The main Invincible comic started in 2003, and finished in early 2014. Was under Image Comics.
Something to keep in mind about that "fake" Spider-Man. In the comics he actually interacted with both the Marvel and DC universes due to Angstrum universe hopping him just like you saw in the season 2 episode. He met both Spider-Man and the Avengers. He also met the Tick from that comic universe. Obviously, they couldn't have those actual characters in the show.
Season 3 looks like it's going to cover when things really kick off. And I'm expecting we're going to get several more seasons beyond this as well given how much more of the main story there is left. I can't wait!

@@SalikCollins Actually, it ended in 2018.
And in the same year, the show was announced.
Also, in both the comic and the TV series, it was only implied Invincible met Batman.
As for Spider-Man, they only showed his hand in the Invincible comic and the actual crossover with him and Avengers was shown in one of the issues of Marvel Team-Up (the only issue of this comic that I've ever read, by the way), also written by Robert Kirkman.
And last but not least, I dunno much about the Tick (I only watched the live-action show on Prime Video) but I remember he didn't appear in the Invincible comic (unless I somehow forgot about it) so the crossover had to happen in the Tick comic.

@@DawidCiszewski1 I know all that I'm just surprised it ended that long. But than again, Marvel and DC are still going.

@@astravisionstudiosYeah, I'm also excited for S3, S4 and other potential seasons (btw. Robert Kirkman said that the show will probably need 7-8 seasons to fully adapt the comic but if they'll be able to do it and Prime Video will still want to work with them after, it might go even longer; personally I wouldn't mind this series potentially going beyond the comic run as long as it'll be good, of course), and for the recently announced Battle Beast comic which will start in April (I'm not sure, if I'll be able to read it at launch tho) 😉
