Well the GTS just came out
In case you missed it, the GPS speed said 296 kph, rounding up to 300 kph basically. Computer generated speeds within cars are not really accurate, where the gap can sometimes be as big as 20 kph.

I drive cars like these almost everyday at work and sometimes I forget how quick some of them are. It stuns me that the 992 C4S is pretty much as quick as a GT3RS. Amazing.

for 450bhp, thats actually mind blowing fast. I think this is as fast as the 570PS Nissan GTR.

Just had a ride in one last week. It was freaking insane the car seriously pulls you into the back of the seat
Any 911 fan here, please go to a local Porsche dealer and check this sweet 992 out. Stunning extra muscle lines but still the small 911 we know. Retro touches as well and it's more sporty than the 991 in dynamics. Amazing.
But dials and artificial sound at 6000+ is not that sweet point :-( performance is incredible.
Just waiting for the manual, if it ever comes out.

That's due to the official German/Europe regulations.
The manufacturers are supposed to either give accurate speed reading or show more speed than the actual.
But they can never show less speed than the original. Otherwise they don't get the NoC/License for manufacturing of cars
This is due to the safety precautions.
As this makes the driver feel that he is going faster than the actual speed.
The percentage increase varies with different models and manufacturers.
I have generally noticed, Mercedes shows almost the original speed.
And track focused cars/variants also show accurate speed.
Or maybe that GPS isnt that accurate. I would believe in a 10km/h real diference, 20 seems too high.

Gps has like half second to a second delay

at 300 Kmh (speedometer) the difference is about 18-19 kmh. This means that if this car really goes up to 308 kmh (real), the speedometer should read 330. Something is not right here :/

The GPS is more accurate. The speedometer has to be higher than the real speed.

I think the best evolution here is not about the HP but about the torque curve. I have owned a 996 turbo and, in all honesty, wasn't that "wow" due to the turbo lag. This one should have a much better driving experience
this one is way, way faster than that 30hp difference would suggest. Like 3 seconds faster to 200.
