One thing that everyone may not know….. animals that have higher birth rates have a higher death rate also. So, since pigs have larger litters, they absolutely have a larger death rate, especially when they are newly born. Mom can’t always see where she’s lying etc. You guys are doing so good with the animals. You have grown so much since taking over the property. On another note, if I were you, I would definitely consider moving to another location. I love Morrow Hill, but the flood risk, all the riff-raff across the road and parasite risk are just taking such a toll on everything/everyone. I do understand LE’s heart is there. It’s so tough giving up such a legacy as Morrow Hill.
That's nature - nothing you can do about it. The other five are happily enjoying the milk bar, lol. That warning "bark" of a pig can be darn loud and scary! I had a wild hog "bark" at me one time, when I was walking my dog in the middle of the night. That darn hog was right outside my apartment complex, and I did not see it until it sounded off the alarm, lol. It ran away after my dog barked right back, lol. A friend of mine has an observation camera (for pets) in her apartment, so she can keep an eye on her crazy tomcat when she's at work (that camera also has a microphone, so she can tell him off via the app on her phone). She puts together a collection of "Funnies of the week" each Sunday.
I am so sorry you guys lost one piglet losing an animal at any age is so so sad but just know you have five beautiful piglets to warm up your days. Congrats Wilma. I’m hoping some of the piglets stay around Morrow Hill so exciting to watch their adventures as they grow. Love my farm family.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so sorry you lost one of the piglets. Wilma is a great momma. Please get the male pigs fixed right away. Especially now that it’s cool weather. God bless and love from Canadice NY ❤
Meg and LE sorry for your loss of one of the piglet. There's always a reason it happened. Wilma and the piglets are adorable and sweet I just love them. When I was a little girl I had a pig named sugarbabe she had 13 piglets. I was able to go in by her and love sugarbabe and her piglets
It’s always sad to lose a baby but sometimes it happens, it’s a part of farm life. They’re adorable and will have a wonderful life whoever takes them, you’ll make sure of it Thanks for the update.❤️🇨🇦
They are so adorable I especially like the black one ive always had a soft spot for the oddballs and the runts of the litter he/she reminds me of pig newton when he was that little❤
Morning Megan sometimes what happens is one of the babies in the womb for some reason doesn’t get as much nutrition from the mom as the other ones do so they tend to be a little bit slower and growth. Sorry about losing one of them, but yes, you do have five beautiful little piglets there.
I forgot about LE’s onesie until you mentioned in your live last night. I have to go and research it. I’m an hour later and fell sleeping watching. I’ve done that watching Lester. It repeating until my phone died. Only problem is I start dreaming about who is talking. Ever had a dream about longhorns? That can talk? Thats woken me up!
Lester had a pig that liked to go around the hill visiting like Wilma, gave Jami fits when she first visited. They are very social animals and it doesn't surprise me. I once got to visit with a pot belly pig from next door when I went to a friends BBQ. She was cute.
So sorry about the loss of the baby. I would say about the names, if you already have designated who is going to who, maybe that new owner can name them now. I sure hope you keep the dark little girl.
I saw another post this week of someone in your group suggesting to name them after the Flintstone crew. I totally love that idea :) Fred and Barney for the boys and the girls Betty, Pebbles and Pearl :)
The way they keep moving to the back nipples wonder if her milk is not flowing freely to all of the nipples it does happen just a thought. Sorry about the loss of little one guys. Have a good night and may your days be blessed stay safe and warm
Hi Megan and LE, nothing you can do about losing on of the piglets, thats why they have so many-nature takes care of her babies and has been doing that for a long time-this will mean more food for the others and how nature works
Are all her teats producing milk? The pigletts kept going to the top front(closer to her front leg), sucking then going to fight the others for a teat like those are not producing. I don't know anything about pigs (just dogs) but it worried me the way they acted. Maybe its normal but shoot I have no idea. Just a worried viewer. Thank you for sharing them with us.
My opinion is to name them but don't tell us. When they go to their new home, the next owners will tell their name. Either way, farm life always has ups and downs. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us! 👍😊❤🐖
Many pig breeders use a separator to prevent mom from crushing. They shouldn't snuggle with the mom but rather their own safe space. You can make your own out of wood , too. Hopefully you won't lose any more. I'm so sorry.
Hi Megan. Sorry about the piglet. You can't sit there and babysit them 24/7. I could tell that 1 of them wasn't doing very good. Ya'll are doing a great job with them. It's too bad the one with the long snout wasn't a boy. You could have named him Pinocchio. 😅
Losing a piglet is something that happens all the time with pigs. It could’ve happened to anyone that experienced a pig birth and piglets for the first time. Im relieved the little black one made it. I always fall for the baby that looks different from the rest. I don’t know why. I could care less if you name them and then they move along to another family member and they rename them. That kind of thing doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I expect people to most likely change an animals name once it’s theirs for good.
Mama pigs are notorious for laying on their babies - no blame on you guys at all. They sure are cute.

I am sorry about the loss of one, things happen we have no control over. Wilma is blessed to have you and LE to help her with her little ones.❤

1 for uncle Dan, 1, 1 for Jake, 1 for Bri, and one for Lester and Jami
Your stewardship of the sanctuary is wonderful. Wishing you both the best as always. 🎉❤
You and LE do a fantastic job!! Really enjoy watching! You’re very compassionate about the animals! Gods blessings!❤

Oh my goodness I just LOVE Your little piggies so very much!❤
Sorry for your loss. Sometimes Mum’s accidentally sleep on the babies. We used to have pigs and can talk from experience.
wilma is one busy mother.
Good Morning Megan I'm so happy Wilma and her babies are doing well...have a blessed day.
Wilma says you babies are rough on me. They are so cute 😍
LE , Your outfit is so cute . 😂
You made my day.
Good 35° Sunday morning, LE and Megan from Venus, Texas 🇨🇱 ! Those piglets are really chowing down. The little runt didn't make it 😢 ! ❤
The babies are so cute! They bring back memories of all the time I spent with the baby piggies on my grandparents' farm when I was young.
I'm so in love with the little piglets. I wish LHL could have babies too.
Most momma pigs would attack anyone who messes with their babies.
Willma is being so sweet with you

Awe... 😢😢😢 I'm so sorry. I was so worried about them getting squashed under her.
Perfect way to start the day. 🥰
What sweet babies ❤

Luckily she hasn’t had too many babies. So they will have plenty of milk and should grow fast.
Absolutely adorable enjoy them☺❤

They are cuties! Lester needs a white one to go with his black ones :) 😊
Absolutely! Think Lester will find it hard to turn one down! 😂

I am so sorry you lost a piglet. Do you think Mama might have squashed it?

Ahhh,i pray that you dont lose any of the piglets.but thats how it is.i hope you dont lose anymore.
Was it the runt that passed away
Black marker?
Was it the runt
It’s normal for this to happen with nursing sows. Not always but a lot
Praying the rest are gone to be ok
aw sorry about the piggy loss its typical to from what i se e on other channelsthey sit on them
Hi Megan. Sorry about the piglet. You can't sit there and babysit them 24/7. I could tell that 1 of them wasn't doing very good. Ya'll are doing a great job with them. It's too bad the one with the long snout wasn't a boy. You could have named him Pinocchio. 😅
I did notice the missing baby, sorry about that. Yes be careful a mother sow can be dangerous.

Where's the black one?
Call the little girl Willa for her daddy Wilbur.
Put colored dots on them 🥰
Please keep the little black one 🖤
Pinocchio for the long nose one!
Pippy Longsnout (like Pippy Longstocking!)
I always let the ppl name them 😊
Paint one toenail of each piglet with a nail color and a name or list it as a boy or girl ❤😂❤
Velma for black one..
Unfortunately, sometimes the soww accidentally lies on a piglet. Sad.
Name it snout
Good morning
Oh so sry hun but it is a part of a farm .❤❤
Temporary name Baby Pinocchio
not your fault it happens
