- It's December! And on LGR that means Christmas video games. This time we're taking a dive into the vast pool of seasonal Flash games. It's a nearly endless source of holiday themed games from the 2000s and thankfully it's easier than ever to play with the Flashpoint archive!
And if you do play the LGR Christmas Game Tropes Drinking Game... have fun but be careful 🧑🎄

For those asking about Elf Bowling, I covered that years ago :) ua-cam.com/video/28TyIsCwkQo/v-deo.html
Sims 4 For Rent next month or this month bud?
@@DarkeningDemiseShould be the final weekend this month. Headed outta town for the holidays!
@@LGRYou're looking good and healthy dude!
Elf Elf Baby!!
Where do you get so nice jazz tunes? I really love them
We are glad you enjoyed the archive! Our contributors work hard to maintain and make it the best it can be. It's been a great year for us, and this video just made it better!
Thank you, and all archivests. Much of my teens was those damn things.
Hey thanks for commenting! You all are doing such a great job and I'm so pleased that all of these titles are being preserved for the future. Truly inspiring work!
I'm greatful for this project's existence. Macromedia and Flash were definitely my childhood.
Thank you so much for this project, i've always suggested it to my friends.
Just want to echo the sentiment, you all have done an amazing job with this archive. Thank you! Media preservation is important. That goes for ALL media, even “The Snow Runs Red” lol
It’s not Christmas until Florb Norp says: “Christmaaasss!”
Not Flurblenerp?
Nah its Flabblenorp
Buhnrop?
I thought it was flurblenurble
Flobbadobbadobb?
“Can I kiss the grannies? Nope? Well, what’s the point?” That got a pretty hearty chuckle out of me
I mean you're not kissing grannies is it even a game then??
Clint's looking more and more like a contented grandpa with every passing christmas.
Feeling like one, too!
Let's hope he's not a grandpa in his 40s. While physically possible it's not recommended.
This unscripted browsing of random christmas games is now my favourite holiday tradition.
So many, many more libraries and storefronts to peruse too!
I appreciate that Clint is keeping the christmas lore alive on his channel, and it has become tradition for my family. For Christmas i marathon these videos with my family, and I just want to thank Clint for giving us something to share for the holiday.
Glad to hear it, and happy holidays :)
@@LGR I really love those Christmas videos too!. Happy Holidays!
@@LGR happy holidays to you as well!
Clint is truly a saint for taking care of his clone for all of these years. Many would have just given them to the pound or left them by an overpass, as is all too common, but it warms my heart to know that he has a good home
I’ve literally laughed more in this videos’s first 60 seconds than in the whole of last weeks UA-cam watching. “Christmas!!!”
that sucks. sorry to here that:( you might be stuck in an unfunny algorithm loop.
8:58 !!! I remember Christmas Cat!! I was the person that curated that game for Flashpoint back in 2021! (which means uploading the game, adding the description, title, screenshot etc.) I'm super happy to see someone playing one of the 200 or so games I contributed to the archive! Though I'm not really active with the project nowadays, thank you for enjoying Flashpoint!
Thanks for the Ruffle shoutout! We've a long way to go still, but I'm proud of our progress so far :D
It's great that it works so well within a browser, keep up the solid work!
Omg it is dinnerbone one of the devs for minecraft
Use it everyday for neopets games!
You keep Homestar Runner up and running and that means the world to me.
Ruffle is better than flashpoint
The way you read that line that "in the future Santa KIllED HImSeLf!?" was too damn funny cause it came out of nowhere.
I actively work on this project! I'm so glad you enjoyed the games!
Well awesome, it's a phenomenal archive!
I'm so happy this reoccuring christmas clint continues. It's like a tradition.
Is it just me or does Clint’s sweater look super cozy
Keeping it old school with the LGR Christmas intro. I love it.
I was at a startup that made 30-40 Flash games. We had a team in India and another in Russia making them. I made 3 myself, including a Tetris port that I think was more playable than the official Tetris, because I programmed the keyboard more carefully to allow for all the special moves. Plus I did graphic reskins on a couple from overseas.
Should check to see if they're backed up within Flashpoint. I'd bet they are!
If you would like to contribute any files you may have to the project, they have a discord, it would be very welcomed!!
I don't see them on Flashpoint. A couple of the other games I wrote were for holiday promos: Cupid Toss and Easter Egg Catch. I do have a box of most of my past hard drives I can search through. The most popular game on the whole site was MahJong. The graphics weren't great, so I did a new version with a pixel art tileset that I worked on really hard. Most customers were stay at home moms, it seems. (SplashSpot.) That was probably one of my most fun jobs. I also redesigned the site around the end of the year in 2003. It was so much work!
All these years later, the Christmas Clone is still hysterical.
I love the kissing girl instructions written in Engrish, and that it turns out she's a succubus.
shut it gaijin
I want to be very clear that there is NEVER a skippable CLONE INTRO. The Christmas Clone is SACRED!
To even suggest the clone intro is skippable is ANATHEMA.
In the late 90s my office became obsessed with the Elf Bowling flash game.
Just the thumbnail had me laughing like a maniac. I love seeing Clint's clone shenanigans.
the christmas obsessed clone gets me every year
0:50 oh yes Jazz Jackrabbits Christmas theme always fills me with great memories. That game was so amazing back then, nice Christmas music and graphics. And it was free!
Went with the planet Candion from Holiday Hare 1995, if you want to be specific.
Those levels were the best, almost Jazz Jackrabbit 2 quality! @@Roxor128
Flash games are how i survived middle school. Aaaaand Java games.
For me it was Pogo's Java based web games
Arcadepod!
Runescape enters the chat
Man that damn zombie football game on coffeebreakarcade just ate up time
Flash and Shockwave Games for me.
This has been my favorite channel on UA-cam since 2015 and will continue to be. Clint has become a celebrity for us nerds. The digital world and everything that goes with it, the hardware and the software it's all good. Keep rolling out the content on LGR because you never let us down with entertaining and informative videos God willing.
Ah Flash Games, the begin of what we call today "indies". So many good memories, so many great and interesting games.
Kuods to flashpoint crew, such an amazing project.
I think we all know where Kojima got the inspiration for Death Stranding now. Shaggy does it again.
I was wondering when the Christmas Clone would be showing up again. Glad they're still around.
christmas clone shows up at christmas SHOCKING
I wonder where the Christmas Clone goes when it isn't December? Is he cryogenically frozen somewhere or does he have his own spot in the house he hangs out in?
It wouldn't be LGR in December without the Christmas clone so yeah 😂😂
I think it's "Glad he's still around." The clone is a he not a they, I imagine.
they were showing quite a bit more than expected 😂
Great video as always, Clint. Super funny and nostalgic, and always keeps me coming back to this channel. I've been watching your videos for 13 years 😅 crazy how time flies 😳
Well dang, thanks for sticking around!
Flashpoint is a godsend for all of us who grew up on not only flash games, but everything else that was online and gaming and even the flash animations... ahhh the good ol days of funny Mario animations. Good times.
Love the soda opening intro, your old theme was a banger.
Thanks for introducing me to Flashpoint, LGR! 10 year old me would have *lost his mind* at the extent of their free library.
My pleasure, it's such a conveniently-presented resource to have
Clint it's not often I comment on your videos, but thank you so much for this. A lot of these games I played as a teen and child with my siblings I assumed were lost, and I have spent an afternoon reconnecting with a lot of them along with my siblings.
“This is why gaming mice were created” had no right to be that funny
getting absolutely blasted at 8 am Friday morning watching Clint play crappy flash games
Of all the weird UA-cam traditions in all the channels and around the year, Christmas Clint is truly my favorite. Warms my heart every year.
The Christmas-y Flash game that always stuck with me was the snowball fight game SnowCraft. Good memories playing that one on the school computers.
Now that’s a name I have not heard in a long time…a long time.
Is that the one that let you build snow fortifications or am I thinking of a totally different obscure game?
I don't think so. As I recall you just have a side and it's a mostly simple snowball fight game.@@Patashu
@@STABxWESTYeah, I looked up Snowcraft and I think I ALSO played this game. There's probably an endless abyss of christmas themed games (and just freeware games in general around the period) and it's difficult to re-find anything after you've lost it, haha.
Christmas ! Christmas ?! CHRISTMAS ! FLASHMAS !
Always love the Christmas LGR weirdo
As a massive fan of yours, I can't believe of all things you ended up playing my 2012 Flash game Slay With Santa! This has absoloutely made my week, thank you so much and Merry Xmas!!
An LGR Christmas video is what my advent calendar counts down to
Every day has a new clip of him doing a duke nukem impression
Thank you for doing these videos every December. It has become part of my Holiday tradition.
Flashpoint is such an amazing project. Thank you everyone who is involved.
Thanks for doing the Christmas videos. My wife and I have made it our annual tradition to watch the entire back catalog of Christmas LGR videos right before December in anticipation of new Christmas episodes.
Flashpoint really gives you a blast from the past.
😂 I was not expecting that intro. Thank you for smiles.
Clint: "Take a shot!"
Me: "It's 11AM . . .but okay!"
"Can I kiss the grannies?" is not a question I thought I'd hear on LGR.
One of the intros of all time
Avatar checks out.
LGR Christmas video is out, it's officially Christmas time!
Always love seeing the classic intro again. Hope you have a Merry Flashmas and a Happy New Year, Clint!
downloaded flashpoint and spent wayyyyyy more time than I'm willing to admit binging the Protecter series
Christmas Clint knows his lines so well. Very admirable.
So glad to see someone else diving into Flashpoint Infinity Christmas games!
It also has an amazing Halloween selection, just fyi 😀
Yeah, I drank from the firehose on these Flash Xmas games!
Merry Flashmas! And a Java New Year! I swear, the clone skits are priceless!
Clint is so comforting to just listen to.
28.9 °C here at 00:17 AM and that fire on television makes me warmer.
I think the opening segment is the best one you've done so far. I tried to like, hold back from laughing and I couldn't lmao
I can't wait for you to continue this clone storyline for the next 20 years only to have it end in a Fight Club situation.
Flash was the beginning of my career as a developer, and I had completely forgotten about it. Thank you!
And now I was sad to have lost the source code of many projects.
I can't really remember any Christmas specific flash games I played, but my favorite Flash games as a kid were the Cartoon Network "Cartoon Cartoon Summer Resort" series. It was 4 pretty small adventure games where you explored an island and collected different items to try and solve a problem. The whole series was made to advertise a bunch of pilots they were airing at the time, so none of the playable characters are from shows that ever properly existed. They were simple, but fun, little adventure games.
Those run on Shockwave, actually! But they are basic enough where they definitely could have been made in Flash haha
I like how there were like half a dozen known total control explloits through Flash.
Didn't expect to see the Buu Klubben christmas websites on Flashpoint's file list. Gotta relive that mid 00s "nostalgia".
Flash games were my childhood. Bubble Tanks and Bubble Tanks 2. Fancy Pants Man, Sonny, Raze 2, Clear Vision, There is Only One Level, Bloxorz, Raft Wars, Road of the Dead, Powder Game, Happy Wheels, Warfare 1917, Exit Path, Thing Thing Arena, Sierra 7, Gateway 1/2/3, Unreal Flash 3, plazma burst 2....SO MANY MORE
Once I saw the kissing game I thought "oh this is like a weird version of Flicky" and then Clint goes and straight up says it
Idk why but Christmas guy always makes me smile 😂
It's good to have Christmas Clone Clint back. CHRISTMAS!
YES!!!!!! It finally feels like Christmas now that LGR has put out his Christmas special. The last couple of weeks, I have caught myself saying to myself, "Christmaaaaaas"
LGR, I love that you did this. Flash was my life as a kid. You should do flash games on your channel aswell!
I'm so joyed to see Christmas Clone Clint every year! Awesome!
I miss silly flash games. Spent god knows how many hours in Newgrounds, playing Mario Combat and Madness. Also, flash games in the Cartoon Network site were one of my first experiences in the Internet.
Clone intro is NOT skippable.
Funny weird story, in Aldi at Christmas time they have these cookie / biscuit type things called lebkuchen, they taste of Christmas, and everyone I see them I make the Christmas clone noise out loud 🤣
I haven't laughed that hard at an Intro to a video by ANYONE in years.
I nearly spit out my cereal laughing at the intro 😅 that was hilarious!
Gotta love how crazy some of these flash games could be.
The LGR Christmas doppleganger returns once again!
0:36. Ok that's too funny. I didn't think LGR would get that risque, but I appreciate it.
LGR flashing himself.
My favorite Christmas flash game is Winterbells by Orisinal. Anyone else remember it? You're a bunny hopping on top of bells as they scroll down the screen and the bells get progressively smaller.
Yes, I love that game! Such a warm cozy game and the music is wonderful. Those bells do get tiny way up in the sky, and when the bunny missed it would fall alllll the way down and just thud softly against the snow. Orisinal had the most aesthetically pleasing games overall, thank you for reminding me. ;u;
I feel warm fuulzzy christmas LGR vibes coursing through my body
I always know Christmas has officially begun when Clint's Christmas Doppelgänger emerges from the shrieking chaos of The Far Realms in order to bring us all seasonal greetings and assault the real LGR :3
Was sipping a beer while watching, so I joined in the drinking game! Thank you, Clint! Wooo hooo!!! Got me nice and toasty! Merry Christmas you beautiful man!
Aw yeah, cheers 🍻
If you’re looking for more Christmas things to cover, a number of 90s games had Christmas Easter eggs (Christmas eggs?). Eg The Incredible Machine gave you some new Christmas themed gadgets when your system clock was on the 25th of December, I remember my brother and I discovered that by accident to our great joy once year. Are there enough things like that in old games to make a video out of it?
Yeah I have a list of Christmas Eggs within games! DOS games in particular, there were a whole bunch that relied on the system clock to change things over into a holiday theme.
Shenmue! :D
Clone time is the best day of the year 😁
Flash might be dead but the games will live forever!
Slay With Santa looks like a game I could spend a few bucks on and be happy with it. Impressive.
I adored Achievement Unlocked and the sequel. I thought they were so creative and fun. I think I maybe got all of the achievements in the first one. I still remember those games and it's been years. I would love to go back and play them again some time.
I found out there was even a third game that I never knew about. Now I really need to revisit them.
I may hate Christmas, but I look forward to the Christmas Clone every year.
The kissing one with the laser grannies killed me 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
That hitman christmas game was exactly the type of flash magic i was expecting
LGR rules
I will never skip the clone intro, it honestly no longer feels like Christmas without it.
OG Newgrounds, Miniclip, Armor Games... such good memories
I don't know why, but the christmas clones never fail to get me in a christmassy mood.
Nice
The good old days of wasting many hours playing free games on school computers. Pretty much any game one could think of was available. I used to play a lot of "escape the room" games like Submachine, The Crimson Room, and Mystery of Time and Space.
I miss the days when I could spend several hours sucked into a Flash game and think nothing of it.
I miss the old days of flash games!
LGR Santa has become my warm and fuzzy holiday sleep-paralysis demon.
love that the Christmas clone is still making an appearance
A big thank you to the Flashpoint archive! I have many fond memories of playing the flash games on Cartoon Network's website back in the 90s, as well as one of the Spongebob Squarepants flash games on Nickelodeon's website. I think it was called Flip or Flop.
Anyone remember Snowball Fight from early 2000s, it was such a fun Flash game. And there was a snowboarding game that was similar to SkiFree, but it was a race that you had to reach a checkpoint before the time runs out.
