  • First, I almost didn't post this video, due to how shakey the footage came out. It was overcast out and I think my shutter speed was too slow, hench the shakeyness, so I apologize in advance!
I've been wanting to ride Mountaintown Creek Loop for awhile now, so I finally did. I clocked about 13 miles up to the start of the trail. This is a LONG gravel road climb up. With Mountaintown Creek Trail being so secluded and no easy way to get to it, I understand why it's a more overgrown trail. In my opinion, the payoff just wasn't as big as I would have hoped for a 13 mile climb, but nontheless, I'm glad I did it.
A few things to note- definately wear sleeves if you do this during the summer. There are tons of briers. On MTB Project it's noted that there is a private road that you take on your way out. When I did this, it was a little unclear if you were allowed to access the road. There were no tresspassing signs all on the left and right, but no signs or chain across, or as you head in to indicate that there wasn't any through traffic allowed. To be safe, I would recommend taking Pinhoti to Bear Creek back to Gates Chapel Rd to avoid all together (or ask around)!

That Bear climb is a beast. The overlook on Potato is amazing. Don't think there's another trail in the SE with so many cool creek crossings tho.

This ride looks awesome!! I love the trails in Ellijay. You should come down to Columbus Georgia at Standing Boy Creek State Park! Miles and miles of flow trails, downhill gravity trails and jumplines for all skill levels! There is a CVA Sorba group ride on Sunday at 2PM and Tuesday at 6:30PM! We also have a women’s ride on Saturday at 10AM! We would love to have you!

Bravo! But how can you stand the sound of that swarm of murder hornets chasing you? It sounds like an i9. Am I right?
