This video was just randomly recommended to me, and I’m glad it was! Amazon (USA) has the Runewars base game for only $33 right now. Thanks for the info!
Now that I’ve got the set in hand, what did you do to resculpt the top arching back of the giant maggot? It looks like there’s enough material that you may have just filed down the plastic to shape with a Dremel & files. Did you need to do any Green Stuff patching? Any tips? I really like how you pulled that off.
Ooh. Yeah, I did exactly that: Cut and filed it down. Didn't have a dremel at the time, but definitely would've used that. It's been a while, but I don't think I needed to fill anything. So yeah, just start cutting. ;)
Thank you! And I'm glad to have you here! :D That is an excellent suggestion, and something I have done in previous videos. Not quite sure why I haven't in some of the newer ones. I'll keep it in mind for next time! ;)
I'm sorry I'm sure even said it. But since I missed it or it wasn't said these are 28 mm? How do they size comparison with reaper bones in whiz kids managers can anyone help? I am prepared to spend the money and buy some of these sets but I need to know before I do any help would be appreciated thank you.
Hi! The Runewars miniatures are considered 28mm scale, and work well with both Wizkids and Reaper minis. (I personally use all three of these together with each other.) :)
Thank you are use both whiz kids and reaper.so that's scale on which I choose what else to get. I will use any miniatures that match up in size. By the way I also saw her once at a admittedly I don't remember if it was your shower a different one I watched several but I saw there was another game system all together some kind of a farming game that had no evil looking farmers several different types in several different colors you wouldn't know what that was with you? Well thank you for replying anyway have a good day
That might've been Agricola. The main game doesn't come with minis, but you can get expansions with them. Each expansion gives you a set of five villagers in one colour. I think the colours you can choose from are red, blue, yellow, purple, white, green. :)
I love how you removed the saddle and skeleton from the carrion lancer mini. How did you manage to do such a great work ? I'd love to try and do the same with mine but never really did any change to the sculpt of my minis.
Thank you! It's been a while, but I think I just cut off the saddle and such, trying to continue the pattern of the body. Might've added some Milliput/Green Stuff to fill gaps where necessary - not sure. :) I remember it taking a bit of work, but I'm very happy I did it. :)
@@TheCreativeKobold And what tool did you or should I use to cut of the saddle, a saw ? A dremel maybe ? It's a great idea indeed, it staysusable for runewars if you want to play it and is a great way to get a nice and intimidating Carrion Crawler for D&D/Pathfinder games :)
@@TheCreativeKobold Ok thank's for the information then I'll have to try that then, the nice thing is if I go to far with my tools I can fill my mistakes with green stuff. :)
Most interesting! I can't find this set in Norway for cheaper than 642 NOK + shipping. That's a step above 40$, but it always more costly here, isn't it? :) :( Anyone know of a cheaper place?!
Yeah, it's always more expensive here. :/ I managed to get mine for under 500 NOK(don't remember exactly how much) when Grimfield Games had a sale on it some time ago, though. But they seem to be out of stock atm. I see Midgard Games has a single one in stock at 576 NOK.
@@lynnmoore3684 Ahh, that's a shame! But at least you have them. I'm really interested in seeing what else they would've made(aside from the few expansions that were made)!
Yeah these are great, but honestly I prefer prepainted stuff. I am not a good painter, and I really shouldn't have bought the huge amount of unpainted minis I've had.
Trust me, it's much easier to get something decent looking than you think. And like every other craft, it takes practice to become good at painting minis - but you can get pretty decent results even when you're just starting out! :) I highly suggest you get yourself some cheap acrylic paints and a couple of brushes from the closest craft store, and just try it out, one miniature at a time! :)
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Seems I've gotten a few comments without notice. :) That sucks. Keep an eye out online. I've seen it on sale twice on Miniature Market in the past couple of months, as well as Amazon and another site not too long ago.
I agree those skeletons have some really cool sculpting done with them. Great kit for sure.
Absolutely! :D
Wow! Those really look great! Thanks for the review. I just picked up a set on eBay for $30 with free shipping!
It's without a doubt a set worth getting! :)
Really nice presentation of the minis!
I have some of the skeleton infantry that I got separately, and they are indeed very nice.
Thank you! Yeah, the skeletons in this set are still my favorite skeleton minis. :D

Bare hyggelig! :D
Wow, I can see this being a good way to bolster my Soul Wars set as well. It's always nice to find affordable proxy models.
Oh, that's a good idea! :D
Holy crap, this set is awesome. So glad I found your channel!
It's a fantastic set! And glad to have you! :D
So glad I found your channel. I only wish you would display a wotc mini while showing off your cool finds to help with scale perspective.

Thanks for the video i have been looking at the mini for D&D games.
I'm glad you liked it, thanks for watching! :)
Amazing I’m going to definitely pick up a set this is crazy never seen these before
Yeah! It's such a great set, especially when you can get it for as low as you can. :D
The Creative Kobold yeah I was looking them up an wow like $25 for the main set
That's awesome! Totally ought to get it at that price! Some of the expansions look really cool as well, though I only have the core set myself. ;)
The Creative Kobold I seen on amazon they had some of the expansions for like $12 are less
Yeah. Shipping usually kills Amazon deals for me, though.
They look like they would go great with reaper minis.
You know, I think they would!

Glad to help! Next video will be a simple miniatures find video, but I've got lots of cool stuff lined up! :)
I have 2 sets of these.. the elves are also nice.
Very cool! :D

The conan board game is also an amazing bargain.
Oooh, I'll check it out!
@@TheCreativeKobold last u checked it was $56 and the game has over 60 miniatures I believe...

Are these 28mm?
More like 32mm.
Somewhere around 30-32mm scale. Not that big of a difference next to 28mm when on the table. :)
@@TheCreativeKobold True. I have so many of these minis then FFG killed the game...

Sadly the only place I know with any of these has them at MSRP and probably until the end of time. A shame FFG had to be FFG.
