    Nice...I just made one using 3 plastic bottles as a wrap with 6 Li-Ion cells from a laptop battery pack 8040mAh.
    Charging module 22.5w with PD. It's very nice.🥰

    Thank you for sharing ideas! 🥰 Does it need BMS?

      No need BMS because the batteries are connected in parallel 1S 4P

    Блет, на питание нужно брать провода от китайский наушников, там всего-то потребление с АКБ больше 4 А тока, а то росточительсто такое использовать такие толстые провода))

    I saw your 12v7ah to 12v16ah conversion and it got me thinking can i use that on a motorcycle with electric starter will it last long? also on this build will it produce heat if I upgrade the battery pack to 20000 mah. thank you very much for the tutorials it helps a lot instead of buying a power bank that has sands on it.

      You should really use LiFeP04 cells. A123 M1B’s are good for engine starting since they can burst 120A. Your typical 32700’s will probably need several in parallel.
      As long as the location of the battery does not get above 50C it should last quite a long time but you need to measure the charging voltage to make sure that your bike isn’t putting out more than 14.4-14.6V to charge the battery.
      You also MUST include a BMS otherwise your cells will overcharge instantly. The BMS must be rated for the starting current. I think ANT or Heltec makes a good one.
      A 4S2P pack would be tiny and should have no problem starting your bike but a 4S4P pack would last long and would be less likely to fail if you left your lights on because the BMS will cut out around 8V so not enough to start your bike but not low enough to kill the cells. 4P gives you 10Ah and more than enough starting current (12V @480A only if your connections can support that)
      A123 are hard to spot weld and solder so buy a pack you can cut 4S4P out of don’t use raw cells

    Still I prefers having a BMS in case 1 cell is overcharged. Is more secure with BMS.

      It doesn't heat up at all and I'm very happy with the PCB. by the way, I didn't know that the Type C port works in both directions, that is, as PD

      This pcb use synchronous buck boost converter and its very efficient it cannot produce heat so mach so that is ok

    When i try charging with the type c input there is no blue light indication and battery led percentage keeps on blinking rapidly. Why?

    • @ErCanEverything
      @ErCanEverything  5 місяців тому +1

      What is the voltage across B+ and B-?

    • @giovanninongbri2250
      @giovanninongbri2250 5 місяців тому +1

      @@ErCanEverything my battery is 3.7V 2600mAh and it's showing 4.1V only across B+ and B- but no indication that it is fast charging.

    • @ErCanEverything
      @ErCanEverything  5 місяців тому +1

      With only one 2600mAh battery, I don't think it will be able to charge quickly. Because to convert 12V x 1.5A = 18W, the battery must provide 3.7V x 4.86A = 18W. With only 1 cell you cannot achieve this. The module may be trying to switch to QC mode, but when the battery voltage drops, it suddenly remains in standard charging.
