficiency, support capabilities, farming option, damage style (moab ceram, single target, multi target, etc.)
I took this really seriously :|
@@genio2509I based mine purely through Chimps Mode and considered the entire path, not just the tier5
The only one that comes close is monkeyopolis
Used to consider it the worst tower in the game.

I just want to say that I think you're a great UA-camr. I love what you do and the funny way you do it, keep up the good work!
I think one of the reasons why people don’t like elite sniper because they only think of him as money making but as a tower itself it’s really good
I think super maelstrom would be far more useable and fun to use if he cost maybe 5k more but could auto use his ability like a carpet of spikes every 15 seconds but then be able to use his mega one for a longer period than normal. Basically a cheaper carpet of spikes specializing in bloon popping vs moabs!
my thoughts:
>after going for freeplay round record, i noticed that perma charge actually did much better than moab dominator, it rly doesn't do much damage compared to perma charge. apparently making a 052 makes the perma charge gain a TON of damage, so it might be objectively the best boomerang, so i'd switch perma charge to A and moab dom to B
>tbh overdrive just never felt to me like the best tack, and its price justifies it not being the best, however i can understand them nerfing it because of how effective it still is. for many times i placed both it and inferno right together, having both as buffed as i could, and it did worse than inferno ring, BUT for it's price tag? i can definitely say it's much more cost effective in money than inferno ring (and i love inferno ring, but i admit that because of its cost it's less effective). i'd say it still deserves to be on A rank, just because of how effective it still is (at least under brew + 4xx/5xx village)
>ngl i personally *hate* moab assassin, its skill is just not worth it at all. pretty sure a 205 does better against moabs than a x5x, especially when there are many moabs. every single time i've placed a moab assassin i regreted deeply. a 230 is still good because it's a good amount of constant anti moab damage for its price, but anything beyond that is just not worth it for me
>tbh i can see y barely anyone uses middle path glue, i only got to know that it makes bloons take more damage by checking on the wiki, if i didn't randomly check it i'd never know. also bottom path 5th tier might not be all that good, but my dude a ton of xx4 at the beginning of the map can do some CRAZY stalling, i did that to get the 1kk pop on alch achievement and they did amazingly well (but u do need to have some backup behind, i did get a ddt leak at some point, having a main moab saved my arse)
>icicle impale was my first favorite choice of stall in the game, it's a great mix between 5xx glue with xx5 glue, it was my first reliable choice against mass of fast bloons and even tho i use other options nowadays, it'll always have a special place in my heart
>i rly don't like any of the tier 5 snipers, tbh the only snipers useful imo are 402 and 420 (in case of no external camo), so meh, i'd probably move all of them down 1 rank
>i do think xx5 sub should be a B, it's rly not that big of a deal, and it's hard to judge how much of a difference it does since sub spam by itself is pretty strong (then again, it also buffs the x5x, making it an even better sub)
*>HERESY!* 025 boat is AMAZING, ever since i started going for boat farm instead of banana farm i've been having the greatest time and this guys seriously does a lot, it literally feeds u money to get any tier 5 u want, and no it's not all that much situational, it's worth on any hard mode that doesn't limit money making (and debatably even some normal modes), the only thing that limits it is amount of water. i'd place it on rank A at the very least.
>I rly don't get y people don't like the bottom path dartling, it's pretty solid, u can make it auto target and it's the one that benefits the most from buffs, it's an amazing no brainer tower to have. it rly deserves more love
>i think Comanche Commander deserves a spot on C, because it still packs a punch, + i think it'll actually do pretty well at stalling if placed on a specific spot. it just gets way too overshadowed by Apache Prime. Also for people that don't know: the special poperations can use door gunner on the engineer paragon's big sentries, i think it might be the best thing to use door gunner on if u ever manage to get both on the same run
>Megalodon can just be straight up put to F lol, literally gone extinct twice. Giganotosaurus can EASILY be an A if maxed, whenever u upgrade the middle path they lose atk sped which makes them look worse than before, but u can get it back by maxing them out again, and this is especially a problem for t-rex, but the giganotosaurus's munch hitbox is so big it can be rly hard for it to miss bloons depending on where u place it, and it has a massive hitbox compared to t-rex. also here's something people constantly forget abt beast handlers: top and middle path can be MICROED! if u place ur handlers well enough u can pretty much have GLOBAL RANGE for the giganotosaurus, which imo could even place it on S, also let's not forget that it can be buffed by both villages, ultraboost and temples, so having all of that + global range does seem worth of a S rank (and A if not microed)
>i think blooncineration deserves to be on D, the only thing it's good at is being a support, but the tier 4 already mostly does what it does, all u get from tier 5 is DDT defortify, and well good luck hitting DDTs with it, u'd need to slow it down to hit it, but if u're at a point where u can stop DDTs, defortifying it is not all that necessary.
>i think flying fortress deserves S, it's just so absurdly strong, and i think it's the 2nd strongest tier 5 when it comes to dps
>legend of the night deserves and easy S, it's the number 1 tower when it comes to dps, it literally does more damage than a fully upgraded sun god and has the strongest passive of the game. yes it's very expensive and u'll only manage to get it in freeplay, but it's still a massive powerhouse
>prince of darkness is one of the worst towers in the game, change my mind. i've tested it so many times but it just does horrible damage, literally anything it can do the archmage can do better. it DOES NOT DESERVE S RANK AT FRICKING ALL, and i think even nerfed megalodon does better than this thing. it has never been useful for me, and i did test it many times, archmage always did a much better job than it. i honestly can't understand y people like this trash so much
>druids choices was finally something i agree 100%, spirit of the jungle is the #1 tower at poping bloons, if u manage to place it, all u'll ever need to worry abt will be moab class.
>couldn't expect anything different from the alch, permabrew good, other paths straight up forgetable.
>i rly don't like master bomber, his damage isn't the best thing there is, and if i wanted to stun moabs i'd just get a maim moab, so not worth the price + overshadowed by another tower's tier 4, i'd put it together with the other ones. (tbh i rly don't like any of the ninjas, simply because they're overshadowed by everything else, the only thing they can do that no other tower can is the saboteur's skill (-25% hp for moabs entering the level), which doesn't seem worth the money unless u go in freeplay)
>i think people didn't vote much on middle path factory because they didn't try it, it's pretty solid even without using its ability, and from what i've tested (well, tested at 10% cd) it's the 2nd strongest spammable skill, only losing to tsar bomba (at least for multiple bloons, when testing at 10% cd it managed to kill the round 100 BAD but tsar didn't)
>i think homeland defense deserves being at S, it literally makes EVERYTHING u've placed be worth twice as much, INCLUDING BANANA FARMS.
>i agree with the farms placement tbh, i recently found out that bottom path is indeed better than top path, even tho it technically should be the opposite
Also what are your thoughts on BMA as I think it's a B teir, very very good popping power and
Iove the erasure of zomgs
@@acid9033 well i've had pod constantly maxed out and still doing worse than archmages, this upgrade just hates me for some reason
BMA is kind of a meme, it's too inconsistent to be reliable and loses u money, i'd simply do better spending my money on a maim moab and then getting more dps towers
tho now that i think abt it, BMA could have some use in freeplay
If you spread out the handlers it causes the birds effective range to be mapwide when merging
Pouakai has the best potential stalling power of any tower rn
Nice to see spirit of the forest in S even after the nerf
44:05 all bananas should be in B because B stands for Banana obviously
jokes aside, the x-x-5 picking up bananas like a banana farmer is amazing utility, and 5-x-x has huge income, the bank ability is cool but its a lot of micro with money collection unless you go for a 0-5-2
Honestly the sniper Monkey is among my favorite monkeys all around in the game, useful anytime, anywhere.
I treat btd6 almost like an idle game running in the background while i do other things so i just dont use towers that lean on abilities
