    I got a few comments about Silexan regarding people questioning the efficacy of this product. A recent meta analysis confirmed the same information provided in this video, that Silexan has an effect size of 0.86 which is considered large for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). To put this in perspective SSRIs have an effect size of 0.33 which is considered low for GAD. Bottom line is Silexan is proven to work and work well in randomized controlled trials and in a meta analysis. Hope this helps

      Hey Doc, have you had any reports of low libido in males with Silexan use? It could be due to other contributing factors but definitely notice a difference after using Silexan for 3 weeks. It does help with anxiety for sure

    Just hearing about this Silxan and it sounds good. Being someone who has tried everything non pharma for anxiety and particularly social anxiety including magnesium l threonate,5-htp etc. without real success, I tend to be more sceptical now. My question is,as I am now on 100mg Fluvoxamine,do you think it would be O.K to mix the two? Always up for trying something new. 👍

It cause indigestion with burps that taste like lavender (no joke). thats another reason I recommend using it at night. You can take it first thing in the morning and with or without food. If you dose it in the morning I would eat first then take it to reduce the risk of lavender burps. If you haven’t subscribed already, please do, and spread the word about what we are doing here.

    you mentioned that silexan can cause gynecomastia in young boys and not in adult men, but could it still inhibit testosterone or have estrogenic effects in adult men ? also would in theory its mechanism of action cause/worsen mania ? thanks in advance :)

    • @ShrinksInSneakers
      @ShrinksInSneakers  Рік тому +1

      This is not medical advice as I am not your doctor, you should always consult your doctor before making any changes to medication or treatment. Information provided is for educational purposes only. The studies show that lavender oil and tee tree oil seen in beauty products can interfere with estrogen levels in young males. In adolescents these levels fluctuate a lot more than in adult populations. Thats why it's important to talk about in younger males. For adults it likely has the same effect but how clinically relevant it is in adults is debatable

    Hello Doctor have you treated patients with or heard of PPPD dizziness? It’s related to panic/anxiety and the only treatment option is SSRI. I was prescribed Lexapro but I’m scared to take it because of side effects like sexual side effects. I also have anxiety/panic along with the PPPD so I guess I will have to bite the bullet and try the SSRI as it can also help for the anxiety. I have had the PPPD dizziness for 5 years already.
