I think this will be my lifestyle. I just don't see the point in working a job you don't like, to earn money you don't need, to buy things you don't need. You end up with huge debts and become enslaved. Stuff like worldpacker and workaway allow you to actually live and see the world, and not just survive.

@@paganiyah some provide free meals… ect. but yes transportation and the membership (fyi it’s like super cheap) cheaper than a Netflix subscription for a whole year

BEWARE! UK immigration has been raiding hostels in London. Volunteering or working at a hostel without the right visa and sponser (which most hostels will not pay) is illegal! My daughter is a US citizen who is awaiting deportation at a horrible removal prison called Yarls Wood. She committed no crime. They can hold you indefiniately, no court, no appeal, and the embassy cant engage. Please I urge you to check carefully with immigration because the hostels and hosts are likely not following law. Please say a prayer for the safe return of my daughter.

so if I understand correctly, you buy a plane ticket to go to work between 20 and 30 hours a week to save accommodation that would cost you $4 a night? so you pay to work for free! where is the good plan?! 🤔

It’s not about paying to work, it’s about having the combination of a job and a chance to travel internationally. Some employers get upset if you have a gap in your resume. This program is for working abroad so you can travel and keep working at the same time, and not have a resume gap. Different than just traveling for fun!

Hi Bruno! I advise you to apply 1-month in advance. Send applications to 3~5 hosts, in order to increase your response rate. I also advise you to take the ''Outstanding Worldpacker'' free certificate, available on the Website/App. This certificate will increase your acceptance rate by hosts! I hope it helps =)

Not recommend but, NEED. You will need your own money. You would need to budget about $1000 AT LEAST depending on the location. You will have to pay for any flights or visas depending on where you choose to go!

Nope! Your all on your own there. You gotta pay for all your air fare, transportation, and visa costs which could be anywhere from $300-$200 depending on the location you choose oh and plus the $49 membership. You pretty much pay to go work for free. Up to you!
