I think what people don’t understand is RCS isn’t “moving iMessage to Android” it’s literally just allowing the information to reach “green bubbles” similar to other iOS users and the information received from “green bubbles” aren’t terrible and lower resolution.

Until enough people stop supporting Apple’s practices, they have no reason to change. I don’t blame Apple. Why would they accept RCS? More and more people, at least in the US, cave into the pressure and get an iPhone with iMessage being one of the main reasons.
I believe iMessage has to be like 70 percent of the reason. It was one of the only reasons I tried a 13 cause I was having issues texting someone with a iPhone with my pixel. Now not even a year later I can’t wait to have a daily driving android again. Possibly the s23 ultra. I just can’t stand the apple ecosystem no matter how strong their chips are. The one thing they are doing good in is battery life and some optimization and I say some cause I’ve seen many iOS bugs
this seems to be a US thing though. in other countries people are using other platforms that work on Android and Apple, so iMessage gets pretty irrelevant.

Another Reason to not buy an iPhone
The biggest reason is the carelessness of our planet not allowing to repair the phones and just to buy a new phone instead of fixing it. 2nd is the total disregard to people's information and not having encryption for their own users when texting android. Not only do they downgrade messages they remove any security because apple users don't deserve their information to be secure
We don't want iMessage from overpriced phones... We are happy with other options available out there...

RCS is causing message failures for me😢😢😢😢
Same here bro, that's because the person you're texting doesn't have it which in turn causes the fail messages. The only way to combat this problem is to convert the rcs messages into regular text messages which itself is a pain.

Wow, good job with the short. Too bad I switched to Apple and left the Android ecosystem.
I hate to say it; but imessage makes all the difference. I had three back to back galaxy phones s20-s22 and I loved them, I literally did not want to switch back. But my wife, and whole family have iPhones, videos, pictures EVERYTHING looked terrible because of me in group chats etc. Hard not to cave after a certain point.
Typical snobby Iphone "elites".
I'll just enjoy my "peasant" android phone with its laser projector, infrared camera, 12+10gb of ram, 1tb of expandable sd card, shockproof, waterproof, 15500mah battery in the corner here.
Only RCS Never delivers, Ever. I have a Pixel 7 and 90% of the time when msg is sent RCS it tells me, Much Later, msg wasn't sent yet. I finally turned it off. I don't want it back on until Google fixes it for good
Everything was perfect until you said “the latest texting infrastructure…” it’s been around since 2008 and it actually allows Apple users to be part of the bigger ecosystem and not the other way around. When making these videos the narrative should stay the same. Thanks for your update😁

Apple doesn't want to do it because if they allowed those features cross platform they would lose so much AZ they know Android is far more superior. The iPhone would definitely become the phone our parents use. Lmao.

I remember hearing this way back in 2016 and it took this long to become mainstream. I left android back in 2019 because too many people had iPhones to make holding out practical.
It’s stupid though america and Canada seems to be the only place this matters. If you need people to message you only through a native app cause it’s more convenient it makes you wonder who are the people your dealing with in life
@@robmalcolm8042 it’s for school homie. Not people I actually like. All the major school group chats in my school are iMessage. It’s wildly more convenient than standard text message. When you exceed like 10 people in a group chat, half the time messages are dropped or lost.
@@RiceCubeTech I understand the advantages of iMessage I have both platforms and can compare but to me android is a better platform for what your able to do on it. And the reason it is this way is cause of apple they make money keeping people with a iPhone and iMessage so that’s why they are making it harder

It's not like whatsapp is free, and has existed since the very start of smartphones or anything.
@@wyterabitt2149 getting everyone I know to use WhatsApp is harder than just buying an iPhone. WhatsApp is really popular worldwide but hardly anyone in the states use it since we have almost 80 percent utilization of Apple products for phones.

So how about new GSM phones from Nokia/Doro/... - do they have RCS?!?
RCS will be dead when not compatible...
By the way: that's why MMS did NOT suceed - you never received the message that was send ... it was altered/cut/compressed? So not usable
You know RCS is not secure by default? That’s a reason Apple doesn’t support it. Also RCS is a 90’s communications standard from the 90’s when we chatted on computers.
Nothing beats iMessage keep on the app because of it. Powerful.
