I lived in Japan for nine years beginning in 1978. I have been making Golden curry for 43 years. I learned a couple of things from this video. I usually stir fry the meat before adding the veges. Also, although I love garlic in everything, I never thought of adding fresh garlic to the curry before serving. Thanks!
Watching this on Christmas morning from Japan and just made the day merrier. As a Japanese, never thought of putting in garlic. Usually put in a bit of dark chocolate or a piece of apple grated for flavor. Looked really good!

i normally eat short grain but if i wanna do a chinese fried rice i'll get takeout white rice the day before for sure

@@tld7661 long grain jasmine rice just works better in fried rice. Short grain rice doesn't suit fried rice to me.

I watched "Love Hard" on Sunday and absolutely loved it! I immediately feel in love you guys! Also, I love curry, especially katsu and beef curry. I use the same brand as well.

I absolutely love Golden Curry, and was super happy when I found the extra hot locally. Something I like to do is eat it with french fries by either dipping the fries or pouring the curry on top.

A nice complement to Japanese curry is a little beni shoga (red picked ginger slices) or rakkyo (picked scallions) on the side. Also, you could layer a few slices of cheese on the rice before you ladel in the curry for something a little different.
