- Competing in my Second Pro Tournament in a stack class of more than 15 pullers was pretty epic. Honestly an experience to remember an learn from. So much more to improve on but I caught up with olf friends and met a lot of great new people.

Dude in 1st place had strength and near perfect technique.
He has a short arm so it's very tough to beat inside the hook position. Best way to beat him would be to toproll, but he likely has a strong wrist curl to stop people from hammer curling back into his fingers. The battle comes down to his wrist curl versus your pronation.

@@IamRemoWilliams When armwrestlers say pronation they're referring to the rotation of the wrist and your ability to keep your wrist from being rotated to a palm towards your face position. Like imagine you're holding a cup of water. You want that cup of water to be poured towards your opponents side and not get turned over to where the water is spilling out on your losing side.

Idk if pushing up is apart of training if it is I recommend doing calisthenics.
It's super tough on the body and should give you the edge you need to pass these guys.

Well done. Stephanyan is #2 in the USA in the 155lb class. Im right there at that limit so Im hoping to join that class also. Although I havent been to a tournament yet, I plan to in the coming months. I know Ill be ready, so maybe we will meet at the table 1 day. Im in the Southwest USA so itd probably have to be a big competition for that to happen.
I have confidence Ill make it to that level, itll just take dedication to lifting, table time, & constantly looking to improve every facet of my game. I look forward to watching your journey as well.
Well done. Love all the inside pulling. Funny how many levels there are to the sport. Often, a 10-15% difference is a whole other level, yet it looks like a 100-200% difference. 💪🏻 Your patience, also is a great tool.
10-15% is actually big ngl (its the difference between ET and the Kane guy in hook RH)
ET and the guy on red is at least 5-10% difference (LH) IN Right hand theyre 5% at least

Those Armenian pullers are on another level of strength (Armenian in US competition: Vrezh, this Davit Stepanyan, and another guy in same weightclass with Oleh Moisei which I forgot name. 3 of them are incredible for their class. Vrezh seems like in middle weight now).
Vrezh is in welterweight i think for now and hes world level in that class (LH tho)
@@yoink9595 Vrezh competed in like 85kg or somewhere around that in some US competitions. He is no longer 75kg class like he was in WAF years.

Shorts arms have a lot of side pressure, so going into a hook with a short arm is a bad idea. ET did the right thing by toprolling, but since the short guy was able to get the strap, the straps make it harder to manipulate his hand and goes to the short guy's favor.
