Awesome video
21 for 21! Finally learning to play at 63, and have a couple of Billy Joel’s and Elton John’s down pretty well. We old farts have the advantage of hearing and knowing these songs when they came out!
Nicely done, Chris. Impressive. And it's never too late to learn. Way to go!
I tested myself on how quickly I could identify each song.

I love it!
Aw man you failed Saturday by Chicago
Great job!!! We had fun with this!!
I'm 16 and I got 8 right. I love 70's and 80's. I think I did well for my generation
You're right. I have 2 teenagers who didn't come close to getting 8 correct. Way to go!
@@manlymoments8544 thx. Good piano skills. I have a hard time playing one song let alone that many.
Matt Lemley You’re too kind. I’m glad to be able to entertain people.
Just turned 17 and got 20 out of 21
I'm 16 and got all right... I feel good
Nicely done. Impressive!
That was excellent! Thank you!
Only missed one, thought it was Your So Vain instead of It's Too Late. Great Job, very enjoyable to hear the Oldies and Goodies...!
Nice job. You know your music well!
🎉🎉that was fun@
I'm 16... but I hate all the latest music... my mother, born 1970 showed me all those songs...
I know almost every song and I love them! 😍😎
Yes, the 70's had a lot of good piano driven songs. I'm not much on the latest music either:)
The 70’s seems to be some of the best years to have lived through, entertainment wise anyway
Got all twenty plus the the bonus and all before the song names were flashed! Thanks!
Nicely done. Obviously you know your music! Pretty quick on the draw!
I've been trying to find the name of the song Bennie and the jets for ages by searching through 70s soft rock play lists. I could have just listened to the Elton John greatest hits album that I have. 😂 Anyway thanks for helping me find it.
Your playing is awesome!
U are the best
I’m 16 and i love the old classics. I only got 12 but not that bad so :D
Way to go! That's a better score than most adults!
It’s encouraging to hear of younger people getting into the older music. Keep listening to the ‘70s songs. You’ll discover thousands more gems like these. It really was an incredible era for music.
I’m 18 and I got 14/22 I got the bonus 🤙 EDIT: And I got December 1963 😂
That's impressive! Way to go.
Great picks! Only stumped me on it’s too late
NIcely done!
Good picks! Gotta throw in some Gilbert o Sullivan sometime!
instantly recognised about 18 of them, couple never heard of. great video
Most of these came from the genre that was then called Album Oriented Rock and is now known as Classic Rock. I think the one exception was "Lean on Me". There were a lot of great 1970s piano songs in the R&B and Pop genres by artists such as Stevie Wonder, the Carpenters, Neil Sedaka, and Barry Manilow. Plus that great instrumental "Music Box Dancer" by one-hit wonder Frank Mills. Neil Diamond was not usually a piano-oriented artist, but his hit duet with Barbra Streisand, "You Don't Bring Me Flowers", is a pretty good piano song.
Yeah, we don't hear many songs like that in today's market.
Id love to learn how to play a number of those tunes, gonna take a lot of practice :)
You can do it. Just one tune at a time:)
Soo many sounded soo familiar but couldn't set my finger on it
Great work. Do you teach people how to play those songs? Perfect belnd between picking up what was actually played on the album, and adding the melody where needed! Way better than standard sheet music. Got all of the songs - just means I need more to do.
I've never had anyone ask me to teach them these songs (perhaps that could be another video in the future:) I played in a band for several years when I was in college and have been able to pull together different piano licks and make them work as a medley. Nice work on getting them all correct! See how you do this week, as I'm planning on releasing another quiz with piano songs from the 80s. Thanks for your kind words.
What can’t you do? Amazing and fun!
Aren't weighted keys awesome? I just bought my new Yamaha Keyboard and I forgot how much they felt like playing a piano. Weighted Keys have a certain sound that I love to hear. So far I'm eight out of eight but let's continue.
12 and 13 plus the bonus
I'm 16 I'm kinda proud of my self kinda bummed I didn't get the other ones I knew like the Eric Clapton, Chicago ones and Paul McCartney but otherwise I'm proud of myself
Well done! I was hoping you'd include Colour My World by Chicago, that is a really distinctive piano-based hit, although not a #1.
Thanks, and yes, Colour My World is a great song!
Got all 21 🙂
That's super impressive!
Does anyone know of a 70's instrumental that begins and ends with an airplane sound effect?
Only got 12 and the bonus, that's just because I'd never heard the other songs before.
Last one and I am singing.
17 out of 20
It doesn't surprise me. You're a rocker at heart.
Can you play, Flight of the Bumblebee?
I used to be able to play that, but it's been many years ago.
The only piano song I love hearing is the Jean Nate After Bath Splash piano song "Jean Nate for a Beautiful Day"
I got 15 right
Nicely done.
If they ever reboot Bewitched, this guy should be cast as Darrin Stevens'. He's a drop dead ringer for the part. Or maybe he could be the grown up Adam Stevens, The son of Darrin who followed in his Fathers footsteps and became a catchy jingle writer for a social media ad agency.
First time I've ever heard that one:)
17 the other 3 are from bands i didn't like :)
Great job!
piano man
19/21
Super impressive!
Wound up here looking for any clues as to what a couple songs I literally don't know the name of are... figured maybe someone in the comments could help if they heard either of these:
(* indicating higher note) D B A D* ---- D* D* D* D* D* C3 C3 A# A#
and
C2 E F E D F# G* G
Used some tiny piano I found in a game with the option to have these shown, so I quickly got it down before I forgot them. If anyone recognizes these (provided you have access to any piano online or in real life) that'd be awesome!
I'm not sure what song that is. It's hard to figure out without knowing the timing or rhythm. Let me know if someone gets it right.
