In Skipperstreet

NL/ De kick off van IN ΣKIPPERΣTREET gebeurde met de schenking van een bouzouki van George Dalaras aan het Museum Vleeshuis in Antwerpen, een prachtig middeleeuws gebouw waarin een prachtige collectie muziekinstrumenten wordt bewaard. De bouzouki werd met veel ceremonieel vanuit Brussel naar Antwerpen gebracht per binnenschip. Er werkten tientallen muzikanten aan mee als hommage aan de Griekse muzikanten die hen voorgingen. Om dit event te financieren, organiseerden we een fantastisch gelukte crowdfunding met het platform Growfunding / Geef om Erfgoed. Erfgoedorganisatie HISTORIES maakte hierover een filmpje om het crowdfunden binnen erfgoedgemeenschappen te promoten. We zijn dankbaar en fier!
E/ The kick off of IN ΣKIPPERΣTREET happened with the donation of a bouzouki by George Dalaras to the Museum Vleeshuis in Antwerp, a beautiful medieval building that houses a magnificent collection of musical instruments. The bouzouki was ceremoniously brought from Brussels to Antwerp by barge. Dozens of musicians worked on it as a tribute to the Greek musicians before them. To finance this event, we organised a fantastically successful crowdfunding with the platform Growfunding / Geef om Erfgoed. Heritage organisation HISTORIES made a video about this to promote crowdfunding within heritage communities. We are grateful and proud!
