I'm a junior & I'm verrryy active😂 but I do want to attend an HBCU & I'm going to start applying maybe fall/winter of my senior year or what's your suggestions on times to start applying?
you should start applying as soon as you start your senior year.

Why are you worried ? These schools have a high acceptance rate....they literally take anyone with 1000 on the SAT. The real question you should ask is why not aspire much higher
hey, I have a 3.2uw/4.3w, I took mostly all honors classes, I’m in 2 clubs, have 2 leadership positions, had a summer job, have a lot of community service(300+ hours), and did an internship, do you think I have a chance?
You definitely have a chance!! I just finished watching a video of a group of young women who attend Howard and most what you described is exactly what they said is acceptable !! You got this 💙💙✊🏾
I’m not a sports person, but I do a lot of volunteering and clubs, I do ecology club and social justice right now. But next year I’m planning to do interact club, social justice, ecology club, and women’s empowerment. So far I have 16 hours for volunteering at the library. And I plan to volunteer at a clinic and the hospital this summer. I’m only a sophomore though. Do you think that’s enough?
i’m guessing since your comment is 2 yrs old you’re a senior like me now :) but yes!! try to get in as much stuff as you can (of course in moderation and where you can actively participate) also, try to get involved in internships and clubs that have to do with the field you want to go into or study in college. i hope that makes since. good luck
@@KandaceGilliam I graduated last year, I’m a freshman in college now :). you wanna know what’s funny? I didn’t even end up going to a hbcu they didn’t give me enough aid 🤣
@@KandaceGilliam I just saw this lol but I ended up going to Georgia state (I’m from Jersey) but I’m gonna transfer back to a school in my state (rutgers).

I don’t do that many clubs, because I feel like I’m sitting in class again, and I take ap classes lol.
