Most forms of creative output are partly derivative, and any work is done to make a living. Your opinion, as much as you're entitled to it, reeks of a disparaging bitterness meant to take someone down. Everyone is better off if you make an effort to make a positive comment on another video of an artiste that you actually like.
what a sad way of looking at it. I agree with Quinn. I'm pretty sure everything is derivative. And who says it's "his"? He lives in Italy, works with local musicians and seems to sincerely embrace the culture. You can be inspired by a culture and honour that through your art without it being stealing and some kind of disrespectful appropriation. A lot of people are so quick to jump to that conclusion. To me, it seems like entitlement to say this is mine and you're not allowed to touch it.
