Thank you very much for the kind words, we’re hoping he maybe out next week. The bicycle looks lovely, the paint scheme really shines in the evening light.
We are all- men and women alike- children when it comes to bikes and their bells! I ting mine in the shed all the time just because.... LOL! Great video and stunning bike. I also love the bike photo thoughts, thankyou.
Lovely ride, thank you for taking us with you. (Here in Finland evenings are very bright, for example today the sun sets around eleven o'clock p.m. and will rise before four o'clock a.m. tomorrow. t's not really dark at all now, just twilight. The best time of the year.)
It is nice to see the Currys again. It is ashame about the loss of country lanes. I would not be surprised that if the old railway line was not "preserved" it probably would have just been destroyed although I do agree that converting it into a cycle track that it would be more useful especially if it could run to a near by active station
Oh I had a curry's Elizabethan! I bought it for £15's on ebay and I'm afraid I did terrible things to it, turning it into a polo bike at first and then into a fixed gear!

A shame that old railway line can't be turned into a path/ trail for walkers/ cyclists....There's one near me, the Cheshire Lines path......I think Sustrans were responsible for it.
Of course, in the alternative, you could encourage people to spend some free time helping the railway preservation society, old bikes aren't the only thing worth encouraging use of, one thing Dr. Beeching's less to blame than the minister who instructed him in terms of both railway AND cycle use. I blame Marples, not Beeching, & frankly it's 50:50 which has more merit out of railways & cycleways. Not like there's any less case for public funding in either case, the lack of use by either is pretty much down to neither being actually available. I've a Pashley 3 speed, I couldn't find a Raleigh Superbe (or true equivalent)at a reasonable price in range to collect with no van/car, unfortunately. Wanted something British, with hub dynamo lights both ends, got something with no dynamo, & sadly even new, Pashley can't be arsed to wire up a rear light to a hub dynamo, lazy battery wasting environmental vandals.
I absolutely agree about Marples vs Beeching. The Beeching report had much positivity and recommendations for investment, but it was up against the motorway building projects with all those lorries and diggers and dumpers with MARPLES written all over them! Tories have always been corrupt, with no regard for the country over themselves.
Beautiful Raleigh bike!
What a lovely place to ride a rare bike, loved it many thanks .
I’m sorry you missed out on the 21” companion to that bike, Little Lizzy
Another enjoyable ride out thank you rowan.
Superb! My favourite colour for a bike.
The Elizabethan is stunning, and well suited to an evening ride 😊

Yes it would connect Fleetwood, Thornton and many suburbs to the rail network at Poulton-le-Fylde station, where the railway lines used to converge.
Inspired here in Ontario to seize, refurbish and ride vintage bikes thanks to the Velocipedium. Hope you are well sir.😊
You really remind me of me, although my Daily (Mostly) Bike Rides are around Duluth MN....chefpedley USA...chefpedley
