My dad was a childhood friend of Natalie Wood. He always got a twinkle in his eye when he spoke of her. She was beautiful!
I think anyone can see why, she was absolutely gorgeous, my father had such a crush on her growing up…I imagine he’s up there in heaven, talking it up with her❤❤❤❤
I just read Natalie's bio and it said she was terrified of "dark water" starting as a child because her mother told her she predicted that would be the cause of Natalie's death.
I also heard she couldn't swim.
What a natural beauty Natalie was and in addition a compassionate person....So sad to have lost this beautiful woman so soon! She deserved more, even with whatever demons and frailties she had...she was human....and did not deserve this early terrible death. God bless her! You were wonderful Natalie....a wonderful, beautiful woman, a compassionate human being. So sorry we lost you so soon!
I really like your comment..she had loads of passion and she was always just herself in interviews, no fakeness there. She should still be here..she would be 82 and i bet she would have still looked beautiful
Watched it tonight, it was wonderful...sad, beautiful, warm and loving. I recommend it highly. 💔😢
I waited all day and missed it I'm on west coast time and it was East coast 😰😥😭
Brilliant actress! She was the best of her generation, bar none. She was the whole movie in "Miracle on 34th Street" And my personal favorite "Splendor In The Grass" She should have won the Oscar for that! The documentary takes it's title from that movie. Still wish she were with us.
Sharon Ramone I am trying to picture her at 82.
She would have been even more beautiful, and have an armfull of Oscars!
Natalie Wood was so stunningly beautiful
and her daughter... not.
Her feelings are entirely understandable, but she is the last person to have objective insight. Suzanne Finstads book is a model of investigative journalism and worthy of a Pulitzer. Natalie is not served by further denial of the evidence. It is very very sad.
The documentary is not as complete as it should be
I think all the theories are just that, they were all drunk and being drunk on a boat, yacht or whatever makes people careless. Even on cruise ships people who get rip roaring drunk fall over board, or jump because they are either high on drugs or so out of it. It was nothing other than that. I have been on a boat where people were drinking way too much and it was pretty scary for us sober people.
I am a big fan of Natalie Wood. She was so beautiful. I agree with one of the comments, they drank too much, and the horrible accident, was because of drinking too much. So sad a life was lost because of that. RIP Natalie you are missed and loved my your fans.
Splendor in the Grass is still my favorite movie. Natalie Wood is still my favorite actress....
she was fantastic in that movie
It is such a wonderful film!
Great movie.
Mine too loved it
I saw a lot of her movies! We miss
you,Natalie!
My favorite actress ❤️
I feel sorry for this girl. She only knows what Robert Wagner told her. I believe he could have saved Natalie Wood when she fell over board or he pushed her overboard. He did not allow the captain to turn on the light and get help right away. I believe after all these years he has not taken responsibility for what happened on that yacht.
Not if they were all drunk. I have been on a boat where people were drunk and they were doing stupid things.
Amen
@@51Saffron I understand but Wagner wouldn't allow the captain to turn on the search light and call the coast guard when he heard screams. Other boaters heard screams also. Wagner knows what happened and I hope he tells her daughters the truth before he dies.
@@ja1505 We do no know what the truth is when it comes to witnesses and what they claim they heard or saw, for the most part many are proved unreliable.
Natalie Wood was almost 30 years older then me but she was still my Hollywood crush.
I loved Natalie Wood and when she died I was devastated because she was one of my favorite actress during the early 50s and 60s. She was magnetic and no one of her talent could touch her. I remember two of my favorite movie, "Love with a Proper Stranger" with Steve McQueen and my favorite Christmas movie, "Miracle on 34th Street" which Maureen O'Hara said, "Natalie was a precocious child and knew her lines as well as others." Amazing stories Maureen told about Natalie who she loved working with her in several other movies beside "Miracle on 34th Street.
Beautiful woman. God knows the truth about what tragically happened to her.
How could her daughters auction off Natalie Wood s things ??? If she was my mom I’d keep everything why why wood they do that? Disgusting and how can they defend RJ? The guy clearly knows what happened to Natalie he’s responsible wake up November 2021
Maria, I've just met a girl named Maria, that wonderful song, WESTSIDE STORY.💖💖💖
West side story was her best performance.
As a little girl I watched alot of her movies mostly West side story. She could play a variety of parts that made her a outstanding actress. I plan on watching her documentaries . Rest In Love
I’ve seen the documentary and thought it was wonderful. Of course one can argue it is biased because it was made by a daughter who clearly adored her late mother. Nonetheless, the film really left me feeling I knew her better as a person - and I was impressed. Natalie Wood seemed like a strong and good person. who was talented, intelligent and thoughtful. This is not about her death but rather her life and then the event which ultimately ended it.
Very sad she was robbed of her mother so young. Beautiful daughter. But creepy stepfather Wagner. Idk if he’s guilty but the feeling is that he is 😶
She was my favorite actress growing up. I remember when she died. After hearing all the reports of the suspicious circumstances I disliked Wagner. But after watching this documentary, I'm convinced it was a terrible accident.
Yes i believe it was a terrible accident also ,she had to much to drink that night got in the dingy slipped fell in the water couldnt swim and drown,it was a tragedy, Robert wagner LOVED Natalie end of story
I don't think Robert Wagner is a murderer. He is clearly a very sophisticated, intelligent man who has led a life most of us could only dream of. His daughters love him dearly, as is evident in the documentary, and clearly don't blame him for their mom's death.
Having said that and giving respect to the family and their grief, I don't believe Mr. Wagner's story. I think something happened. Most likely accidental, but potentially criminal. If. If Natalie was killed it was most likely not premeditated and possibly unintentional.
I watched the Documentary. It was very well done and a loving tribute to a true star. The most interesting part of it though, is when Natasha interviews Wagner. He gives a complete account of the evening. One can imagine the LAPD calmly going over the original files with comparison in mind.
I laughed out loud when Mr. Wagner said of Walken, "He, by the way is a very stand up guy."
If my limited suspicion of Mr. Wagner is true, this is the most astoundingly cheeky comment ever made by someone who has most likely gotten away with a crime. Not to mention the understatement of a lifetime.
Jacques contant I agree!!!!
He killed her & it was a very deliberate act. Anyone that thinks otherwise needs to #1 Research Mr. Wagners personality, habits, tendencies, & temperament. #2 Read his own books as he tells you just how awful of a human being he actually is. #3 Consider MOTIVE, because Mr. Wagner was the ONLY individual with MOTIV & plenty of it to want his wife gone. Lastly, Jill St
John was one of the few people "allowed" to visit Mr. Wagner in his "grief" immediately after Natalie died, she was beside him at Natalie's funeral, & she hasn't left his side since, (with both of them having tried & failed to rewrite the narrative that they didn't get together romantically until a long time after Natalie's death that has repeatedly been proven to be untrue with ample evidence it was DAYS to WEEKS after his wife died before they were shacking up. Hope he burns in he'll for eternity.
1 other person knows what happened and that was the captain of that boat. He heard it all and had done interviews about what he witnessed. Wagner and Walken were responsible, but everything happened in a drunken, angry fight.
wagner and walken......untouchable. they belong to the same club and they protect their own. anybody else would have been thrown in jail long ago. walken is never even mentioned or quoted, that should tell you something.
Wow think her daughter would want justice for her mother
Natasha is torn between Robert Wagner and the media.
When I was in my 20s, I didn't go a week without someone telling me I looked like Natalie Wood. She was already gone but it was very recent at that time. I've felt very protective of my memory of her passing and her fear of water. The first thing I thought was Robert Wagner got away with her death, however categorized. Last time someone told me I looked like her, I was 40. A long time ago...
I can definitely still see that. You are so beautiful and i can tell you have a lovely soul ❤️ have a great day love
@@maryjjaneeee Thank you. That has brightened my day (and these last awful months of covid)!
Natasha, Thank you for sharing your life.
Robert Wagner knows.
Splendor in the Grass was a great movie.
I like Natasha. She is very composed. Her sister Lana is hysterical. It is over forty years. Lana could never get on with her life because of Natalie. She never grew up. Lana has a very vivid imagination.
How horrible the monster got away with killing her!!!!!!!
Natasha's a picture of her Mother .
Robert Wagner is 90 years old
now even to me that's old...
Robert wagner was recently diagnosed with dementia.
@@harperstacey9604 How awfully sad is that. My Father had Dementia which later developed into Alzheimer's at the age of 77. Not a pretty way to remember one's Parents Golden Years
@@christinamiller1323 I feel sorry for Robert Wagner. I don't believe he killed his wife. I think it was a tragic accident.
Sorry but I think she got between a fight with Wagner and Walker and hit her head. To be found a ways away was very alarming to me!!
How can this be a new documentary if it's 2 years old?
Wow she really looks a lot like her mom, there wasn’t a movie she made that I didn’t like,I watched Gypsy just two weeks ago,and my memory of West Side Story was seeing it for the first time in the theater with my best friend, she transcended beautify from child actor to adult actor, and who can forget her in Rebel Without A Cause?
Poor Natasha her dad has her brain washed. I still think he is guilty. Natasha is beautiful like her mom.
Um....refresh my memory.....isn't Robert Wagner the killer.....🤔
Allergedly
No
He just called a person of interest in the case. They never named him. But he holds the key of mystery but he so charming enigma.
@@amrose4214 the truth will die with him
Nope...he is not.
RJ has tainted this child's memory of Natalie & that is sad!
Can someone explain the accident, someone who is afraid of the water go out to fix some dinghy, while she went missing for all that time what where the men doing
I have a picture of hers. I believe she was
In her 30 s a very classy, She was wearing
A black dress with a long pearl necklace.
She was half sitting in chair. She looked.
So gorgeous! !!! I have allways love her.
Style. One thing I have to say why did her
Family neglectede to have a better burrial.
Plot for her ?"""
I will always believe he killed her.
Renee Fox Never!
Why?
Do you know any of them?
Natasha's family is super close...deep deep love for each other that was hard won after Ms. Wood died! And...what does that say, calling Robert Wagner a murderer, about the character of his daughters?
And his current wife of 30 years??
A true psycho/killer ALWAYS reveals what they have done...eventually.
Look at OJ.
Robert Wagner is a class act...and so is Christopher walken.
The true turds are Ms. Woods sister and the boat captain...Dennis.
Ann McCall Hello Ms. McCall. No I don’t know any of them but apparently you do. My belief is just that as is yours. For the record, you don’t have to be a psycho to kill especially a crime of passion when alcohol, jealousy and rage are involved. Hard won? He’s a very charming charismatic actor, so playing the “part” after the fact means nothing.
@@reneefox9640
The facts are...there is no evidence it was anything but a tragic accident.
Mr. Wagner would have exhibited signs of some type of aggressive behavior BEFORE and AFTER Natalie's death.
Especially after...
It would take a true sociopath to NOT exhibit any behavior if he was guilty...
Neither Mr. Wagner or Mr. Walken have ever shown any signs or behaviors of anything close to being culpable in Ms. Woods death.
And yes...I was a neighbor to the family for many years...I base my opinion on what I not only observed then but what has happened in the past 38 years.
That's it...
Not one of us knows how Natalie ended up in the water. No one!
And to be so thoughtless to her children to make cruel judgements in public is just plain wrong.
Natasha, Courtney and Katie were so very young and traumatized as any child would be losing a loving Mother.
Yet the horrific part is those daughters get retraumatized over and over...38 years of continued public scrutiny...by comments like yours or Lana or Dennis or the media; cruel salacious stories, books, articles and comments about Natalie's death.
It is wrong and so disgusting.
Natalie's daughters have taken the high road for 38 years...
Natalie would be extremely proud of her daughter's.
We should be too and give nothing but our full support to them!
Ann McCall It is apparent that I have struck a nerve which certainly was not my intent. To merely state one’s opinion and or belief is met with a dissertation and debate that I won’t continue. You are correct! We were not there and we do not know how she ended up in the water, however, Robert Wagner was there and he knows.
She should know ... she was there... oh hold on a minute.
Are they ever going to allow her to RIP?
Why would a Soul without a physical body need to rest ?
I do not like Robin Roberts at alllll
Alcohol? So why didn't RJ jump in after her when he knew she could not swim. And why didn't RJ allow the captain to shine a light to help find her?
He killed her! They fought both drunk and he hit her on the head! He threw her overboard but she was still alive; By the way this creep is not her real father! Natalie's sister firmly believes he did murder her! Natalie did not have a good end!
There's no proof of that.
@@ASmith-jn7kf The captain of the boat later on and told the truth! Also he told him not to report her missing for hours after he killed her! Your young do I you're research! This is an old story! Everyone knows he did her in!
Is Natashas father Wagner? I'm just wondering why she has the name Gregson in her name?
Just after 2:00...the reporter says, "...her beloved step father..." I think they did have children together, but she isn't one of them.
She is Richard Gregson's daughter but was raised by Robert after her mom divorced Richard.
So the story was - they were all wasted. She found hubby messing around with Chris Walkin. Big fight. She later somehow goes overboard. Drunken husband let her drown.
He refused to call the coastguard after they argued… until over 4 hours later👀 hhmmm
God knows what happened, anything nefarious will be answered for in due time.
The daughter makes me cringe 😬
Why does she make you cringe? She didn't do anything wrong.
That's not a compliment to say she would be on board with LGBQ.
Natasha sounds like her mom.
I love GMA news
Maybe Robert Wagner paid her off
Wagner did it i mean its not the boogiman that did it
OMG a woke daughter!
I think Jill was behind the death of Natalie she’s was so jealous of Natalie because of her beauty and because she had RJ
Speculation keeps coming up its still unsolved case according to The LAPD, Wagner is 90 years old soo hmm still being charming actor and liar, but the daughter gonna believe that just a bad accident. Hmm they tying in the that was alot of booze that night hmm but sort of tying to Christopher Walken in this tragedy but not saying he had anything to do it, still the key lies with Wagner who talk to film director but not the police, intriguing. Natasha sounds a bit shaky like she is having some doubts. Just enphasizing how forward thinking Natalie was.
Robin Roberts , is that an adams apple I see ??
Wagner had nothing to do with Natalie’s accident. The BS Davern has been selling for decades is just that, BS.
Then y did he wait hrs befre he reported her missing when he knew a psycic predicted she would drown many yrs earlier! She struggled in that water fr a long time. It was horrifying. They fought so didnt care wat happened to her. Hes a monster😣 wake up! She was my favorite actress of all time. She didnt deserve to die like that😳
And you know this how? You don't even know that it was an accident in the first place, let alone that you know who didn't cause it.
Alota people in denial here. An expert said she had fresh bruises on her body consistent with a beating. Wow. Yur brains r nt wrkin rt if u dont believe this phony didnt let her die frm the 1 thing she feared her whole life. N my brother drowned when he was a child. Its a tramatic way to die.
@@su-rv2uq yeah u mke sense😯 researched it for mny yrs. Do yur homewrk. Over and out.....
Monica Ford Nope. Wagner called about 1:30 am which wasn’t more than a half- hour since he discovered Natalie missing. He also saw that the dinghy was missing, too. He never suspected she was in the water. That call started people looking for and then searching for her. It was determined both in the 1981 and the 2012 autopsy that Natalie died around midnight, so she died not long after she entered the water. That was based on the contents of her stomach and knowing the last time she ate that night. The original three coroners determined that the bruises on her body were not made from being hit or beaten. The dinghy had a tubular metal frame around its exterior, and other hard plastic and metal surfaces probably made the bruises as Natalie tried to hoist herself over and into the dinghy. The one on her cheek had an upward direction to it and the coroners felt that she was bruised by the boat as she fell into the water. Many of the bruises on her legs were a few days old and made from bumping herself on the boat. Also, it wasn’t Wagner’s decision when and if to call the Coast Guard, that was left to the harbor master. The CG needed daylight to do a helicopter search.
It seems all three were drunk and her affair with walken was revealed..drunk and guilty, she could have jumped in and offed herself. These things do happen..get a grip "blamers"
Sebastian Baca Her affair with Walken was revealed? Really?
I loved Natalie she was my favorite silver screen actress,I have seen all of her movies,She was amazing. She is gone but never will she be forgotten!.farhana😃
Robert Wagner's actions while Natalie was missing and after she was found, speak for itself. I don't feel her death was intentional. A tragic accident, fueled by alcohol. Mr. Wagner was worried about his career and covered up. Just my opinion.
@Judy0007 that's exactly what happened. I did alot of research on it years ago. I was 13 when she died and was very much in love with Hart to Hart. I thought he was going to Marry Stefanie Powers after Bill Holden died as well. She must've figured him out I guess ? Do you know anything about why he didn't Marry Stefanie and was suddenly with Jill ? I know she was in the pilot of H2H. Stefanie, Jill and Natalie were in Dance Class together as Kids. I couldn't believe how arrogant RJ was to Lana at the Palm Springs Hotel. Wow did he sound guilty !!
Yeah, and Ms. Jill is always hanging on and casting a long shadow.
Lori Miller Robert Wagner never dated Stefanie Powers nor was ever involved with her!! She was in a relationship with William Holden for many years until his death.
He was bffing walken
Prickly_pear pervert. Wrong!
Natalie Wood was the most beautiful actress of that era, it wasn't just the alcohol at all, Natasha can convince herself it was an accident all she wants if it makes her feel better..but Natalie Wood didn't just fall into the water by accident that night, she was pushed...so tragic
And Robert left her there to teach her a lesson and she died. May his Karma find him and show him ZERO mercy!
I thought Ms wood was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen at the time.
You have been reading deulusional Lana who wrote a book for the money . She could not get on with her life. Natasha has handled this very well. It was an accident. She was drunk when she went to stop the dingy from hitting against the yacht. She slipped and fell into the water. Then she received many bruises from trying to get into the dingy. Her time ran out.
The elephant in the room never touched never mentioned.... only those two men know what happened, really.....
God Knows ❤️
@Rene Giovanni I felt the moment I heard of this that she was murdered. That has never left me and I still stand by it. I will never get over that, she was my favorite actress.
@Rene Giovanni I hear you and agree. Hoping there is justice in the end and that she is at peace with whatever happened.
The alcohol was definitely a factor in her death, the alcohol and the pushing into the water by Robert Wagner😂
Very sad day when I heard Natalie Woods had died. Loved her movies. In fact, she was the most beautiful lady in movies.

I believe it was an accident ,
It is just my opinion. Every body can think how they want to to think. Being an actor has nothing to do with it to me. And you spelled my last name wrong. It is Godbold. Really only God knows what happened and they do. End of this story. Have a Blessed Day!
living is easy with eys closed
This is utterly ridiculous. The woman has clearly been indoctrinated by Wagner to believe everything he has told her. She wasn't there, so she has no idea what happened and how it happened. Wagner and Walken are slick guys, and celebrities. Natalie was murdered, maybe by accident, maybe intentionally, and both men are walking free. Natasha may not want to believe her stepfather could do this, but to swear up and down that he didn't shows blind obedience to what he has told her to believe.
And you know this as....fact?
You know the family personally?
Oh! You know the facts of the case!
I doubt it...
Ann McCall Well, it's kind of obvious she truly believes without question...But it's understandable.
I believe both Natasha and Courtney know what happened and have forgiven Wagner. Natasha's primary motive for the documentary and book is to rehabilitate her step-father's image in the event he may be indicted in the near future. In her book, she very subtly criticizes her mother while her father is put up on a very undeserved pedestal, where he remains to this day.
Robert Wagner and Christopher Walkin both men know what happened to the beautiful actress. One of them is a murderer.
This was a small yacht. They act like they were on the Queen Mary. They could hear everything.Davern told the truth.
Nothing revealed, nothing worth hearing.
Bullshit!
She is totally tone deaf and out of touch.. and that sailboat in the background ugh
Robert Wagner knows what happened. To me, closure is when you know the truth
After how many years?? This story has been told so many times, I could probably do a documentary.
Never done like this, it was outstanding.

And did NOTHING
One of my favorite actresses!
It's obvious with all of the evidence that RJ hit Natalie so hard in the head when she fell into the water. According to Dennis, everything became silent SO quickly.
RJ thought he killed her, but instead, she became Unconscious. RJ instructed Dennis to look around the boat for Natalie to give himself time to Untie the Dingy.
Dennis came back, and RJ said, "the Dingy is gone TOO." Well, of course, the Dingy is gone too - you just untied it and cast it out with Natalie.
RJ was SO drunk. First, he thought he killed her and wanted to make it look like she drowned, but next, he hears her screaming for help. He knew their marriage was over right now - all Natalie's money - who would get it? RJ knows right now who will get. He allowed her to drown.
Why did Wagner refuse to turn on the floodlights when Natalie went missing or all the police? I think he killed her but didn't mean to in a drunken, jealous rage because she was flirting with her co star Christopher Walken. Chris was sleeping in another room on the other side of the boat.

Natasha Gregson Wagner laments how the circumstances and controversy surrounding Natalie Wood's death have overshadowed her life and career... and yet almost half the documentary is devoted to rehashing Wood's demise and the suspicions and allegations around it. Meanwhile, the account the doco gives of Wood's rise to fame and her career is shallow and perfunctory. It seems that, even with the best of intentions, the producers, the director and Natasha Gregson Wagner herself just couldn't resist the lure of scandal - and a documentary that pays proper tribute to Natalie Wood's career is still to be made.
