I would Highly recommend going with the version that retains the Factory Axle Disconnect if you plan to ever drive your Jeep on the Road.
Although the shafts are warrantied up to a 40" Tire, there are many other week points on the Dana 44 that can fail without proper trussing.
The RCVs get rid of a lot of the binding and crow hop when a conventional u-joint is at full lock. This is going to give you a smoother transition of power to you front wheels when offroad especially while turning.
Many Gladiator owners run 37s or larger tires. The larger the tire, the more likely you are to break stuff such as joints, ring and pinions, differentials, and even axle housings. These won't mitigate all the issues, but will mitigate U-joint breakage. Bad things can happen, and breaking things is just a part of any off-road vehicle. It will happen eventually. It's hard to overcome physics.
