I lived in Japan for nine years beginning in 1978. I have been making Golden curry for 43 years. I learned a couple of things from this video. I usually stir fry the meat before adding the veges. Also, although I love garlic in everything, I never thought of adding fresh garlic to the curry before serving. Thanks!
When Darren started using the chopsticks as drumsticks @07:55 all i could think of was my asian mom telling me to stop doing that 😂
Watching this on Christmas morning from Japan and just made the day merrier. As a Japanese, never thought of putting in garlic. Usually put in a bit of dark chocolate or a piece of apple grated for flavor. Looked really good!

@@tld7661 long grain jasmine rice just works better in fried rice. Short grain rice doesn't suit fried rice to me.

I’m Japanese, growing up eating curry all the damn time cuz it’s my dad’s favorite dish in the world. I just made it two days ago and have some left over curry in my fridge. I usually make curry with paper thin sliced beef 🥩 🍛
A nice complement to Japanese curry is a little beni shoga (red picked ginger slices) or rakkyo (picked scallions) on the side. Also, you could layer a few slices of cheese on the rice before you ladel in the curry for something a little different.

I absolutely love Golden Curry, and was super happy when I found the extra hot locally. Something I like to do is eat it with french fries by either dipping the fries or pouring the curry on top.

So hilarious! Chicken was almost ready but the guys found rice not cooked 😂😂😂. I bought the same golden curry as Jimmy's, only added 1/2 of the package to chicken. So yummy! Still have 1/2 of the package, will use Jimmy's way to cook. Merry Christmas! ✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨

Love from Hong Kong! I just made this curry over the weekend replacing chicken with fried tofu. OMG, delicious! Next time I'll replace the water with vegetable broth. Great idea, Jimmy!
I always make this with normal Chicken Broth (actually kroger brand) and its great every time. I usually cook with no salt, but I add some Worcestershire and soy sauce too. It's Great! Nice vid Jimmy!!!
