To help keep mine clean I always put a little bilge cleaner down my shower drain so that it would be in there while I was away from the boat. It kept the box clean and smelling fresh. Wow you have a fish in yours lol
That's a good idea, it certainly can't hurt. The fish came in through the seacock. I opened it up to try and flush out some of the last of the "water" that was in there and it didn't really work lol.
Yes! It has made its way in when I opened the seacock. I had hoped running some salt water into the box would help flush out the remaining "debris" but it did not... The fish was dumped overboard and swam away.
Hi! I have the same boat. Have you ever had to access the shower drain? We have a leak onto the floor outside f the shower, and I am trying to see if a new drain might be the fix, but I can't figure out access. Thanks!!
@@victoriagawlik9079 hello! On my 83 I had a very small area to where the shower pan drain was. It was outboard of the port side main stinger. Probably about 6" from the floor. I was able to blindly reach my hand in there to remove the old metal drain and replace and reseal.

This was the perfect opportunity to have Mike Rowe & the Dirty Jobs crew stop by for a day

@WJsLifeonaBoat follow up, did you drill your own access whole? i cant get an angle to put my whole arm in the existing springer hole
@@victoriagawlik9079 I did not have to do any additional cutting or drilling. What year is your boat?
@@WJsLifeonaBoat it is an 87
@@victoriagawlik9079 okay so that's different than mine, they changed the bathroom layout to have a sperate shower.
I enjoyed the obviously planned tool fumbling in this video 🤡
It's always the little things.
