Betty's Chilled Oreo Dessert

  • Betty demonstrates how to make a Chilled Oreo Dessert. This is a layered dessert made of cream cheese, Cool Whip, and chocolate pudding, with an Oreo cookie crust.
    Chilled Oreo Dessert
    1 package standard Oreo cookies (36 cookies)
    6 tablespoons melted butter
    8 ounces cream cheese, softened
    ¼ cup sugar
    2 tablespoons milk
    12 ounce carton Cool Whip, thawed
    2 small packages instant chocolate pudding & pie filling
    3 ¼ cups milk
    1 cup mini chocolate chips
    Place cookies in a food processor. Pulse until cookies turn into crumbs. Add crumbs to a large bowl containing melted butter. Stir until butter and crumbs are well combined. Press crumbs into a 13-inch by 9-inch by 2-inch baking dish. Chill for a few minutes. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat cream cheese until light and fluffy. Stir in 2 tablespoons milk and the sugar. Fold in 1 ¼ cups Cool Whip. Spread over chilled crust. In another large bowl, beat chocolate pudding mix with the milk until it thickens, about 5 minutes. Spread over the cream cheese layer. Chill for about 5 minutes. Spread the remainder of the Cool Whip over the top of the dessert and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips. Chill for at least 4 hours (or overnight). Cut into squares and serve. I hope you love this dessert! Love, Betty ♥♥♥
