Hanna Copper Checker + Savage Update

- In this video I compare the Hanna Copper Checker to the CHEMetrics Copper Test. The QT tank that was tested with the CHEMetrics was verified to be at a therapeutic level. However, I did initially think it was closer to 2.0. It looked between 1.5 and 2.0, but closer to 2.0. You just can't beat a digital read out that's an exact number which is why I love Hanna Checkers! Anyway, Savage is doing really well and appears to be making a full recovery. My new tank has a completion date of 12/21. So the new fish should be in my new system just after New Years. ;-)
Update: I now try to target 2.5ppm with Copper Power. Calculator here:

I’m loving the little funnel
@sr6863 I used to use it a lot. Now I don’t really use it anymore. I just cut the paper on 2 sides. Less work cleaning the funnel.
Wow, that’s a great recovery on that tang.
Ruben Hernandez - Thx Ruben! I’m happy. 🙂
Nice video. I’m glad Savage is looking awesome.
Fishy...thx...I’m happy he’s doing much better!
He looks great - nice work! Getting ready to do first Hanna QT- are you filling to the line on the Hanna cuvette or using syringe? I’ve heard there’s a small variance? Thanks
Gary GMJ - I think it can be done either way w/o much issues. If you fill to the line the meniscus needs to be at the line, not the water itself. But we’re talking tiny differences in readings. Not really enough to make a difference unless you’re trying to stay exactly on the low therapeutic end (1.5) which wouldn’t be wise. I’d shoot for at least 1.75-2.0. :-) This way you know you’re at therapeutic.
Thank you sir
Gary GMJ - Anytime Gary!
May I ask where you hot that mini funnel I'm ordering the hanna checker and I just know I'm spilling the reagent without it
Made my day 💃💃
Lisa’s Aquatics - He’s tough. I’m happy he survived!
