  • Our latest adventure school trip took us to the Cookshack factory in Ponca City, Oklahoma. This company has been in business over 50 years and they offer both commercial and residential lines of electric smokers, pellet smokers, charbroil grills, and pizza ovens. Company President and CEO, Stuart Powell, took us on a tour of the factory floor where we learned how they use lean manufacturing techniques to produce high quality cooking equipment.
We saw equipment like laser cutters and press brakes and we learned about inventory control and the R&D concept of “failing fast and failing cheap”.
We hoped to learn about smokers and grills and we learned so much more about manufacturing and running a manufacturing operation.
    Thanks Cookshack!

Great place! If we worked there our stomachs would be growling all the time because of the hint of smoke in the air.

I bought a small smoker 20 years ago and I love the smoke flavor it produces. I also bought a pellet smoker from Trager 6 years ago and I was never happy with the smoke flavor it produced in the food, I finally gave it away because I was so unhappy with it. I'll never buy another pellet smoker they just don't put enough smoke flavor in the meats. Cookshack makes a great product.

Great video. Just picked up the SM160 for our bbq kitchen in London, England. Interesting to see where it was made

Thanks for checking it out. We were just in London a couple of months ago. Alex will be excited to see your comment and hear that you have a Cookshack smoker.

Have A model 150RC built in 1999. Smoked some pork tenderloin on it today. Still works great, can not find A better smoker.
