thanks for the vid, i don't want to install a new gas cap, but it showed me how i can remove the gascap to clean that space underneath. cuz just like you, my OCD wants to go clean that area haha. To put the stock gas cap back, its the same proces but in reverse is assume? that black "o-ring" cant be placed wrong since it is attached to the gas cap part with screws i noticed. correct me if i'm wrong before i go unscrew that thang.
I wonder if they make a cap for a 20 year old Kawasaki ? I have a 2003 Kawasaki ZRX1200R . Water has been getting in the upper lip under my gas cap. I clean it out with a paper towel but I definitely don’t want water getting down in my tank and it sucks having to put something on top my gas tank to prevent scratches from my keys every time I get gas.
Great video! Seem like that takes longer to removed than just my key. The key can be a nuisance but there’s that peace of mind people aren’t going to mess with it.
hi is it not under vaccume..as i thought the stock one was? some off these other brands come with some type off hose that comes off the cap for venting..but im not sure ?thanks
Is the link shared the exact gas cap you purchased? Silly question maybe but both revzilla and cycle gear state it’s not compatible. *updated. Called Vortex and they confirmed it fits. Part number GC610. They’re asked Revzilla to update compatibility.*
Always spending a good time watching your videos :) Concerning the cap itself, it looks difficult to open especially with gloves... do you really think the design on point? Cheers and keep doing what you do.
Really cool and thanks for watching 🙏 means a lot. But I really don’t think it will be an issue. I usually take off my right glove to access my debit card and to operate the pump. So for me, probably not. But if you wear thicker gloves and plan not to remove them then probably yes. I’ll try tomorrow.
Hey, so I’m breaking down here and will probably get this now. How well does it fit in the bike. Is everything even without a larger gap on one side, etc? Basically, does it fit perfectly within the hole in the tank? Thanks man and keep up these badass videos. I’ve already bought most of what you’ve shot 😂
Fits perfectly well. No leaks. Works great :) that’s great :) I love the parts I’ve selected I know you will too. Thanks for watching the channel. Ride safe :)
The R3 is my Lady’s bike, she would be pissed if I got another bike and sold the R3. I bought it for her last year because she wanted to pop wheelies lol but, when she out grows it I’m a make it a little track bike so if I lay it down, no worries lol
Thanks for the vid! Not replacing my cap but I am going to attempt to wrap my tank so wanted to be able to get into this bit

Pretty much you got it. I’ve actually taken it off before and cleaned it as well on my R1 lol so I can relate.
Another great video! Will be purchasing this for my 2021 mt09

Prefer the OEM fuel cap. Good stuff though. 👍🏻

How do you get the key out after you take the gas cap off?
You have to push up on the bottom of the lid. It’s like a pressure switch. Happened to me to.

Bruh how do you get the key out of the gas cap after it’s been taking off????
When going on cycle trader for the gas cap. What did you put for the motorcycle and year? Want to make sure I order the right one
You can do the Yamaha MT09 2019. Same part number. Thanks for watching the channel.
Do you know what size the bolts are for the gas cap?
No. I’m sorry. I just reused the factory screws I believe.
i had this on my 2017 and the cap sucks because it constantly is hard to take out because the threads are mediocre
Definitely can see that down the road.
They redesigned this cap, the threads are now much more coarse and are a major improvement over the previous versions.
@@SGJamo did not know that. Thank you. This is the only aftermarket cap I've ever owned. It's been pretty good thus far. Thank you for watching.
Hello , I have a question this vortex gas cup is it the new series?
Well the newest on Cycle gears website for sure.

@@yamayari8351 Awesome, thanks. What year and model Yamaha did you order for that fit the 2021 MT-09?
@@madrat5176 2018 R1. But that cap fits 2015-21 Yamaha R1 and 2016-21 Yamaha R6.

Hey so how did you take your key out of the og gas cap
Push the bottom of the cap up. Like squeezing it an turn the key at the same time.
Have you got any loose of fuel with no gasket installed?
No gasket? It has some sort of o-ring on the bottom. So no, not at all.
@@yamayari8351 I would mean the gasket like the one on the stock cap. Ok, so thank you, I like it very much!
@@ricky_rage yes. No leaks ever even when you fill it up. Thank you for watching the channel 🙏
why u have a r3 and r1 like sell the r3 anb buy idk me like a gsxs-1000 or ninja h2 no ??
why would someone named yamayari buy a suzuki or kawasaki?
@@dennismg35 sur but why not a tracer or just something els than a r3 when u already have a r1
The r1 and r3 are different bikes for different purposes.

Pfff with gloves and key goes better and faster
I'd be terrified people would siphon out gas or throw stuff in
I live in a pretty good area. So not a concern at the moment. But if I travel? I will reinstall the stock oem part for sure.
