Metallica’s music provided comfort and solace to misfits, outsiders, they did everything their own way, no video MTV, no radio airplay they charted due to word of mouth and grew from there
Metallica was the first band that made instrumentals something I enjoyed. I never thought much about them until I listened to eighties Metallica. Classical and jazz followed, soon after. I still listen to Metallica, Bach (who Cliff was influenced by to the point of basing the intro to “Damage, Inc.” on his music) and Miles Davis on a regular basis, among other composers/artists in those genres. Thanks to Metallica.
I was at a show from this tour with this stage last year. Lars’s drum set even goes thru the stage and is being rotated around and mechanically lifted up thru the stage at different positions. They rotate where they are on the stage all thru the set list. It’s pretty cool
The show was at AT&T stadium in Arlington (home of the Cowboys) It's a big venue where everything starts echoing. Orion is a complicated piece, so they stayed together so that they could play off each other and stay together. They moved around a lot during other songs. Both nights were great. Jaymz had just turned 60, and it was my umpteenth time seeing them live. 3rd and 4th for my kids, so it was a special night for them to play this song. Thanks for doing these reactions.
The live version you showed is from this years tour i have tickets for the 2 night event in Toronto and im sitting right next to one of the light towers ....... its going to be epic
Thank you for finally getting to this. Amazing. More old skool Metallica please. The Burton Trilogy (Kill em All, Ride The Lightning) is OUTSTANDING. …And Justice For All is a gem too! Thank you your reaction
It is indeed Ktulu on the guitar and there's writing on the back of the body and neck and on the side of the body, only I remember is ''Thing that should not be'' which as you know, is also a song from MoP but is linked to Ktulu.
you're great to watch. I like your reactions, especially because you do them in a non-standard way, often combining the studio version with the live version. Metallica actually moves the drums every 4 songs as if at 12, 3, 6, 9 o'clock. The musicians move them all over the place, but Orion requires eye contact to avoid moving apart, so they stood next to each other.
Great reaction once again!! thank you so much for doing the whole album. It is a masterpiece. Could you please do ride the lightning album next? Keep on rocking
It's great to see you two enjoy such classics! I recently turned 50 and these tracks are just as amazing as when I first heard the album in its entirety in the summer of '91. I consider Metallica a progressive metal band. And the greatest ever, prog. metal band, at that.
Ride the Lightning is my favorite record of theirs & ...And Justice for All is next, but anything from their first four albums is great and their fifth record is good (and iconic...their most famous album): The Black Album. Kill 'Em All (their first record) is the most raw.
I suggest a new band - Band Maid. They're an old school sounding all girl rock band from Japan I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, Puzzle (live) & Real Existence (live)
The guitar Kirk is playing in the live, is worth over $1 million. It’s Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac’s guitar he played on The Green Manalishi and some others. Doesn’t stay in tune, but Kirk plays it at every show.
When my wife was pregnant we had this speaker contraption that strapped to her belly and played music to stimulate the baby. It allegedly was supposed to help brain development. A disc with Beethoven and other classical composers music came with it but we played Orion and Call of Ktulu instead. We did it almost daily with both kids. I don’t know if it worked but with a stethoscope I could make out the melody through her by listening to her back and both kids are straight A students so who knows. It didn’t help with their musical taste they listen to crap tictok music these days.
Now you have a taste of an amazing album I hope you do the same for either "Ride the Lightning" or "...and Justice for all..." both are very different in sound especially with Jason joining on bass for the Justice album, if you read up there is a bit of controversy surrounding the bass on that album, it is still my personal fav regardless, both need reviewing 😊
Kiss turned me on to Black Sabbath Black Sabbath turned me on to AC/DC AC/DC turned me on to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest Iron Maiden and Judas Priest turned me on to Motorhead Motorhead turned me on to Metallica. Metallica turned me on to Death and Black Metal. I'm 61 and I love Metal I will die a Metalhead. Fun listen. If you're gonna do another Metallica album, do their best album. Ride The Lightning.
I've always considered a lot of heavy metal to be the Past/Present News set to music. Don't forget to include the cover album Garage Days Revisited from 1987.

Metallica has been without Cliff for nearly 40 years but they keep his memory alive every time they take the stage.
Metallica’s music provided comfort and solace to misfits, outsiders, they did everything their own way, no video MTV, no radio airplay they charted due to word of mouth and grew from there
I want Orion playing as my coffin rolls into the fire - if it's not, I'm getting outta that box and leaving. 💯😆
MORE METALLICA! We love Metallica!
RIP Cliff Burton. Forever Remembered.
Oh God, even before what happened to Cliff, this used to break me up! What a magnificent piece. It is 'literally' classical music in composition ❤️
Hell yeah. Rock on, folks.
Beginning is all cliff Burton on bass , he's phenomenal bass player , his short years with the band and the world made a huge impact
The reason to them being together on stage for that song is just for timing. Most songs they are spread out walking the circle. Awesome reaction
Metallica’s Orion and Damage Inc are the best songs off Master Of Puppets because Cliff Burton played a big roll on the album 💿
Even Damage is composed 😂 int just a song.... this was *the* peak! Bless you all ❤️
They have kits on this stage. They rise and descends at different places every four songs.
Orion, one of greatest Bass prominent songs of all time.
Cliffs' 2 fav songs, Master of Puppets and Orion, both played at his funeral.......RIP CLIFF! WE MISS AND LOVE YOU FOREVER!!!!!!!!!❤
Thanks for the reaction you two. Have loved the whole series. Welcome to the metal community
Great reaction as always. You should most definitely do Ride The Lightning next.
fav song

Thanks for the video I really enjoyed the masterpiece Orion🤩
I’ve been waiting for this one
GOAT
RIP CLIFF... brother

Really enjoyed "Orion" thanks for sharing
Cliff ‘em All

🤘
Just think how young they were when they wrote this masterpiece
I've loved watching your reactions to this album, keep it going!

Greeny!
And he brought Kirk 😂😂😂
The Ben Zimmerman versions of This and “To live is to die “ are absolutely incredible.
Ride the Lightning is my favorite record of theirs & ...And Justice for All is next, but anything from their first four albums is great and their fifth record is good (and iconic...their most famous album): The Black Album.
Kill 'Em All (their first record) is the most raw.
There are 4 drumkits on the stage, they are underneath the stage when one is being lowered another is put on the platform and rises up.
Will y’all be doing another full Metallica album? Ride the Lightning, Kill’em All, or …And Justice for All, perhaps?
Yes, yes, and yes... eventually LOL
Oh, hell yes!! 🤘😎🤘
@@MusicforBusyPeople fuck it all fucking no regrets no remorse is one command

That's no theater... that's Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. It seats more than 100k people. Not many bands alive could do this.
The guitar Kirk is playing in the live, is worth over $1 million. It’s Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac’s guitar he played on The Green Manalishi and some others. Doesn’t stay in tune, but Kirk plays it at every show.
I dig these reviews with you and your daughter. 😁

All the classics are great , but don’t stop there.Metallica has very interesting music even later in their career.
Agreed, They have a long list of albums and they have transformed their music through those albums creating a very long list of favorites of mine.
Primal heartbeat kingda thing.....exactly

A live performance of Damage Inc Reaction please.
Wait till y'all get a load of call of Ktulu it's gorgeous! I even love the covers and I usually don't like covers😂
Kiss turned me on to Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath turned me on to AC/DC
AC/DC turned me on to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest
Iron Maiden and Judas Priest turned me on to Motorhead
Motorhead turned me on to Metallica.
Metallica turned me on to Death and Black Metal.
I'm 61 and I love Metal
I will die a Metalhead.
Fun listen.
If you're gonna do another Metallica album, do their best album.
Ride The Lightning.
Need to do the live with Cliff 🤘😎🤘
I've always considered a lot of heavy metal to be the Past/Present News set to music. Don't forget to include the cover album Garage Days Revisited from 1987.
Just do Garage Inc.
Rest In Peace, Cliff and Ray Burton
His mom and brother, too! He had a brother who died before him.
I can’t imagine a family losing two of their offspring so young!
Cliff's masterpiece...RIP!!!
Middle tempo of the Orion blues or Waltz?
That's not a theater, it's a stadium.
Anesthesia! Pulling Teeth! Bass solo, Take one!
Please do “…And Justice For All”!
We will definitely get to it
No live disposable heros live?
Rip cliff orion takes u on a journey, good reviews folks
Very tamed people lol how u not get excited over metallica man
Ahogy össze rakjàk a vältàsokat azt tanitani kellene és azt is hogy kell jó zenét irni
Oof! Kirk absolutely butchered the second Orion solo during that live performance 😅
Metallica first four albums awesome.... Death Magnetic is my favorite recent album. Lars the drummer is easily the weakest part of Metallica.
Dolgom lenne de itt tartva zene
I don't want cool long shots from the stage. Jusr show me each of them when playing their significent part, mr stupid photography director!
🤘
