Primitive Gatherings is an impressive store, if you do visit I hope you let me know when, it would be delightful to meet you. I recommend including the EAA,( Experimental Aircraft) Museum close by, replicas and originals of planes from the Wright Brother’s to space craft, stunning to stand next to, what people risked their lives in!

I think seeing each tow before putting it together would be helpful. I like the quilt & looking forward to making it. I found a lint roller under a dollar at IKEA!

I am on a no fabric purchases for the remainder of this year. I cancelled all my subscription boxes and now working on using them up.

Different size happens alot with different mfg. They all use different mfg for die cuts, just like jelly rolls some measure from peaks others in the valley. I would buy both of same brand to try to avoid

Cut down your ripped block and use it for your label.

good idea on sewing to strips but your having to cut twice vs cutting the squares first you only cut once. Also you can buy 2.5" squares if you don't want to cut the yardage.

Thanks for the tutorial I have the perfect layer cakes. I don’t pay to much attention to the exact sizes when using 10” precuts before sewing together since I always press and trim up. I sew all of my 4 patches together press & trim to size and do the same for hst. When making hst with 10” pieces you will never get two 10” hst in return, they will always trim up at 9 1/2” so if they are a tiny bit off it doesn’t really matter. The reason I prefer precuts to yardage is that my all in one cutting/sewing/pressing space is the size of half of an ironing board so for me precuts work better then yardage. When I need to cut yardage for borders or backings I go to my lqs and use their cutting table.

Jamie, I wish I could remember who to give credit to, but I don’t. Regarding the precut sizing. Some companies include the peak of the pinched edges and some measure from the valley edge. I had a similar situation with 2 different manufacturers of layer cakes. Now I always measure all my precuts. 🌻💕🧵 Love the colors in this quilt and the pattern!
