    Just installed this on my 2022 Ducati panigale V2 and it is gorgeous! Love the quality and design of the cap and the videography on the channel.

    Hey where can I get some of those Rizoma FOR TECHNICAL USE gloves ?

    I bought one of these, it is super expensive BUT quality is definitely what you pay for granted there are no silver options anymore so I would like to see the longevity of the black coloured one once you use a tank bag over it... The choice for me was precisely driven by the key. Le Monographe in my view makes the best fuel caps for classic looking bikes, the Rizoma looks a bit too... Apple iPhone style, the problem is the nicest fuel cap I was tempting by do not have a key. That's a major bummer for me and the reasons are simple:
    1/ I own a BMW R-nine T, it is not a race bike, I don't ride on racetracks, I don't need quick access to the tank
    2/ People's behaviour is getting worst by the day, almost feral at times. Out of a minor grudge, sheer jealousy, dishonesty, boredom or drunkenness', they will temper with your stuff if you give them a chance. Do you know what a piece of sugar does to your engine when you cannot notice it and start your engine for a ride? It totals it entirely. You will be the owner of the World's most expensive sugar pot. I have caught cowardly people scratching cars for no apparent reason, people have stolen parts on my cars overnight (wipers, headlight washer jets, etc), someone smashed what appears to be a crowbar on my rooftop, I don't know why, maybe because I parked in front of their house for a week or because they walked past it and got bored... It is factual: we live in an era where assisted lefties are plenty and they don't believe in work, saving money and gain access to property even through work, especially through work - until they become owner themselves. On the question, why not AliExpress? I have bought some stuff there typically skid plate and such which worked great where looks and finish are not required over function and robustness but when it comes to oil and especially fuel cap, I would not buy a cheap one, it does not have to be Rizoma and in fact it is the first Rizoma product I have ever bought, the most expensive stuff I bought before that was a Wunderlich oil cap to replace the plastic factory BMW one but there are not that many fuel cap options out there and all look racing oriented. Maybe if you have a Ducati Monster it makes sense but the racing style does not fit a neo-retro or café racer. Water leakage or intrusion to fuel tank are a receipt for disaster, so AliExpress was out of question. The look of the Rizoma is clean albeit too "geeky" for my taste but it is the quality, the fit, ease of installation and security that won me over. Had Le Monographe proposed a similar key option, I would have bought their fuel cap hands down. For BMW R-Nine T owners, at some point you won't have a choice, the factory cap is pretty weak both inside out, after 6 years of usage it needed urgent replacement for me.

    I don’t see the advantage of this cap. So now you have to carry a special key just to open the gas cap? You’re just making people carry a 2nd unnecessary key. Usually one changes out the gas cap to avoid using the ignition key that ALREADY OPENS THE GAS CAP. Epic FAIL

      Then you are clearly uneducated. The risk of key manipulation is insanely high with opening a OEM fuel cap. Keys have broken so many times.
      The other types of easy fuel caps have no lock or safety, and thus are prone to tempering or people stealing the cap(read this enough on forums). So this gives easy acces, with a layer of protection and without risk of your key breaking.

      @@zerozerozero_0 uneducated? I don’t see why this means I’m uneducated. I don’t see the advantage of carrying and potentially losing a key that is unnecessary. Risk of key manipulation? If you have trouble with your keys, you have more problems than you think my friend. If you can’t handle a key, who is uneducated?

      @@luislozano7947 because you can’t see the pro’s of this tank cap? So you clearly have no idea of the negatives that this cap tackles. I tried telling you, keys breaking and also having some security against people stealing caps or messing with tanks. Not sure what else i can tell you. Do some research perhaps if you think i’m talking crap.

      This isn't for lazy people that want less steps to open their tank. This is for the quality, look and aesthetic. Maybe you would be better off with a cheaper brand. Maybe something carbon fiber like everyone else

    • @luislozano7947
      @luislozano7947 Рік тому

      @@Daddydeathv2 I never mentioned anything about people being lazy or the price of this cap. Again, I don’t see the advantage of carrying another (smaller) key that can potentially be lost/dropped somewhere and can also break just like the OEM key that others are talking about.
      And I don’t like the carbon fiber look either.

    Is the same thing as $50 aliexpress ones?

      Almost the same, different opening mechanism. The AE version doesn't require any key; it's a twist-to-open fuel cap, just like how you open a water bottle. It's preferable for racing or track use bcs it's a little bit lighter and faster to open. The Rizoma version requires a key. The benefit? It's aesthetically pleasing, made of better material (maybe), and saves some weight. You be the judge.

      No I’ve bought one and it doesn’t seal or close like Rizoma and although this comes with a key you can just push down and use your fingers , if your a man about it .
      Ali express one I received is poor quality and you can still smell fuel and it would leak in a spill !

      Maybe you would be better off with some cheaper brand. The aesthetic and feel is a huge factor in the appeal for this brand.
