For gowns I graduate next year at uOttawa and it’s like an hour before and 45 mins after the ceremony we have to return it 😂 I wish we could get them earlier for photos haha (and No grad caps for us either 😅)

Congratulations!! In Germany many unis (including the ones I went/go to) don't really have a graduation ceremony, for my bachelors I didn't have anything at all (okay it was covid too tbf) and I just got my diploma in the mail which was so weird 😂this year I'm finishing my masters and there is gonna be a ceremony but in JANUARY NEXT YEAR when I'm gonna turn in my thesis this August/September :( so everyone is already gonna be working at this point and many people not coming - so I can just second what you said, if you have an actual ceremony GO! I wish I had one
