- It either takes a bad fall, or some maturity to realize that you need good riding pants. This video will help you with two things, 1. to convince you that riding pants are an important riding gear and not a luxury, 2. to choose the right riding pants.
As a beginner rider, I used to ride with the cheap knee guards and completed several long rides including Ladakh with them. But soon, I realized that these knee guards are just for self satisfaction, and not real protection. That's when I started learning about Riding pants, and why it's essential. With several visits to a nearby store, and research I chose my first riding pant, which was the most expensive gear I have acquired so far. Yes, it's more expensive than my helmet, and my riding jacket. I have shared my research and learning through this video, and hope you find it useful.

Bro, try rynox or raida. If u use un known brands, then u will feel like knee guard is useless. It depends ,when u want to protect ur hip, then u need a riding pant, or else good branded knee guard s enough. I have a rynox stealth evo riding pant, but the knee guard pad is not at all comfortable and staying at place. So we can’t come to a conclusion.
Riding jacket is really a necessity..and have few queries...for a ride (say for example 10 days ride)..can we manage with one riding pant?..shld we carry a spare ..? How can we mantain in mid of ride?
