I call Missouri Star "Disneyland for Quilters." I was born and raised near Hamilton, MO, so when I go there to visit, my sisters, my daughter and I always have barbecue near there, then have so much fun at Missouri Star! I'm glad you were able to go there!
😊 Thanks for sharing your haul! I had a chance to go two years ago. It was such a wonderful time with such friendly and helpful staff. I loved that every shop I went in had two shelves with fabric that was $5 a yard! There are so many bargains--and they mailed everything I bought home for free!
As a travel nurse, I was fortunate enough to be at last year’s bash. I’ve never spent so much money, (while enjoying every dime of it) on fabric. Another chance to fellowship with like minded people. Save your egg money, and make this a bucket list destination. ❤
The nice thing about that 10" stacker is that it doesn't have to be just for Christmas. It's soft enough you could leave the quilt out until Valentines, since it's mainly a winter theme. And the wooden thing is a point turner. Nice haul!
I love going there. My adult daughter and two of her friends went this summer. We had a great time. It’s a day trip for us so we go about once a year. Have to save up for that day of spending. Love the bags!!
Thank you for sharing your trip. It made me smile the whole way through! I'm so happy you got to go. That's a bucket list for me and I want to take my daughter as well.
I’m sorry I missed you at the Birthday Bash! My BFF and I had so much fun wandering around and buying quite a lot of! Cory will definitely be a love of sewing and not much buying! You are definitely one of my favorite channels!❤
@@thequiltingcompound I saw the Triple Play Trunk in the afternoon. It wasn’t the taping of it. They went through all the Triple Plays for the last year and the remainder of this year! I know that someday, I will go back again!❤️My checkbook may need to recover for a while before that happens!😀
Fantastic haul and you are so lucky to have gotten to Missouri Star! It was good for you that your daughter isn’t into quilting right now…you got twice as many goodies! Yay for you! Enjoyed your reveal!
The wooden tool is for pushing out corners and the opposite end can be used to temporarily crease seams before you iron them. I was there last week too. It was sew much fun!
What fun this looks like. I live in the southeastern part of Kansas, just south of Wichita, so I am guessing it is not too far to MSQC. I love the fabrics you got especially the layer cakes. So glad you got to go, and I look forward to seeing what you will be making with all of your new fabrics. Happy quilting…………….
I'm glad you had such a good time and thanks for sharing with us. I'm so envious. I'm in on the sew out of your stash October as it seems I'm a fabric hoarder more than a fabric sewer! I surely need help getting my mojo boosted.
from Gerry- The large wooden "needle" is for making a "toothbrush rug". There are videos on You-tube. I also use one for tapestry weaving. I was in Hamilton about 7 years ago in July. It has ex-panded so much since then. I'm glad you had a great time. God bless.
I am jealous that you got to go to MSQC Birthday Bash. I know you had a great time with your daughter. I also change what craft I work on every few years. I am into piecing big time at the moment. Thank you for sharing!
My husband surprised me with a trip to MSQ for my birthday one year. 😅one of the BEST birthday presents ever!! I didn’t get to meet Jenny tho. She was out of town when we were there. But, I still loved it!
If you use the flannel for backing on a cotton quilt top. Pre-wash the flannel first because it stretches more than cotton and will wrinkle and fold over when quilted.
I call it the star chain. I have a scrappy video of the quilt. I will get you the link. Thanks for watching and happy sewing 😊 Scrappy Star Chain Quilt ua-cam.com/video/aiDNBTAyz7E/v-deo.html
Sounds like it was a worthwhile fun adventure! How blessed you are that your daughter wanted to share quality time with you. Thanks for sharing this.
The bamboo is a point turner. I use mine as a mini ironing board for pressing open seams in the collars of shirts so they fold neatly.
What a great idea!

Birthday Bash was amazing! I probably went way overboard but I loved each and everything!❤
I loved it! Next time I will be more organized. I really wanted to see the Triple Play but I was too late for that. 😊

It's very hard not to get out of budget at Missouri Star. I spent 3 days for a retreat and shopped and shopped. Such fun. Well done!

I love the Magical Winterland.
Sounds like fun trip!
I love your shirt 👕 So happy that you made it to MSQ
The blue tin was part of the MSQ Box for Christmas See u next time
Oh I love that sewing tin kit.
This place is only an hour away from me! I love going there!
You’re so lucky! I can’t wait to go back! I loved it there. Thanks for watching and happy sewing😊
I always use flannels on backs of quilts. They are warmer and they help quilts stay on beds if you don't have footboards on your bed.
My husband surprised me with a trip to MSQ for my birthday one year. 😅one of the BEST birthday presents ever!! I didn’t get to meet Jenny tho. She was out of town when we were there. But, I still loved it!
Oh How thoughtful. That is a great Birthday present. Thanks for watching 😊
Great opportunity to go to MS and with your daughter! I would love to go there but not in my cards.
I use flannel backing with most quilts I make!
What fun.

Thanks for the tip! I will do that. Thanks for watching and happy sewing 😊
Thanks for sharing
That pointy thing is a point turner, tho you might be able to use as a hera.
Yes it is. 😁Thanks for watching and happy sewing 😊
I love Andover Fabrics.
Me too!! Thanks for watching and happy sewing 😊
In your introduction, what is the name of the white, grey and blue quilt? I love this
I call it the star chain. I have a scrappy video of the quilt. I will get you the link. Thanks for watching and happy sewing 😊

@@thequiltingcompound thank you soooo much ❤️
I'm sure someone else has told you the wooden tool is to push into corners to make them sharp. 😊
lol! No I think my brain stopped working yesterday. Thank you 😊
I didn't find anywhere big enough to park my RV! A 29 foot class C. 😢
Oh no! Yes it’s a very small town. Happy sewing and RV’ing! Thanks for watching 😊
Where did you get the shirt
From Missouri Star!! Thanks for watching and happy sewing 😊
