Managing Continuous Integration with DevPanel and AWS - Will Kirchheimer - Esteemed Lunch and Learn

The last decade has brought amazing progress into to software standardization and automation. While coding standards have pushed forward, the expectation for the development environments has shifted in remarkable ways. Most of the code houses have moved away from individual WAMP/LAMP environments for developer work, opting for containerized options like docker, and even helper apps like Lando & DDEV.
At the server hosting level, we have moved from the “precious little thing” approach to server stand up, to scripted “build on demand” containers. The ability to spec, edit, and audit, servers with reproducible results has resulted in a fundamental shift in our approach to website serving applications.
The walled gardens of major hosting companies provide automated systems to manage these containers and often continuous delivery + build systems. AWS world provides you with excellent highly configured container environments. The management systems for this (and other container systems) often require a very high level of technical training and engagement.
In this presentation we are going to be focusing on the configuration management system DevPanel by setting up a drupal build cycle in github. By the end of this presentation you'll learn how to start:
