Most definitely going to try my oat this way I always buy my oats from the shack at what ever lake I'm fishing at. I use 3 pounds of Oats a can of corn and 5 bottle caps of flavoring and they always tend to try out. Even when I use more liquid they always dry really quick. Thanks for the vid and I will be trying this out soon!!
yeah I used syrup in a different dough bait and it worked to stay on the hook but nothing bit it but I'm fishing right now and I'm getting bites with your recipe
I used oats last night with cherry koolaid and when I made my packbait to go on the hook I used Godzilla and put a couple drops on my hand as I was packing it on the hook and casted out and was reeling in 14.7's I cought a 18.3 and a 16.4 with oats but I used cream style corn instead of corn syrup
We usually use just plain pops straight out of the bag but you can put some flavoring on them... But if you have trouble with them coming off the hook just let them sit in the sun or sit out and get stail and they should be good... When we flavor them we put 2 handfuls of pops in a sandwich bag with 1 cap full of flavoring... Anymore questions just ask i will help you the best i can.
Hey there, Your channel got me so motivated to start my own channel for fishing, I just uploaded my first video, if you ever get time check out the lets go fishing episode 1 video. Thanks subscribed on this channel also.
Josh Vickers they are harder to make you would have to put flour and wheat bran in them if you used syrup. But with steam rolled i just use Soda or lake water to make them.
Patrick Neese I use cream corn in em but hate that they sour. Tried using karo on a recipe for em on UA-cam and no way they would pack was way too dry even doubled the syrup still not even close. I may try the store bought ones see how well they do. How good do they pack compared to something like millet
You say I can't mess it up but I've made it four times and I reel my bait balls back in after 30 mins everytime, what am I doing different I've followed it exactly
@@JCSTEPP85 thats literally impossible. Its syrup and dry oats. As soon as it gets wet it starts breaking. You can try adding a cup of wheat bran/germ to it.
@cracker476 I promise it's not impossible I don't have a reason to lie I'm asking for help lol. If I had taken a pic of one of the balls I'd share it, I will say I added wheat bran to the batch for yesterday and they did break much much better.
Aye Patrick I just got into carp fishing and I’ve been watching all you videos, but anyways I kinda did this but I used oats packet of jello and whole bottle of syrup and it’s really stick but want pack, what could I do to fix this?
bigdking1992 Georgia. R&W is made in North Carolina so its all over the southeast its the main Flavoring company for carp fishing down here in the south.
It will last 12 hours easy but if it dries out just put a little corn syrup in it until it starts packing again... I have had some last 2 weeks as long as they stay dry and don't mold and even then just a bit of syrup and they are fine.
Im guessing you could, just add a little syrup at time to see if it will pack. It should work I mean its still oats at the end of the day.. Try making it the same way as this video just add a small amount of syrup at a time until it starts packing.
Last 2 to 6 days depending on how much syrup and flavoring you use.. But if it dries out and has not got wet or molded you can just add some more syrup and it will pack just as good as it did when you made it.
@@cracker476 so you didn't use any oats in oats carp bait video ? I just wanted to know how big of a tube u used i didnt want the combo to your safe but no just gota be a prick i guess
Dude you need to enunciate better and you need to speak up. I have no idea what the hell that yellow stuff was that you put in there I thought of as a banana. Well I'll tell you what when I do my UA-cam video on car paid which actually has been proven even by a subsidiary Bass Pro Shop which they told me I can put it on their shells for Consignment if I wanted to but thing is it has to be kept refrigerated. I promise you this stuff will outperform anything you have. Give him back home in Ohio we had a carp tournament on the Cuyahoga River because that's where to shop stepped. My buddy believe in corn he did pretty good but I was doing three to his one. Other people had theirs. Mine brought them in and was even pulled in 5 lb catfish on it period in mine if you ever got hungry don't know how good it would taste but fried up in a frying pan. I'm not going to say what's in a right now but I will make it and put it on UA-cam soon. Oh and I couldn't put my stuff in their shop because they had no Refrigeration. It was just like a little corner store but it stopped out with hook Bass Pro in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio.
Volume button! I just watched it on half volume and have no problem! It also says it on the bottle. Stop watching UA-cam on your microwave and you won’t have a problem.
Thanks for watching! Glad I could help.

Wet your hand a little before you pack it
What can I do if i added too much karo
Brandon Morris more oats or a lil flour
How about soybean meal and oatmeal with syrup?

Bettys country store, calyx outdoors or RandW
what do u packing it around
We pack it directly around the hook.. We put a pop or kix which are both a type of cereal on the hook first then pack the bait around it.
