Considering your train is fairly large.. is it working smoothly when checking into train stations etc?
Yup works just fine - a little laggy at times, but everything works perfectly!
My concern is the tightest turns lol

Now integrate this into a Harry Potter Hogwarts map, complete with Station 9 3/4. Would make it truly magical.
Then use immersive portals to get the train out smoothly

So as someone whos messed around with the mod, props to you for putting all that effort in. It took me 4hours to set up a train, and it looks no where near as good.

would be cool to have like platform 9 and 3/4 be in the nether and then the train leaves through a portal and then ends up on a normal track in the overworld so its kinda like magic

Hm, I wonder if trains would work and assemble with some part-blocks, either framed ones, Chisel&Bits's ones or Quark's vertical slabs.
All in order to slightly decrease the walls while keeping the overall shape and footprint

I keep building my trains 5 blocks wide and using trapdoors as walls, maybe I should try making bigger trains like this one.

Personnally I have opted for a more survival friendly scale, limiting the width to 3 blocks with eventual trapdoors or ornaments on the side, 5 blocks high, and roughly 9 to 11 long

This build is really nice, I love the real life locomotive they used for the Hogwarts Express. (Olton Hall, now name Hogwarts Castle) though, this build has 1 problem, there’s no tender. The tender is usually behind the locomotive, it holds coal and water to keep the engine running, though with this engine’s lack of a tender here, realistically, it won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
The train is more than likely powered by passive magic. Hence the lack of a tender.

If I recall correctly, the tender on the Hogwarts Express exists solely as luggage storage

i knew this would happen but allready i thought it would take more time
i like it, the only problem i have with it that the locomotive hasnt a tender (i know im just complaining)
if you are running this on 2 bogeys, dont. there is a trick that you can do, make multiple bogies but dont glue them to the engine. they will become carriages, and in turn you will be able to have multiple bogies and you will be able to have nicer turns with the train.
you can see all the bogeys lol
and this is barely a trick, im pretty sure it tells you in the ponder thing for trains
I know. It is still a trick though, as not many people know about it.
I wish we could use the create mod on 1.19 That would be perfect for my bioshock server since I have shaders and a bioshock texture pack that are unavailable on 1.18.2

How can i connect two carts together? i CANNOT figure it out without making them the same train, wich is based
As in train and wagon? Don't connect the two parts in anyway together, when assemble your train it will create a wagon connection. But it will be seen as 1 train, because the wagons belong to the same train. You can remove a wagon, I seen it on some video. But this is all from what I seen on info videos about the train update. Can't use my computer on the moment because I am busy with my house, and changing rooms. Can't wait to try out this new update! Goodluck with figuring this out.
