Rogue is a big reason why Strongman is getting more popular!! The amount of coverage is fantastic!! Appreciate it so much and these guys are just awesome competitors!!
Seeing Mitchel Hooper run with weights, and Shahlaei overhead up, despite having good overhead strength, is something else. If he doesn't wreck himself, and limits the hardcore lifts, like his log lifts here at ASC, sky is the limit, he has such good end to end power.
@@japanesecar1501 definitely, Pavlo has amazing potential too, if he didn't get injured I think he would have done very well on the stone throw and timber carry along with the deadlift.
@@Tomm5997 Yeah, Pavlo is like Eddie and Mariusz fused, exceot Mariusz was just so hardcore and could take it, he was blessed with being able to grind, and not have a heartattack. If Pavlo keeps the health, and keeps mobile, he looks like the most powerful guy overall, except for probably Hafthor. He's got it all, strong shoulders, height and stride, solid sized hands and a giid grip, and he has a grabby wingspan for medleys and stones.
Absolutely magnificent to see these strong behemoths flex their strength and endurance on one of the most iconic structures in history. Nostalgic to see the whole thing and remembering Conan the Barbarian played by the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger. Wonderful and totally respect these men of strength. Wish I could be like them
I have never seen someone so hard on themselves and disappointed in themselves as mateusz winning the Wheel of pain. “I am very disappointed that I didn’t absolutely smoke these guys”
Love seeing Kearney in trail running shoes! They have really tacky rubber and lugs to help runners “dig into the mountain”. Perfect for this kind of event, been putting it in strongman comments for years!
I am really confused by how feet ticker on the screen has no bearing on final numbers when measured. It is off by like 15-20 feet from "final". Something for them to work on in the future.
It is so weird watching Magnus walking with this chalk stick or whatever it is to put a mark for the distance. It is 2023. Can't they use electronic devices to measure the distance or even a laser light pointing directly to the floor with the scale???
this event is ruining the sport. every competitor is so tired after pushing this contraption, they underperform on staples like the log or the deadlift. terrible. i hate it.
I tend to agree, I hated seeing it at worlds. I feel like if their was a vehicle pull instead of this that year (2021?) Brian would have beat Tom for 1st but the spectacle of this is what they’re chasing I guess. As if pulling a plane isn’t cool enough?! The vehicle pull or arm over arm is so much more classic strongman but that also is going to fatigue deadlift and everything from fatigue. It’s competition and that’s part of it is resiliency and endurance. Don’t you think every athlete would perform better if they stopped having WSM in sunny/ 90 degrees and humid locations every single year? That’s torture for people who are competing at 325+ pounds!!!
You're right, tho in order to have a complete test of strength you need some endurance event with high load, whether it's deadlift for reps or squat. Tho Arnold always had deadlift (last year squat) for max and you cant have both deadlift and squat in one competition. I think conans wheel does its job and tbh it's just a beautiful implement. And you know, you can't test athletes strength and not tire them in the process. Events in the begining will always affect the later events, some more some less.
Every event will tire the athletes a little bit. Coping with exhaustion is also a test of strength. Doing The Log after The Wheel means that the athletes can't use as much leg drive. I love this event.
These immediate free uploads are superb! Rogue is simply the best, you guys should run the WSM as well, would be so much better!
WSM is a joke compared to Rouge/the arnold
Yes I enjoy that they show all performances!!
Bjt6,
Rogue is a big reason why Strongman is getting more popular!! The amount of coverage is fantastic!! Appreciate it so much and these guys are just awesome competitors!!
Why can't the WSM provide the same next day coverage as the Arnolds and Rogue invitational?

Mateusz has become so much better at english!! Great to see! Awesome that he is back
Thanks a lot for the upload! Only thing I would like (as well as last year) is to put metric values, along with the imperial ones.
If Mateusz can get his static strength back and improve on his deadlift, he will be unstoppable.

Nakonechnyy looks like a DBZ character with that huge shoulder span.
That boi W I D E
30:24 you can see the laser pointing down further than they're marking the distance from tom, why?
29:09 because he kept pushing after 60 seconds, he stopped marking further at the end of the time limit so that extra bit doesn't count.
Makes me wonder if there are any Sumo training techniques that would help with the Wheel of Pain.
Trey killed it

The men's event videos are getting 10x the views 😂
15:17 His hand was well off the ropes there... judges didn't catch it.
I want to know what happened with Trey Mitchel, why did he pause?
It looked like one of his calves cramped up. I could be wrong though.
Rob's beard really is magnificent!
This is from Conan , right?
I don't know why they don't have a downward-facing laser on the end of the pole for measurements.
to get ready for this competition we need to pull a SUV up hill everyday
So are we just gonna ignore the fact that Kevin Faires is packing the whole baking industry?

This event is an SOB. 45 seconds, or even 30 would be plenty. 60 takes so much out of the competitors they don't do as well on following events.

Petition to replace Kiki Dixon with Auntie Liz
Why does a bodybuilder have his name on a "strongman" show?
Because the competition is held at the expo that arnold created
Martins is already beat up and taking off again. Love the guy but maybe retirement time. Just saying
@@YetAnotherRetardedYTUpdate yeah I get it but it just seems to me like he always is out because of some injury or overuse issue. Love the guy though.
If Rob Kearney put in as much hard training as he does dying his beard to match his fruity outfits, he could actually compete.
As cool as it looks on stage, this is a boring event to watch. Just sayin

Terrible take. Every event tires out the athletes, and it's up for the athletes to be for enough to recover.
