I’ve been watching you for years and one of the things I like is the variety. Some smaller boats some monster yachts. That said, I don’t think I have ever seen a nicer more sensible boat than this one. When you factor in what good taste these people have and how well they did this refurbish all things considered this is probably the nicest boat I have ever seen, dollar for dollar, on your channel.
If you did t have the before pictures, you’d not know it’d been upgraded. Nothing seems out of place. Well done Setag Yachts. Thanks for the tour Nick.
This must be the best interior update I've seen so far by far, really very well done, it looks like a brand new modern boat, well chosen materials and combinations.
I literally had to double check as there were so many comments about how smooth it was and I started to doubt my own eyes. But it is NOT 50fps, it's 25 like before.
@@petterip Yeah, looks like it was recorded with 50fps, and UA-cam then converted it to 25 during rendering. I have seen some channels do actual 50/60fps, so it's probably a setting somewhere in the UA-cam control panel to enable it.
before his tours looked like a cinematic video and this one looks like I am standing next to Nick looking over his shoulder as we walk around the boat. ha
Every Setag job that's been showcased on this channel has been very impressive. Their design team must be top-notch, and know how to think a bit out of the box and work with various budgets. It's not all glitz and glamour or the newest thing necessarily, but they certainly seem to understand how to meld different elements together for a seamless aesthetic, well done to them! And your V-berth skit had me in stitches Nick - I think most of us have definitely been there! And there's nothing wrong with either layout, as long as both can sleep soundly at night ;-)
Nick, again. You by a 12 year old boat and you can get a great boat for a lot less money if you are willing to own an older boat. For only £550,000 you can own yourself a 48 foot 2 cabin, 2 heads sports cruiser with IBS Pods. It is a beautiful set of kit that has upgraded electronics since she was launched, her facelift is immaculate and makes her look modern and classy. She has a solid sliding roof and a tender garage. A 2024 update of the electronics and a flir camera, a complete engine overhaul and seal replacement and a Seakeeper and you basically have brand new boat for £750,000 or less. Oh, and another, bigger fridge and ice maker. My friends drink beer. Lots of beer.
This has been changed from black to white... that's *very* nice. And this has been changed from white to black... that's *very* nice. And this was changed from white to silver. *Nice, nice, nice*
Now that’s a decent refresh!!! Would never guess it wasn’t new! 50fps! Is better!! Last few vids have felt a little “less smooth” and was “doing my eyes in” 😂
50 FPS is the way to go. The original stills inserted where appropriate really help to underscore the "modernazation". Nice touch, Nick. Thanks to all involved for the planning, doing and sharing.
Been a while since we saw a sunseeker on the channel! I love seeing boats get a face-lift. Realistically I'd never be able to buy 90 percent of these factory new but I love the idea of an older boat getting a refit. Seems like a great way to get a lot of boat for a much better price.
SETAG are awesome with their upgrades, they just blend in with all of the original finishes. This boat looks beautiful through out inside and out. Your new frame rate looks awesome Nick and there was no strobing or flickering from the lights either. Great tour Nick many thanks.
Such a nice well built boat from the get go. A real treat to see the before and after pics demonstrating what a fantastic job SETAG does. Well worth the money updating this gem of a boat. Thanks Nick for editing in those before pics. Yes the 50 frames per second are smoother.
Nick, great job with making this video for us. Yes finally someone other than just us smart guys, smart people who know about frequency and you adjusting your camera to a higher refresh rate to 50 where most people just record using 25 rate and have flickering on videos. Just like the inverters boats need to change 50 hz to 60 hz like our power is here in the USA. It makes a huge difference. Most people don't understand that its just the frequency of the wave of sound waves going through our power lines that give us electricity once that sound waves goes through a transformer and gets turned into power we can use. For this awesome boat, one word to describe it is, Wow. The owners are great at seeing wh6it could be in the future and have a excellent eye for decorating. Makes me think either him or her are into decorating full time. I loved the boat and would enjoy spending time on it. Thank you Nick for sharing this amazing beautiful boat with us today. You get another thumbs up from Missouri in the USA.
What a lovely update, not overboard and not too little its just perfect. ive got to say the helm seats looked great they certainly know how to do upholstery. The owners must be over the moon with it, thank you for sharing with us Nick
Just goes to show, if you choose the right boat and have it refitted, you can have a modern looking boat at a lower cost vs brand new. Seatag have made this one look super fresh and classy, wouldn’t know it was 12 years old. Thanks for the close up of the fabrics and textures - all good ideas for when my boat gets the refit treatment. Btw 50fps looking very pro, Mr. Burnham.
You know, there are some channels, a select few that are just excellent in their content, expertise and delivery. I know nothing about boats when the year started. Found this channel 2 months ago and I will begin sailing in the new year. You're knowledge and passion is unrivalled! Great job, great channel.
Seats really are the masters at this, painting the kitchen cupboards but leaving a bit of the wood surround made such a difference to the galley made in brand new 👏👏
Great tour, as ever, Nick, both you and SETAG never fail to deliver. This is a superb, sympathetic, tasteful and stylish upgrade . The boat seems more modern, lighter and brighter. The owners must be over the moon with the job that SETAG has done for them. Those guys, male and female, really know what they are doing. Five stars for you both. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Very impressive upgrades that actually made a substantial difference. It’s good for another 15 years of enjoyment. Thank you for the tour Nick The video was quite clean.
Wonderful job Nick! Thank you for showing us a side of boat ownership beyond the usual "new boat" perspective. SETAG did an amazing job, and we'd love to see more refits. Also really enjoyed the domestic spat in the VIP cabin. Such drama!
Setag know how to manage lighting and seamlessly fuses indirect artificial light sources with light finishes that distribute natural light! The space they create is relaxing and refreshing! Well done! The 50 FPS appears clearer, eliminates flicker, and seems, at least, to enhance contrast in low light areas....Good choice, Nick!!!
Loved that little story in the cabin😅 reminds me of her indoors!.. Just the right level of renewal/update in my opinion. New colour blending made the interior much better. Thanks Nick 👍
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but Mr Burnham sir I do love an Aquaholic episode showing the wonderful work of Setag especially with the before pictures, Nick I love the subtle changes as you said just enough to modernize the overall look,if you didn't know it would be hard to guess it was a 12yr old boat ,love the upgrades great work by Setag and choices by the lucky owners, top find as ever Nick all the best from Cornwall 🤗✌️👍
Very very pretty interior touches. So tasty and I'm sure it'll age very nicely. 50fps is great - no flickering of lights inside and smoothness is quite noticeable. Cheers.
Fantastic job done there by Setag, the original Sunseeker design was already stylish but looks much brighter inside the galley and at the helm. Like how they’ve kept some original features, it really would make you question whether you need to buy a brand new boat, unless of course you don’t need to ask the price.
Very tasteful and very "joined up"! An excellent job and as always an excellent video. Anybody else have the Stingray theme music going through their minds as the tender garage was opened? Nope? Just me, then.
Very tastefully done. Just bringing it up-to-date, not turning it into something it shouldn't be. Well done. For me, personally, step 1 after buying a used boat (or a house or an RV or whatever): replace the toilet(s)...
Well Nick setag have done a fantastic job on this boat they Sunseeker just seem like a timeless boat it’s sleek and very easy on the eye and this has just proved that with an older boat just look what you can do when it’s professionally done like Setag has done, you can’t beat British craftsman ship, lovely simply lovely. Also yes the video is way better, not that i know what I’m on about 😂🤣😂 Anyway thanks again 👍👍👍
Hi Nick, And welldone Setag what a great job they did this time refurbish this Sunseeker Portofino 48 love the change on the opening part of the roof Maggie almost disappears in the new fabric great, but also the salon that upgrade makes it very cozy down there Thank you Nick its a great show ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Firstly, bravo for the scissor bed skit! 😂 Brilliant tour of a fantastic Sunseeker. I think that’s my favourite Sunseeker out there when you factor in value for money. Superb! Brig or Grand RIB, either way, plenty of fun!

I believe any motor boat between 40ft and 60 ft are the perfect size… absolutely love these Sunseeker, and the princess, Fairline models excellent. Nick I’m hoping to see you upgrade sooner than later to something like this for yourself. You absolutely deserve it thank you for your excellent videos
Hi Nick. I used to film at 60fps. I know you don’t get motion blur, but for these sort of videos, it is a lot smoother. I also believe it helps with flicker from TVs and the new LED lighting systems they have in these beautiful boats. Especially if you are filming in 4K.
If that's the budget refit on a 12 year old boat, it's nothing short of fantastic. Maybe the original canvas and its design had something to do with it but the changes they made just to the cosmetic appearance of the boat hit everything out of the park. The boat looks like it was built in the 2020s and not 10 years earlier. This company is top notch...just like Aquaholic!
Mills & boon romance ❤ in the guest room with trials & tribulations 😢 explained via ‘SCISSOR BEDS’ !!!!!😂 Absolutely hilarious😂😂😂 quality again from stag,,, fantastic job Nick👍
The new frame rate is wonderful - keep it!. This is one of my favorite types of boats to look at, if I really stretch I might be able to afford one. Getting an older boat is the way to go. Does SeaTag work in the US?
Stunning looking boat anyway but I think it looks a great boat for just kicking back and relaxing on... The upgrades are stylish and sensitive too .A carbon fibre ensign staff with a cool finial post would looks the dogs conkers on Smugglers Nick????? 50 frames per second seems to stop the lights flickering too. It`s a yes from me Nick. 50 frames per second might eat into your storage and your battery... But I think we`re worth it... Don`t you?
Setag pulls off yet another subtle yet beautiful upgrade/freshening up . I think personally the only thing I would add would be to remove the carbon fibre wrap and spray those areas with the same silver as the deck cabinets .Otherwise a bonny wee boat thanks again Nick for showing her to us as always love your work keep it up that man .
I'm glad you didn't edit out the bed banter 😂. Your humility and sence of humor make your videos enjoyable.
Thank you! 🙂
