Tested out the pledge trick for the first time today having got caught in several showers. Amazing difference, beats smearing rain across your visor with your glove.

Thank you for the 'pledge'! Yeah, some bike colours are poor for visibility to other road users. Black and grey. I always wear a flourescent yellow bib. Yes, use your headlight. Many later bikes have these on permanently.
And stopping distances increase in the wet, so extend your distance between you and the vehicle ahead.
I'm sure most of you know this. 'Motorcycle Roadcraft' - The Police Federation covers all this.

I rode from the Uk to Spain in June about 5 years on a Multistrada it rained all the way to Spain I had my rain suit on all the time it was horrendous. From Caen France 9 am to my hotel in Logroño rioja región at 11.00 at night worst part was the mountains near pamplona the trucks and tunnels with unlite roads , must admit I was determined to get there but bollox d when I did .
