I work at the National library in Sweden, we have it in a special room, and Codex Gigas with the page with the famous Devil depiction open can be viewed by anyone (i.e. when the pandemic is over)
Has it been fully translated and made publicly available via copies?
@@bored8321 translated, am not sure. But I know I have seen scanned copies online at the swedish royal library's website.
@@fmdmackan nice! I mean if they're written in latin, I suppose it should be easy to decipher.
@@bored8321 Yes and according to Wikipedia it is indeed writen in Latin.
“Pandemic”
The cool (and somewhat creepy) thing about the book is that there's absolutely no mistakes in the handwriting. Every letter is impeccable, and not a single sign of an error.
@Amber maillet 😅😅
Count St.Germain had, and has the same talent .He is the secret one we should be expecting. Has been many characters for eons.
That's cause it was created supernaturally
All done very quickly
Lucifer works in majestic ways.
This medieval manuscript is insane. The penmanship is immaculate through out and consistent showing no tiring or strain while writing it at any point. Not to mention the theme, size, and nature of this item is shrouded in mystery and legend. It's the largest known medieval manuscript in human history.
how did u manage 2 view it/.?
Lol at Rob. He thinks it’s not real. So Peters, what do you think the content of the book means? What do you think it means when you see Jewish antiquities in there? When you see Israel and Palestine do you see evil there?

What's crazy is, thinking that the monastery blindly took this book from him and did not question how it was completed in 24 hrs, and/or accuse him of consorting with the supernatural when seeing the size of it.
mind was very different back then
it obviously wasnt written in 24 hours
@@dietcoke1872 What you deem as 24 hours is not what you as a being of antiquity can comprehend. So maybe close your mouth and open your ear.

@@deezissus636 Were u there? Brother?
First time i was this early this book was still going through the editor
I was late to that as well, i arrived as One Thousand and One Nights was being written
Calling it an evil book was probably just a way to really sell the book, considering it worked as it ended up in the possession of a Holy Roman emperor. This book's reputation mirror's the reverence of Holy Spear Tip of Longinus. Which you should totally talk about at some point, perhaps for Easter. That object walked and talked more than money!
As one medieval commentator put it, "If I brought together all the fragments of the True Cross which have been offered for sale, I'd have a forest."
I think that a book of that caliber would be highly valued even without the devil backstory.
Who was selling it?
Do the shroud of Tourrin as well
So what exactly are the ideals preached in this book?

A single monk would need the backing of some benefactor to complete such an undertaking. Think of the work that just went into producing the pages alone. 160 animals to be slaughtered, skinned and prepared. Everything had a cost, ink, bindings etc. Book binding was a craft in itself. Fascinating.
Most likely the story was fabricated by the original monk and he had or stole the book or the monastery was lying someone is capping
@@forever-fm1rw of that there is no doubt, that book was not completed in a night, more like 10,000 nights.

What about his work in “primal”?
I know a story about this it goes....
Necronomicon ex Mortis, The Book of the Dead. Bound in human flesh and inked in blood, this ancient Sumerian text contained bizarre burial rites, funerary incantations and demon resurrection passages. It was never meant for the world of the living. The book awoke something dark in the woods. It took Linda, and then it came for me. It got into my hand and it went bad, so I lopped it off at the wrist. But that didn't stop it, it came back. Big time.

My thoughts are that this man was a hermit who spent his life working on this book only to have it stolen by some shady monastery and monks who then accused this man of working with the devil so no one would hear his cry for justice for having his book stolen which clearly seems to be a book mixed with knowledge on the forces of dark and light, health and sickness, satan and heaven as much of the medieval age was. This seems most likely to me and I'm even a Christian who believes in the supernatural but I'm also not credulous or superstitious. either
This seems more closest to the truth. I believe it took him a lifetime to complete. Giving it has animal skin, real wood cover along with metal chains to bind it closed. I'm pretty sure The deal was made it took him a long time to complete 24 years maybe not hours 😅
Incorrect.
@dondada6602 Wow! What an intellectually stimulating reply! You have me convinced. Who can resist such reason!?
MAYBE it was already secretly written and well hidden by the time it was produced...

I would be very interested in you creating a series on mythical dragons. Loved this one, remember studying about awhile back.
The deal was the Devil would only get the of the Monk if he "finished the book" What if Herman himself reomved the missing ten pages and destroyed the since technically without the missing pages the book isn't finshed
but if those pages were written inside the book, doesn't that mean that at some point it had to be complete? Or were the pages unwritten?
It might also be because monks on purpose added flaws to the works of their hands, because these works were by the hands of mortals and not God and their work could never be like that of God.
how could it be missing pages if it wasn't finished?

The illustrations are simultaneously showing off & hiding something of Priceless value. There is a sacred symbolism used within those pages that when understood, reveals a very Sophisticated and technological Part of History that is being suppressed, even today. Using the "monster" & using the word "cursed" kept even the bright minds from seeing what is seen by those who have been privileged to experience by Sight and Spirit.

For all the idiots saying the picture of the devil looks weird and funny. It’s because it’s a long of centuries ago painting in a book. If it were modern it would’ve looked different. The picture depicts of what the sin of the devil is, why do you think he has two tongues when your suppose to have one? Father of (Lies) is the reason. You have one tongue to speak and two ears to hear, think about it. His body represents a dragon when most religions depicts the devil as a evil dragon and dragons don’t have two tongues, but claws and fangs as teeth. Know what your laughing at before you do because dark forces are nothing to play with. Stay bless and God bless.
Good points, look forward to other comments you made on this and other videos. If you have any social media please share.

I don’t know whether you can see posts I commented on here on YT but a woman was telling me about judging. I told her notice how everyone wants to say don’t judge me don’t judge me when clearly all judge and now look at our world. People are crazy as hell now and they want to twist the Bible into what suits their needs. Chaos is everywhere now. The Bible says judge righteously. And she couldn’t come at me because scripture is scripture.
A satanist girl told me there are no such things as genders like…. Total brainwashed.

Many dragons do have two tongues. Dragons can have anything as they aren't real.
It is a little presumptuous, in my mind, to claim definitively that that is why he has two tongues. Perhaps it's merely a artistic choice? Perhaps if represents something else?

🤔🤔curious that the codex gigas huge size and illustrations are associated with the devil. In Japan gigantic weapons (Nodachi sword as an example) are associated as the favorite weapons of demons (Oni) 🤔🤔
The depiction of the devil in this codex gigas seems more like ludicrous satire more than some sort of ominous representation. Devil seems like a wacky cartoon of the boogeyman dreamed up by the creators of Ren and Stimpy instead of some sort of darkly medieval rendering. Belial from the Fantasia animated movie seems closer to scary then the codex gigas Satan.
@MKULTRA - I agree. That depiction probably scared the bejesus out of people looked at it back in it inception. But from my point of view, it just looks goofy.
The mystery is really the consistent penmanship. Even if a book is copied by a single scribe, human penmanship tends to change over time especially with such a large manuscript. Weird.

In learning all knowledge, the monk learned of unfaith. When he believed he knew everything, or held everything in his possession, the Creator was no longer real. All the darkness was simply that, whatever that may be, and so the devil was merely that. The devil believes he's God, and therefore he's the devil. God knows he's the devil, and therefore he is God.
