Outstanding video I think you have sold me the cooker and I wouldn't mind renting the bothy.

Thank you for posting this, we struggle to get our bakeheart hot enough. I thought it was probably because they had changed the design for the eco22 regulations compared to the previous version that people on facebook forums seem to get hotter than ours. Yours is also the newer eco22 version. The visible difference is the pins in the firebox to support the grill rather than grooves in the sides of the firebricks. I'm wondering how long your flue is as I think ours might be too short and maybe we aren't getting enough draw? I could not see from the video where the needle on the temp dial was when you said it was "hot, hot, hot", The hottest we have managed to get ours is the white line between hot and very hot but the oven temp really drops when we open the door. cheers

Same here. I have also the eco version with a filter which can be pushed inside. The fire box is closed to protect the filter. However, it should be hot enough but it needs longer to reach the temperature...

might also be the wood- the drier- the better the burn, the hotter the oven. Moreover, the moor ash the less heat in the oven.

The thermometer is in the door. It is the thermometer that is cooling not the oven. I suffer from too much draw on windy days so often have to regulate the oven temperature by opening the door. I have been told a flue stabilising tee is the only solution but I am reluctant to draw hot air out of the room. It kinda defeats the secondary purpose of heating the house.
