Angharad Mair is a Welsh television presenter; previously the lead presenter on the nightly S4C Welsh language news programme, Heno and the BBC Wales news programme, Wales Today.
Angharad is an Executive Director with Tinopolis, one of the main independent media companies in the UK, and she is Chair of Tinopolis Wales.

Da iawn fawr! Can’t agree more, especially seeing the impact of Cambridge Analytica upon our country (and how it’s cost us so dearly to date), it is my belief that it is imperative that media powers be devolved first - because if we can’t communicate with our own people, our independence will remain a figment of our imaginations.
Education is key, and many of our countrymen and women know not of how Wales works or how Westminster bullies us into suppression (or the lack lustre attitude of those in the Senedd to demand more law making powers) - so without the means of educating our people... we will never learn.

A good talk there. Whilst I do believe that broadcasting will play a very important part in an independent Cymru, internet streaming has fast become the norm for many people.
And while a public broadcaster will be important for our democracy moving forward, independent companies will be important too.
I have been wondering for a while if production companies, content creators and broadcast companies in Cymru can find a way to work together in developing a platform to stream film and TV productions to us. From news & weather, drama, comedies and live content. Productions made for us and available on any screen, at any time. That is something I believe will give us a good advantage and help significantly in adding our voice to the global community.
