Many thanks Kru Mod for all your great lessons. Let me try this exercise.

2). If he agrees to come to live in Thailand, you will meet him.
3). She can contain herself so little when she meets the guy she likes.

Great lessons. But I don't want people to think I am fluent in Thai when I am not because I think I would mislead them. Having said that, I would like to be able to hold or at least understand a basic conversation in Thai at a dinner table. Plus these ladies are so beautiful, it motivates me to learn.

I grew up speaking and listening to Thai and English so I know how different the semantics and syntax is in both languages. Also literal translation is not possible at all I know as a linguist . 🙏🏻

No further explanation or phonetic transcription required for this, just the spoken text also given inThai writing. For me listening comprehension is by far the most difficult part in Thai language (as soon as you got the basics).

There is no standard when spelling Thai words with English transliteration. The word ครับ is pronounced the "k" with the "rolling R" but in everyday life Thai people often drop the "rolling r" sound when it follows a first consonant. As for the final sound, it is pronounced with close lips - don't let any sound or air come out.
