Those guys at Setag did a spectacular job at restoring this vessel. Thanks to the owner for sharing and thank you Nick for the great tour! 🍷
Our pleasure!
So nice to see a yacht that has stayed in the family and being used as _part of the family_ rather than getting flogged off every 4 years.
Totally agree.
In Brazil boats goes with family until divorce or death. It.s funny, most of them are not used but kept
Bet the father is overjoyed to see the new life in this boat
I love when you can bring old boats back to life. Beautiful nice job, Nick.
Thank you!
This boat is well loved and the restoration shows it. Very impressive retrofit of engines and utilities. The interior upgrades are quite tasteful and practical as well.
Do appreciate the before and after pictures.
Great tour Nick
Thank you very much!
Love a good renovation story these days”before” and “after” ones are great….nice plug for the sponsor 👍👍
Setag does amazing work. I would like to see more of their projects.
There are several on the channel now, if you search 'AQUAHOLIC Setag'. 🙂
I'm hoping ST get round to offering Nick a publicity freebie. Not that SB2 really needs it...
It appears that the owner wanted to pay ohmage to his family by making the boat new and even better! Kudos!
That is a great renovation job, it looks like its just come from the factory. Really nice through out and looks very sporty. Great tour Nick thank you.
Glad you like it!
SETAG Yachts is on the next level, this kind of refitting was once saved for mega yacht only. Nice for planet to, reuse is much more eco friendly than recycle
Exactly so! Buying a boat and just keeping it forever is probably about the greenest way you can go boating. 🙂
Setag always deliver the goods. A proper company with strong leadership and a sense of purpose and direction that transcends the concept of 'line management' and is genuinely shared across the business; from the apprentices to the CEO.
Great refit good to keep an older boat bang up to date.
Great tour, as ever, Nick. What a lovely boat and what an absolutely fabulous upgrade, makeover, call it what you wish. To me, it has been SETAGGED and that says it all. Quality and tasteful design to the highest standards and attention to detail to the Nth degree. Superb. SETAG lead the way. 🏵🏵🏵🏵🏵
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Setag really do great updates. It means you can turn an older boat into a modern state of the art boat and when the base boat is as good as a Windy, it’s just superb! You’re not getting a boat as good as this without spending seriously more money. I love it! Setag just nail it time after time. The boat really is part of the family. Great boat, great review! Thanks as always Nick, Setag and the owner.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
I like the boat very much, but Setag has done an amazing job of refurbishing it. 👍👍
Fabulous boat! I love these Windy 37s and I'm consistently impressed with Setag's transformations. As ever, Nick's endearing style lets us all share his enthusiasm for the boats he reviews. Keep up the great videos, Nick!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Nick, what a marvelous refit by Setag, with an equally marvelous family history behind it. Thanks for the excellent yacht tour as always!
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
The Setag Yachts magic has once again been made on this fantastic 1990's windy yacht nick. Another very informative tour from yourself for us Aquaholic subscriber's and followers just beautiful nick.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
@AQUAHOLIC you always know how to keep us entertained nick, that's why I've supported you over all these years from MBY and now Aquaholic, nick.
@@johningham4942 You're very kind, John 🙂
Don’t know about the economics of this refurbishment, but I love to see it! What the owner did was fantastic and the boat looks great. Easily could spend an extended weekend on her. Thanks for such a great tour and putting in the old pictures as well. There is a reason so many people love your video’s Nick!
Thank you! 🙂
That would be a great Smuggler's Blues 3.
YES!! Would love one of these, genuinely. 🙂
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but hey two top things in one episode,a Setag refurbishment and a Windy,a Windy refurbishment deep joy,. Top episode all around Mr Burnham sir and what a great job Setag have done to a great classic, big kudos to the owner keeping this boat in the family and bringing it up to date ten out of ten, Nick all the best from Cornwall 🤗✌️👍
really enjoy seeing older machines getting a restomod
Big 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 to SETAG on a job well done and a very loved boat
Love the history behind this yacht. The restoration was done beautifully. Glad to see it stay part of the family.
Very worthwhile refit on a great looking practical fun boat and it’s a windy👍
Realy a fantastic family Yacht, a great weekender..
And my respect how the Owner has done a perfect restoration...
Many thanks for showing this beauty Nick
My pleasure!
Another wonderful example of Setag’s ability to refurbish a beautiful and loved gem of a boat! Thanks, Nick!
My pleasure!
That's an absolutely gorgeous boat. I love that '90s exterior, and the refit is fantastic.
Absolutely gorgeous boat, I think that period of design was the pinnacle, I think they're much more stylish than these newer boats that look like trainer boots lol
I don't disagree with you. Modern boats are very interior space focussed, a modern 37ft sportscruiser would be roomier inside because that's what people want, but the corollary of that is that they lose the looks to some extent. That's why refurbing a boat that looks like this makes sense because you just can't get them anymore.
Saving boats with a soul. Beautiful little week ender. Thank you Nick 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
A very nice refurb and shows what can be done to bring an old yacht up to date.
Great tour Nick.
It reminds me of our old ‘99 Sealine s37 in many ways, which had been upgraded to D4’s too!
Restore and reinvigorate is the way forward!!
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
New life to a very classic Windy, wow 😃I'll bet the owners are happy with the result of the refit😀 Thank you for a great tour 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! 😃
Been watching your channel for about a year, Nick, and I never fail to be impressed by the ingenuity of the designers and refurbishers: the ability to squeeze so much into comparatively small spaces is just marvellous.
Great to see a boat given a new life and not just broken up
What a refit, it's a joy to see a 98 look so new. Setag really do some excellent work. Great video. 🇦🇺 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Cracking job by Setag as always. Lovely little boat 👍
That takes me back to when we had a Grand Mistral 37 Hard Top. Very quick boat we had super charges on our 260 hp volvos. We dis some fab trips East,West and Channel Islands.
Happy Days......oh, that's what she was called!
you would think that boat was just built. if you didnt have the old pictures, I dont think anyone would believe that boat is that old! what a great refit to prove you dont need brand new for a new boat.
Great video as usual, being a fan of older sports cruisers I love to see them brought up to date like this.
I'd love to send my Targa 33 to seatag in the future.
Targa 33 would be ideal, a high quality base boat like this one.
We're ready when you are
Nick, ✔️👍👍 great refresh even though its not my type of boat its making the owner very happy, Cheers DougT
an impressive refit of an impressive yacht. very well done.
Wow they did an amazing job updating the boat!Well done owners!
They did a great job on her. She's basically a new boat. Owner will enjoy her for many years to come. Probably pass her on to his kids.
Wow they did a great job refreshing that cockpit! 👍👍
What a great tour of a fantastic boat . Absolutely superb refurbishment. Many thanks Nick ( and owner ) for sharing .
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Those Windy's are nice boats. Great refit!!! Thanks for another great tour Nick!!
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Beautiful shapes, masterful refit.
What a great job that company does.
What a lovely looking boat .
Well done nick.
Thanks! 🙂
Cracking Setag work Nick, Kiddie Safety Nets for the front Berth is impressive, but the Crowning glory for me, is the Setag Rum Box, but I'd need a much bigger Cupboard to fit a much bigger version in. ❤ it 😂 Best Wishes. Bob.
I like your thinking! 😄
Always good to a have a “..Thing” or two on a classy refurbishment. It’s a lovely boat and great review, always a calming part of the day watching your vlogs. And always a smile whilst watching 😊👍
Great to hear! 🙂
Nicely refitted engine compartment as well! 👍👍👊👊
Not sure how much the owner paid for the refit, but it was worth every penny. And even nicer bearing in mind the family history with this beautiful boat. Thank you for the tour.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😃
Nice boat it turned out great 👍
What a great refit!
Just about perfect, and a more sustainable way to get a great boat.
I need Setag to give me a refresh. I'm almost fifty years from my maiden voyage. Cheers, Nick!
@Navy1977 nah, mate. That was a good one!
😢 so sorry for your loss and your honesty. As someone working towards the same goals in the water we appreciate you
That’s a very nice boat Nick and yes I can see you in one of those as well 👍🏻👌🏻
🩷 Beautiful, boat! ❤ Thanks, Nick! 💜
My pleasure!
How wonderful to see this yacht's fabulous makeover. A super job👍💯
Ahh yes a nice wet cold Friday afternoon of exercising in Ontario Canada watching Nick on a cold wet afternoon in Plymouth! I also like this Windy Nick & can see you & Maryanne plying the seas around your homestead in one. New engines look like a great booster power to compliment the other upgrades. Very Nice indeed & thanks.🙏🇨🇦👍
Lovely boat and good video nick ⛵️🛥️🚤👏👏👏👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️
Many thanks!
It's a very nice size and layout, and lovely finishes. Good bang for buck as they say!
An incredible refit, it looks fantastic.
Stunning job👌
Absolutely love what setag does 🤙
Wow, this would make a perfect Smuggler's Blues 3. Beautifully refreshed!
I think so too! 😄
Way more room than I had thought possible from the outside. Seems like a lot of boat for the money. Dropping in the pair of Volvo Penta’s was not cheap. I really like the openness too. I would definitely consider this. What’s not to love.
Love a Windy 37! For me this is one of the most interesting videos you’ve done Nick. Given how price escalation from the OEMs is making many new boats unattainable, this is a very intelligent and (relatively) affordable alternative! We have a 2003 Sealine F37 and your vid has given me some ideas… 🤔
Go for it! 😃
I genuinely was not expecting the boat to be that roomy inside. It's really got a lot going for it, especially at that price.
Oh good Lord that was nice.... I can totally assure everyone that the rum box and the coffee machine and installation of it, cost more than the majority of cars you see in the road commuting to work in the morning any day - unless you bump into me.... :)
Great job on the refit. Hull still looks reasonably modern and inside is today. Small cabins but to be expected for 37' boat. With the brand new greasy parts in the back £1/4M seems quite fair. Thanks for the tour!
I absolutely love the look and feel of 90s sports cruisers (although I'm biased as we used to have a Sunseeker Martinique). Setag have done an incredible job on this even by their usual high standards, and it's resulted in a classic design bought bang up to date, for half the price of a new boat. It's a win, win, win! Great work, and thanks Nick and the owners for bringing her to us.
I'm particularly glad they fitted the new engines. The KADs are really showing their age now (and they weren't exactly bulletproof to start with) so I'm glad that something more efficient, powerful and cleaner has taken their place. It's something you rarely see even with restored boats as it's such an expensive and involved job. I'm glad they've done it though!
Agreed, it completes a project like this, but as you say, at some cost.
A delight to the eye and the owner must be proud of the refurb!
What a cracking boat and a fantastic refurb, well done Nick and everyone at SeTag
What a stunning fit out from Setag- this boat is now way better than new, please do more of these. It would also be useful if we had the rough costs involved ie: with or without the new motors.
Wonderful wonderful video and very enjoyable thank you very much. Nick
My pleasure!
Great boat, great restoration. Thanks Nick!
My pleasure!
Hi , a really nice seaworthy boat , Setag do an amazing job all round . Thanks for the video and on wards to the Horizon . Catch you on the next one Nick .😉👍
That's a nice Weekender.
nicely referbed boat! Good price too! 👍👍
Superb refit, very impressive, should give years of happy floating…👌
When I see how much love and craftsmanship many boats are refitted with, I am sometimes surprised that this rarely happens with caravans or campers, for example. At most new pillows.😉
Great tour as always Nick and Aquaholic Team! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍
Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
@@AQUAHOLIC 👍👍
Ha ha! I was just about to write my comment saying it wouldn't be an Aquaholic video without "all that kind of stuff"!! You said it for me!!
Love these before and after type videos
Windy have always been fine boats and I think the boats from that era have a bit more class than the newer models. The rounded door frames, wood work and hull lines let you know your on a proper boat. Newer boats in a lot of cases seem to lack that ' Nautical' feel. Maybe I'm getting old. I am getting old , yesterday I was younger! 😄. And Sea Tag did a very nice job of it too.
Would be really interesting to know the approximate cost of a conversion like this.
Yes , id be guessing the best part of 100K but money well spent on the family connection to the lovely vessel, the 2nd cabin , the rum box and the coffee machine shows it’s renovated for someone who knows what they like
@@mikevanblommestein5726 perhaps even a bit more. The motors are £30k each I think, and I can imagine £10k for fitting them.
Lovely. I do very much hope ST invest in these videos as the marketing exposure is immense for them, but delivered in the authentic aquaholic way. You’re more valuable than google ads Nick ! :)
It seems a great opportunity.
Glad to see Mount Gay rum from my island home of Barbados. Great rum.
It’s a Windy so I love it already. Daydreaming of breakfast in Barcelona and lunch in Palma.😊
Very nice boat. Really enjoyed the before and after photos. Great showing by team Aquaholic.
Many thanks!
Looks so clean. Great weekender. Thank you Nick.
awesome boat!! 35 knots? Feels like yes or even moore?
We had a Sealine 328 and i would like to do the same to that boat. Lovely refit and new engines. So nice!!!!
New from bow to stern.Great work ! I'd be pretty happy with that.
LOL going for a Burton , not heard that for a few years :-)
